If the rumoured lower points limit comes in you woukd just need the three 3 pointers to complete that team. -

Surely it doesnt hurt to speculate on and debate possibilties or put together fantasy scenarios? -
Come off it - the average situation has allowed you to build stronger. Worrall was a 9 point rider in 6 point clothing which meant you could have 4 7 pointers to fill the top 5 rather than another 4 pointer. This also meant that when you have had r/r it has been easier to cover than usual. And finally also because of this the sensational progress of Kerr has stayed at reserve when with that extra 4 pointer he wouldve moved up. Id say you have gained more than lost from Richies starting average.

I hope it was a Witch Jonny! wink -
A good detailed description from Englishroundabout for us neutrals to get a feel for the meeting but for me the most important part in the context of who may well end up with their hands on the trophy are the last few words ....' all firing at the same time'. The Rebels of course have been strong all year but seem to step up a level where needed. However the nature of the beast is that it only takes one bad night at Redcar and it could be all for nought so chins up Diamonds fans it not all over yet.

The time could be right given the likely recalibration of the cost structure and the 'top league' seemingly needing more teams to make it work. Im sure we would still need a big injection of sponsorship to do it though. Perhaps this is the change Chris is talking about. Personally Id be quite happy to stay as is unless we can be sure of being competitive. -

So if we did rejoin along with Leicester thats 12. Sheffield up for sale so anything could happen with that one. The numbers could stack up for a mid April (NZ GP 5th April) to end September season once home and away plus a cup comp. -

I have a way to help you feel better about this WK. In the GP threads you bang the drum for qualifers only. So if you think of the league system and play off groups as qualifers then you get the rightful finalists. -

and there in lies the problem for British Speedway. If Adam who is seen as one of the brightest prospects the country has is finding sponsors difficult to find then its easy to understand why all are struggling. Best of luck to Adam wherever he is next year and for securing some good back up over the winter. -

possibly - she was certainly impressed with the size of his gong! -
I think the EL needs to expand to keep Sky on board. Can see a couple of teams being tempted if they can get the right sponsorship. Perhaps then a new albeit reduced deal could be on the table.

Interesting to see your comment about Rohan being prone to crashing -probably fair comment by the way - yet you see Kozza as a replacement option! I think there is improvement in Rohan but he could be a Ricky Wells type where he steps it up at the higher level whilst not really excelling at PL. An almost identical record to Morten and few more passes. Away improvement is the key for Rohan. I would expect him to be back as he is our new asset base foundation! Ben has by his own admission been a little disappointing in terms of raw points return but for entertainment I have him every year. Cam is a must and if his signature isnt already on a contract get it done now! A possible 9 point man next year IMO. Ritchie could be a bargain at under 4 but will he still be riding anywhere. A lot depends on whether he can make it pay. Morten is Morten and perhaps too much is expected from him. Could be argued that his attitude caused the issues that ultimately cost us at the sharp end of the season . Leigh done pretty much what was expected. If you want some level of consistency Leigh is most likely to provide it. Adam I would have back - he will only get better. He was never likely to live up to the hype some placed upon him. I said anything over 4 would be superb so in my book he more than done his job. A few have mentioned his lack of passes but Id say thats unfair given his limited experience. If there is no massive change from this year I would expect at least 4 of this years team to return. Others to consider. Auty Rosen at the top. Sneddon Wethers Nielsen lower down. Everyone would want Lambert of course!
