In a perfect world yes I agree - but what is the likelyhood of Sky saying do X and we will give you Y within the next 2 weeks?
So I would say plan for nothing to be forthcoming unless the above scenario is already in the pipeline.
The big danger would be to set out a structure on a 'promise' that then doesnt materialise.
Why would Sky sign a new deal without knowing whats on offer?
Surely its down to the AGM to set out Speedways stall and then Sky (or any other) can decide if they want it.
No offence but I hope they dont. In fact quite the opposite - the restrictions should remain as tight as possible.
Also any non Brit joining the PL should not br able to drop below their initial assessed average. That way if they are good enough to add something to the league they will find a place and if not they wont block a space to give a young Brit a chance.
Seems EL promoters dont want to learn.
Coventry have announced the signings of Harris and Hansen and have already requested an average reassessment for Hansen!!
If this is how its still going to be then we are best off out of it.
No surprise that the likes of Dudek are not interested in the UK then!
Equally surprising that someone such as Cook (not critisizing him) cant get a place. You would think that he and others could 'undercut' and still make a decent living.
Obviously the Polish tracks dont see the money possibly saved as a good enough reason to give then a go.
they would be the bookies favourite to take the drop. would allow them to have more regular weekend racing and could cover the costs on their reported 700 crowds.the travel would hell though for any locals!
Apparently Mick Horton on a Coventry phone has intimated that there would be 11 teams in the Elite next year.
Given that Leicester seemed nailed on to join either the Witches are staying put or an existing is dropping out.
