Who did he have to beat at Lynn though? Two riders out injured and an off form Howe just leaves the reserves of similar PL level. Last night he was passed as he made very small mistakes and found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Would you like a stick to stir that with?!

I am aware of what he called Morten - I believe it rhymes with the smallest pig in a litter!! What I meant was that once he thinks in the cold light of day he will realise he was at fault but at the time.....drama queen toys and dummy out rant!

I think Doyles reaction was all adrenalin. I must admit I thought he may be taking a trip in the ambulance so it was good to see him up despite his reaction. Perhaps he was angry with himself for losing his head. Morten was always going to put it into reverse at bend1 to keep it on the white line whilst Ben came round the outside so it was a crazy move.

It would certainly have been an unjustice had the Witches not picked up all 3 points despite a spirited effort (as I expected) from the Rebels. The curse of the No1 Witches jacket struck again -Doyle only wore it as a guest and how the voodoo curse followed him in 15!! I am aware of the £55 limit hence the wink at the end.Where theres a will theres a way! As an aside - are there any clashes with Swindon meetings and will the normal PL preference still apply? It has been mentioned that EL will get preference where the PL fixture is a change from the original fixture list. Does signing part way through the season count as a change and switch preference?

Adam has made a superb start at Ipswich. I have been incredibly impressed with his race awareness as much as his speed - he has posted the 2nd fatest time EVER at Foxhall already! Yes he has some rough edges - eg overlocking - but he is every bit the exciting prospect he is being touted as. The most important part of all is that he seems to have a determination to go with his talent and doesnt seem the 'big I am' type who thinks he has already made the big time.

What does it say about Sheffield if their only chance of an away point is to travel to the side which had the lowest combined starting average when they have 2 out injured and would be missing their most in form rider!!

I believe the guest for the number 7 has to be a NL rider who is not also riding in the PL so the likes of Blackbird Kerr and Nieksen are inelligible even if available.

I havent made a trip to Leicester and cant again this time. If all what I read is true the Witches will need their gating gloves on. It would interesting to hear the thoughts of the Lions fans that came to Ipswich as to how the racing compared to a typical Leicester meeting. The Lions were actually 2 up at Foxhall at heat 7 so must start as favourites at home. I think the Witches will get something from this one but difficult to decide if it will be 1 2 or 3 points so I'll go down the middle for a draw.

It only managed to complete one lap due to a problem. It looked like the plug came out and the water gushed out soaking a patch at the apex of 3 and 4. By time it was fixed only one lap possible.
