  1. Although still not right. That certainly wasnt 'the spin' at the time -it was always implied as patrialty. Despite my team benefiting in the Heeps case I do think this is an area that needs to be watertight. I believe there needs to be a commitment to GB with penalties if this is not adhered to.
  2. Thanks for that HT. So the 'mistake' was to allow him to ride NL. Rightly or wrongly once he had ridden NL presumably Cam came in on a 3 legitimately under that category?
  3. Rebels fans may want to check out the Leicester thread re Doyle.
  4. I disagree - I see Morten as the steady middle man and nothing more which Im sure he will do. The keys are Rohan showing he could challenge as a no1 and Adam kicking on as hoped IMO.
  5. Did the criteria get re-written? Was it different in 2011? HalifaxTiger - Cam has Brit grandparents.
  6. Its a shame that Heeps and Morris were not given any encouragement to continue as GB riders.
  7. Welcome home Gavan - thought you had moved to Poole!! Not looking too far out Id say. Personally Id throw in Scunthorpe instead of Berwick though. Worky look the stand out team to me.
  8. It was clear that Monster had underwritten the event with numerous mentions through the broadcast for fans to text their friends and encourage them to watch online for free but to make sure to contact Monster to let them know youd like more of the same next year. Also mentions of viewers all around the world and asking them to do the same. A number of other sponsors (mostly US local) also got a solid share of airtime including Hagon Shocks. Came across as a slickly organised and run event that attracted a healthy and enthusiastic crowd.
  9. Just caught up with the action this morning - the link is still active for anyone who wants to check it out. Some decent races.Great ride in the final from Scotty. Looks like a couple decent youngsters to look out for in the future too!
  10. I am one of the number that would have Leigh ahead of Morten as he is more consistent away from home. However I can see why Morten got the nod as there is still that hope that the enigma will finally deliver what it is believed he should be capable of at PL level. Can he produce a purple patch that lasts a season and not just a month or so?
  11. I will bow to your expert judgement on the one - I havent checked the exact distances/travel times. Was going purely on the instinct that Boro always seemed quicker and easier to get to than Rye from Ipswich.
  12. No team as yet and few if any options now available. May well be sitting out the start of the season.
  13. It seems 10 years in British Speedway is the only criteria now. No longer does it need to be with only one club/promoter.
  14. You can make a jump start despite being still and not touching the tapes. The trouble is Speedway has no way of proving it to be the case as they can in Athletics for example. The majority of 'blinders' are of course actually rollers and totally illegal. Too many riders sit too far back from the tapes and get awat with it.
  15. Tay broke his femur a few months ago and announced his retirement.
  16. The Laguta brothers are unproven over here as are dozens of Poles Danes and Swedes - should they all be on a 3? No - thats why criteria for other categories are set such as experience riding in other professional leagues each with a different assessed average. Its one of the clearer sections of the rule book. For some those set levels will appear too high and for others too low but it is the most appropriate course of action. There should however be no judgement as to whether the average is 'false' for an individual only that the correct category has been applied. As yet this has not happened with Brady Kurtz.
  17. Most likely come to think of it even though its a bit bizarre given Boro will be the track closest to Foxhall. That being the case the cup match would seem very logical.
  18. I dont see why there seems to have been this 'regular clarification' of the situation when the rule is so clear. There are paragraphs in the rule book that are open to interpretation due to poor wording but the section in this regard is crystal clear.
  19. But it is still not right - he should be a 7. Could still see this one rumble on before its all settled IMO.
  20. One of the bye clubs perhaps should. The only downside to it being the Witches is possible saturation as presumably Boro will join our LC group too.
  21. Id imagine the League will ditch one of the 'joker' meetings. I cant see promoters making themselves out of pocket with an extra meeting includedin the season tickets.
  22. Toatally agree that you cant just do the whole draw again. One of the clubs that did have a bye in the first round could step up though.
