  1. 15 min delay fir extra track work. Gonna be slick and slimy! Tractor victory lap on the stock car track now!
  2. Thanks for joining us on this thread Dan. Sorry you dont like how its set up! Most Witches fans are a bit jittery about the end of season chances. All a bit worried that a couple may fade away when it matters. I think so long as they listen to the experience available to them (Chris/Leigh) they can pace themselves and show what they are made of. Weather overcast and damp. Showers have been very light and are supposed to clear by 4 leaving a dry night. Lets hope the forecasters are right.
  3. After seeing tonights demolition of the Monarchs and even allowing for the returning Doyle and Morris it shows the Witches effort was a decent one. Hopefully you feel a bit better about our result BM?
  4. I agree with the comments about Rosen being the key. If he takes to Foxhall as he has most tracks so far it will be tough for the Witches to build a lead. For the Witches I think Morten is the barometer both home and away. I cant see a win of more than 12 at very best for the Witches and hope for 8 but would take any lead! As long as the weather doesnt spoil it I think this could be one to remember for a long time.
  5. The Witches lost by 30 in the KOcup at Worky and won in the league. They also lost by 20 in theLC at Somerset and last night only went down by 2 in the league. Leicester took a point at Rye - take that match off to truly even up the fixtures. What do all these comments have in common? They all mean nothing. The only fact is that Redcar are in the play offs.
  6. I agree with both parts - the congrats and the fact the Monarchs wont be going there in the final!!
  7. I think you need to see a doctor Arson. I beleive you may be suffering fron a rare but slowly spreading form of Lionitis! (wink)
  8. There is no basis for an appeal but ok lets have one. .... thats sorted- Redcar in the play offs. Didnt take too long did it.
  9. In about a fortnight ......just to pi$$ Leicester off!!
  10. R/R marginally in our favour - perhas 2/3 point swing. Morris/Mellgren evens possibly a point in our favour. Rose at 7 is NL makeweight (no disrespect intended) in recent change so even. So a 4 point theoretical swing perhaps. All guesswork of course. Whatever its sets up the tension for a Final rematch perhaps? That said with the strength of the mini groups both sides could bomb out!! Bring it on and enjoy it as it unfolds I say! edit - sorry forgot to congratulate the Rebels on topping the table.
  11. So long as he found his way out of Leicester after Saturday night he should be there.
  12. It probably is a bit harsh and there is no doubt he has bags of talent. However I think we see too many foreign riders picking and choosing meetings or only part seasons.
  13. What strange new rule will enable Edinburgh to manage to turn around the near 200 race point difference in 1 match?
  14. The wink at the the end surely gave it away that I was just teasing!! So just for you.... Well done Cookie for a masterful display of unabounded class and unmatched skill.
  15. Not the wrong thread at all. I was genuinely interested to see what the Monarchs chose to do. I took the heat 11 comments as Deek doing the bulk of the work - 'Deeks outside move allowed Cook through on the inside' (wink)
  16. That same Wolves duo turned over Ipswich in similar fashion. I seem to remember they scored 39 between them in a 45-44 win at Foxhall using both r/r and t/s rides!
  17. Possibly because the title of the thread is 'team of the year' and not 'team of a couple of months in the middle of the season ( and then only when I can be bothered)'
  18. This is Speedway so still time to change the rules. I say switch to a 4 team mini league play off. Rebels/Monarchs/Diamonds/Witches. I wont hold my breath for a Jenga like on this post though!!
  19. This is where you are confused. I dont think there has been even 1 Witches fan that has stated that Cook was anything other than MAGNIFICENT. Infact it was that level of dominance that made the choice not to give Tabaka gate 2 and therefore a better chance of a heat advantage so puzzling.
  20. I will play devils advocate here re Leicester dropping a fixture to have an level playing field. IF this was adopted as the way forward then surely the fixture to drop from Leicesters record would be away at Rye. Still Redcar througgh then!
