  1. No comparison IMO Thats my exact point - he didn't take that turn Sadly the route Billy did take was equally tragic but is one that has sympathy and sorrow attached rather than the contempt and condemnation of Carter
  2. I think the charity work was perhaps just a calculated necessary 'passport' to enable the awful things so is completely negated The 'off switch' is the difference between a 'normal' human being and a monster. I can't see anyway way to mitigate the actions
  3. Thats a great point Gap closure to the perfect 12 is much harder than big jump from a 2 or 3 starting figure
  4. Extract " ...missed the latter half of the campaign through injury and underwent surgery on his shoulder. Whilst racing in New Zealand he has still been struggling with the pain, although managed to retain his New Zealand Solo Title and the New Zealand Grand Prix championship" Doesn't seem to me he has missed a season and a half.... Rode in and retained his National title. So he made a successful return but subsequently decided to rest again. He has ridden since too No reduction of any amount is justifiable
  5. Thats the ticking time bomb for the league that no one wants to see go off.....
  6. When did anybody qualify for a reduction on the basis of missing less than half a season through injury....
  7. Wouldn't surprise me if he and others face a choice to go and stay therefore giving up the UK or foregoing Poland and sticking with the UK....
  8. Are you suggesting that if they were test events that they should exclude and discriminate against those not yet vaccinated by not allowing them to be considered for attendance?
  9. All sing along to the well known tune..... Who do you think you are kidding Mr Chapman if think that...........
  10. Humour has always been fair game as a way to deal with even the darkest of subjects The 'world' is currently trying to suppress that right for even the most innocent of situations let alone the more serious such as this one. Now that is certainly 'not good' or healthy
  11. I may be naive given I have almost zero mechanical knowledge but is there any great difference between any basic speedway engine if you take the brand stamps off?
  12. Even a poor side could increase its overall average this season 36 plus a rising star is effectively 38/39 total (41 for Sheffield ) Scoring an average 40 points and losing every meeting gets you to about that figure....
  13. Because some numpty keeps posting pointless guff and other idiots () respond
  14. One small but vital difference - many millions are capable of pulling that pint or waiting that table while only a handful could race the speedway bike......
  15. Surprised and shocked but not that it's wrong. Instead you've just said he meets the criteria so fair enough. I would be condemning ths criteria. I also mentioned previously that when I get the chance I will ask Chris why face to face Perhaps there was no real choice, perhaps Sheffield threatened to withdraw from the league. However unlikely it cant be ruled out. We are likely to never know the real decision process.
  16. All have responsibility for it as well as those above Doesnt matter who made the decisions just that the wrong ones were made. We wont know the reasons and influences No matter how much deflection Sheffield fans attempt it wont make it right. What you should be doing us condemning it rather than trying to justify it...
  17. And you will have the crazy situation of Sheffield having a No7 with a higher average than 2 of the other 6 in the team.......
