and the award for 'lost the plot ' post goes to????? no i wouldnt defend my team EVERY single time they did wrong. That is the Poole logic (with some fans) that it doesnt matter if they are wrong the fans believe they have a right to defend their team which is a win at all costs and stuff everyone else attitude. Why bring the Belle Vue situation up?? It has nothing to do with this thread and personally i think all the stuff Poole have done over the years is far more important to the speedway world and the lasting damage it has done on the sport.

Premier League V Elite League
Gavan replied to Shale Searcher's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Yes and no. I would never have said i would have liked premier league racing if you had of asked me 15-20 years ago. Ipswich were in the top league and seeing the world stars at Foxhall every week was just fantastic. We had quite possibly the best team ever assembled in the top league (bar Cradley) and yes we won everything but i went to less meetings s the racing was a lot of the time processional and we knew we would win every week before the start. I picked and chose my meetings and im sure others did to. Then when we were struggling recently in the elite league i again picked and chose my meetings based on if i thought it might be close rather than seeing a thrashing. Now in the premier league i cant go so much anyway due to family and work but the racing i see now is far better than what it was when we was in the latter days of being in the elite league. There is no set answer as to why people dont go so much. The lack of stars has to be one of the reasons and also location has to be another. In a lot of speedway towns there is football clubs( sometimes 2 or 3), rugby clubs even ice skating teams this has to have an impact. We hear it all the time but there isnt any other sport in Poole for their fans to go and watch, its a speedway town. Of course whatever league your team is in you will find more interesting thats obvious, but right now the elite league is so watered down and full of internal crap that im more than happy to be in the premier Have to say i find it strange you say that. Surely now its easier to pick out teams in the same suits?? I dont care either way in fact i possibly preferred it when each rider was in his own leathers rather than all the same but for a newcomer it has to be far simpler surely to have the same suits?? -
ok but if he is averaging anything from around 7 upwards then how can he possibly be riding at 2 or 4?
-
you mean you actually travel to watch meetings! I live an hour away from Foxhall and it means i have to get in my car and use petrol. Wish i lived in the same town as my club!! Starman again showing his stupidity Used to go to Ipswich Thursday, Hackney Friday, Arena Saturday and Rye House on a Sunday, of which Arena is about half hour away and the closest. No Matt Ford isnt directly 100% responsible for the dwindling crowds but when one team is so dominant and pulled many strokes to get there people get fed up and bored with it and stop going.
-
No he hasnt he has made his point and yet again your complete lack of intellect means you are unable to answer properly and actually have a debate. Those who want to see a Starman meltdown only have to go to the horse racing thread its hilarious. Matt Ford is at the centre of pretty much most controversies over the last 10 years in the sport, you cant hide from that.. Why is that? Nothing wrong with the team Poole have built this year and the way they have gone about things so far. No issue with Poole winning the league if done properly and i will congratulate Chris4gillian and Lisa-Collette on the success. I wont lie and yes i hope Belle Vue win it. I wont give the Poole and speedway fans any stick as they dont deserve it , but if it happens i will take great pleasure in getting on here and giving you and only you such a torrent of stick i doubt you will show your face

Absolutely their side of the story and they are quite clearly in the know. (well not so much my uncle) Im happy to name names and i have told you what i know, simple really There does seem to be a closed shop in Dorset that if your not a Poole fan or live in the area then you cant possibly know more than a Poole fan. Maybe just once you can actually take what someone says and believe it To be fair im pretty sure the Poole mafia dont believe a word im saying but it is possibly the only area to do with Poole that i know im right about but i will take the inevitable abuse that comes my way from the fans that dont like what they hear

Edinburgh Vs Berwick Fri 8th
Gavan replied to allthegearbutnaeidea's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Fisher is on the downgrade and has been for a while. Mechanically his bikes are awful. He will have the odd good meeting but will usually get 7 or 8 from 5 rides. -
You believe what you want to believe. Please tell us who this 'man in the room' was. I know for a fact that Mark was waiting to hear from Matt Ford to go through negotiating a deal. He never heard back. And i can tell you 100% accurately that Tony was on more money than Mark. My lines of knowledge come from my uncle, who as i say sponsored Mark from the age of 14. This led to us becoming friends with Marks mum Vi and dad Paul, also his grandad (who we called pop and lived in exeter) plus his sister Debbie. Mark came to my aunties funeral in Feb 2000 so she never got to see her 'Marky' win the ultimate prize. My uncle died in 2006 and Mark came to his funeral to. When Mark was at Ipswich we made very good friends with his mechanic Jorge. We still see him to this day and he is still involved in the speedway world. The fact that in 2001 when Mark wanted to stay at Poole i had my uncle, Mark himself and his family and ex mechanic all telling us what was going on. Ive told you my sources believe what you want but Mark left Poole because of Matt Fords desire to have Rickardsson that is a fact. If your sources are correct you will know Mark wanted an extra van as part of his package and more money per point. The fact remains Tony was more expensive then Mark Thank You. Im not trying to be big headed or show off but we do know his family and have known Mark from an early age and followed him everywhere pretty much. Even now my cousin has his race jacket from his first ever British Semi -final up at Sheffield (1986 or 1987??) we was at Arena and Mark was riding and got the call up so we all went up to sheffield. He also has the race jacket (number 3??? i think) from when he won the British Final for the first time in that classic race off with Louis.

Correct and yet averaging 7 from reserve in 2015 he can still ride there again in 2016!!!!! Shows how daft our system is basically
-
When assessing foreign riders it depends on what club Dennis dangerous Andersson was a 5.00 for anyone who wanted him.................but 4.00 if it was Poole
-
If Kyle Newman finishes on an 8 point average we will not see him in the elite league next year as nobody would touch him with a bargepole
-
proper speedway? crap track and one team thrashing another most weeks friendly crowd? erm no Noise? will give you that one Good racing? one week out of 10 aint bad Knowledgeable crowd? have you seen any of Starmans posts?
-
i thank you for posting the Mark Loram story. As some on here know (and some dont believe) we have known the Loram family since Mark was 14 and my uncle sponsored him. I posted on a Poole thread that Mark was treate badly by Matt Ford only to be shot down by the usual suspects claiming Mark asked for more money than Tony which was complete tosh. This article shows quite clearly what sort of man Matt Ford is. Mark Loram is probably one of the nicest guys there has been in the sport and nobody has a bad word to say about him and it takes a lot to anger him. As stated Matt Ford annoyed him and how disgraceful that some Poole fans booed and heckled him as well after the way he rode for them. Try watching the race with Mark, Havvy, Hamill and Hancock at Wimborne Road back when the track was good

Im sure you could find loads more of instances like this. Goes to show really that where their is controversy in the Elite League Poole are at the heart of most of it.................but its just jealousy lol
-
Wow even i didnt realise the list was this long and thats without the Belle Vue farce I think a lot of these reports show the lengths that Ford is prepared to go to to get success. Basically the man is a cheat that is just out for himself. You cant help but think his attitude has rubbed off on some of the fans going by their statements and quite clearly Ford will not be happy until the elite league has just 1 team it, Add on the fact he is the worst loser there is and no wonder he is the most hated promoter ever
-
I'm not getting involved lol. Was a decent thread then along comes paperboy and we have pages of his dross and Lo and behold the jealousy line. I guess on the horse racing thread they are all jealous as well are they lol. You say I abuse you well you call me a clown and told me twice to play with the traffic so o kind of think if you can't take it back don't dish it out. Round of applause for ruining a good thread again arguing with Lisa-Collette who I know I annoy at times but she is a true speedway fan. Now run along
-
and yet again you fail to answer somebody's question and instead go on and on about wonderful Poole and everything revolves around Poole totally failing to get the point you were asked by Mr Chapman. Do yourself and everyone on this forum and just eff off and let the adults chat. I'm sure Mr Chapman will give you a great reply!!
-
you sum it up perfectly total disregard for the sport as a whole. Poole has a harbour and bugger all else so it would be easier to promote the sport there then say Wolves , Leicester and Belle Vue. Poole fans generally brush over every controversy in the sport that affects their club (pretty much all of them) yet have the audacity regarding what Belle Vue did with the leak. Belle Vue were wrong and got punished and their own fans thought it was shocking and condemned their club. Thats the big difference as Poole fans mainly see no wrong shut up spot on again. come on starman answer the man
-
well said but you will get the usual uprising in Dorset ready to burn you in hell for daring to criticise. If you go back over the controversial moments in Elite league history then i would guess the vast majority would include Poole. Cancelling the Lakeside fixture The farce in the rain against Belle Vue Going to Eastbourne and finding out all the Poles couldnt ride through mystery illness or injury thus tracking track specialists as guests, then those riders suddenly fine to ride the day after. Darcy Ward staying down to get a re-run in a live sky match last heat (cant remember the opposition) and the fans then having the audacity a week later to accuse Kildemand of the same and saying Wards was different. Im sure there are more. Then you get the head in the sand fans who say its jealousy lol. No its not people just want fairness, last year Poole won fair and square no issues. The club at times is just to precious which stems from the management through to the fans. Middlo has shown he is a bit of a buffoon on social media getitng involved in arguments when he doesnt like what is aimed at him. You then get that going through to some , not all, supporters on here, who then just resort to abuse or not having the ability to debate. The Kyle Newman thread is a point in question. Myself and a couple of Poole fans disagree (chris4gillian , lisa-collete) for example but at least those guys and a few others dont resort to petty pathetic arguments.
-
Not Matt Fords biggest fan not by a long chalk. He is good for Poole speedway but yet this article still quite clearly shows he has no idea what some of his actions have done to the sport and unfortunatly some of the blind sheep on here follow his every word. One day there will be no elite league and some think thats fine as long as Poole at the top it doesnt matter about our sport. As ive always said good for Poole but not good for the sport

Edinburgh Vs Berwick Fri 8th
Gavan replied to allthegearbutnaeidea's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Read the thread then before commenting. Ive explained how shocking Ipswich look this season. Thats what true fans do they look at the big picture. Unlike a number of Monarchs fans who seem to be happy to have a moan at anyone who dares to criticise their side -
Sorry mate he just annoys the hell out of me cant believe someone can be so thick. I asked him a question, but as always when he cant answer he resorts to abuse
-
Ive already said you moron that i prefer the old way try reading the thread!! Now come on which is it as im still waiting. You said the new system is better as they are improving. You had no idea what the old system was (may have been in the days when Poole werent any good so you probably didnt go) When told what it was you said that FTR riders should meet heat leaders. So come on and tell us why the new reserve system is better than one where they meet heat leaders???? Im sure it will just be your abuse because your one brain cell doesnt have the ability to answer and when you have been caught out (as Orion also points out) you just get abusive
-
Answer the question then You think the new way is better yet you think FTR riders should meet heat leaders more. So come on then Einstein which is it??? Come on petal try and debate. Answer what you have been asked or will you keep abusing when backed into a corner like always. What a weasel of a human being
