Totally irrelevent Whats relevent is that from March - September in individual grand prixs that have the best riders in the world he currently is the most consistent and therefore if he is still in that place at the end of the series he is a worthy world champion and the best rider in the world. League averages can be false and doesnt factor in any real pressure like there is in a gp. Leigh Adams was always top of most averages in most countrys yet never won the world title.

yes it seems as though Adams dad wasn't keen on my opinion that Bates had done better internationally than Ellis this season! Very sad when people are presented with facts but don't like them then block you. Kind of like taking your bat and ball away of your losing at cricket

perhaps you could enlighten me further as I can't be bothered to check the away matches but at home in the elite league Ellis has rode in the main body 2 times and reserve 7 times. In the main body against Kings Lynn and Coventry. So unless it's drastically different in the away matches then I have no idea where your info comes from! Bates at home has had 4 at second string and 6 at reserve. There is nothing between the 2 riders but would be interested to know their away matches and the position they rode at

Lambert first then Garrity. Not much between Ellis and Bates just that in the big meetings Bates has stepped up. It's not a Poole thing but Garrity has achieved more than Ellis and internationally so has Bates

No he was unlucky. British Under 21 champion and currently 3rd in the under 21 world series, despite riding with injuries. Cant quote Newman and Ellis in the same sentence as Garrity, he is miles ahead of both. Ellis in time may get there but Newman has reached his level

Please change the title then if only Poole fans can post Poole had easily the best 1-7 at the start of the season its not even an opinion its fact. They have been odds on favourites all season. Because they havent done as well as they should have you come on here and declare they arent favourites so that if you lose you can say the favourites won! Nobody falls for it as Shovlar does it every season When Belle Vue are bookies favourites then your current opinion will be correct. Will still be a massive choke when you cant beat a team that had a track that was new to everybody thus there was no advantage.

Correct but the trouble is when you post logically and factually there are the odd few Poole fans who simply can not understand. Poole built by some way the best 1-7 by quite some margin. To lose the league this season (maybe to a team that has no home track advantage) would be the biggest choke we have ever witnessed

100% spot on post Back in March Poole with that line up were the shortest price favourites that there has ever been in the history of the elite league. Still odds on favourites going into August, yet the team hasnt performed as it should have done. Maybe thats down to a lack of motivation from Middlo or Ford being afraid to make changes but Poole are having a poor season with the 1-7 they have riding for them Belle Vue with no home track advantage meant that this season should have been a cakewalk for Poole so i dont know why it hasnt happened can only be down to the promotion i guess or the state of the track. After the line ups were announced at the start of the season and then Watt being replaced by a far stronger rider in Bjarne, will this go down in the history of the sport as the biggest choke ever if Poole dont win the league?
