  1. It could be a step towards one though perhaps. Quite a number of posts have championed a magazine style round up of all fixtures as being on their wish list. Until now the coverage simply hasnt been there to consider it. With this new tie up with a bit of forward thinking and development it could be.
  2. Incredible natural talent but wasn't able to fulfil his potential. Didn't seem to have the will to apply it fully. Mad as a box of frogs if even a few of the stories Ive heard are true! Suffered a serious arm injury before retiring.
  3. The 19th is the Wednesday. Is that the day of this meeting? The Saturday is the 22nd - when NKI and KB are already booked to ride in the Morten Risager testimonial. Is another benefit meeting about to be undermined??
  4. Many may scoff but IMO this is one of your more sensible posts! Certainly more than capable of 4.50 to 5 points which would mean 50 to 67% increase and few will achieve that.
  5. As Badge mentioned he will be riding elsewhere as well.Very little choice given the number of teams riding. I havent looked for other options just replying to Beerhuts Comets suggestion.
  6. Didnt Len Silver say something very similar about Nelson? Thought all the paperwork was in place before Nelson left only to find out it had all gone pear shaped after all. FWIW Id like to see it sorted and all the visas issued but unfotunately doesnt look likely.
  7. One point Id say is relevant is that about in order for a rider on a tier 5 visa to compete then ALL clubs would have to obtain a tier 5 licence regardless of whether they themselves have a rider on that visa. Presumably this comes at some cost and so you can understand clubs saying no - unless Somerset and the others are going to fund all 23 licences.
  8. Also stated that it will be unlikely to have a positive impact for this year but hope to get it sorted for the future.
  9. Obvious choice as he is probably the only rider to justisfy a guranteed place in a 4 man WC team.
  10. So now it becomes obvious why there was the delay. Its results day for Sky and they at the same time announced the renewal of 6 of their deals. Part of their strategy to say look at us - sign up.
  11. Does Lemon even need a visa? British wife? Permanent residency and working rights? Not certain but I think that is right.
  12. But wouldve had a facility (r/r) rather than having to use a NL 6 pointer.
  13. This is the part that seems most relevant IMO It seems that even where lessons have been learned now a further problem exists. It reads to me that with the scheme used then it would only be possible to use in alternate years. What would be good to know is what specific sponsorship scheme is referred to and if any other scheme can be used to replace it if a rider is affected.
  14. Thanks for that - although my question was more specifically about any reaction to his wrist injury.
  15. I posted a similar request for info on the Aussie U21 thread but no reply as yet. Perhaps those that 'do Twitter' could enlighten us as to whether there is anything on there(??)
  16. draft riders wiil stay at reserve all year and wont be given an average at all.
  17. Lost your happy pills mate?! lol So long as the correct process is followed then no problems. Relax and prepare to enjoy another season with a young and exciting competetive team.
  18. Good research Womble. I will play devils advocate as a pendaintic border agency worker deciding whether to stamp the Doyle visa. Point 1 - The supplementary work must be at the same level or on the shortage occupation list. DECLINE Point 3 - The additional hours must be outside the normal working hours of the original sponsorship. DECLINE
  19. Well done to the finalists. Any news about Cam? Seemed to struggle a bit and then didnt rake his final ride. All OK with the wrist?
