so what is a life changing hand injury? Losing fingers? Losing the hand? ok so we know it was a bad injury but if the stories are true that is was a serious hand injury is that seriously enough to stop Dakota North from going out to ride his speedway bike on the Monday night 72 hours after he heard the news?? I know in my job i would be allowed to visit my relative in such a situation but would i be allowed time off for a week compassionate leave? Not a cat in hells chance The more information we hear the worse that keeps getting for Poole speedway.
-
i hope its wrong as otherwise the words of every Poole fan on here can be taken back because if it is only a hand injury then Poole have cheated, because from the Friday to the Monday would have been plenty of time for North to be told the seriousness of the injury. My mum is fine now thank you for asking, i was using it to highlight my point
-
Its gone very very quiet from the Poole fans since (allegedly) it appears North snr has sustained only a hand injury (all be it quite nasty) My mum fell over in her garden back in April and suffered a punctured lung and a cracked rib. I left work straightaway to go see her but dont remember having to have a week off work to deal with it.

I remember being at Lakeside or Arena as it was when an announcement came over the tannoy for Mark Loram to report to the pits. It basically was to be told he was now called into the meeting to replace someone. We used to sponsor Mark back then and he gave my auntie the race jacket at Sheffield and then when he won his first British Final in 1997 he gave her the jacket from that day as well. This just shows the decline in top British Riders and those 2 semi finals look better than any final now!

In answer to the 4 points you bring up. 1. Not worried who told him stay its irrelevent. 2. Ok so his dad may have been on his mind, if that was the case he should have told the club rather than ride and risk others. He was pulled out of his last ride by a rider in better form in Newman. 3. Medical certificates are not issued for compassionate leave.......stress yes. 4. I have no issue with him playing golf. On the morning of my dads funeral i played a few frames of snooker. I do not believe Matt Ford maniupulated the situation. What i do believe is that it became an easy way to replace an out of form rider with a better rider. The issue is that if he was granted compassionate leave Poole would not have got a guest so a medical note pops up which means guest can be used. Do you think (and still not one Poole fan has answered this) that if it was Janowskis relative that Ford would have let him not ride? I believe Magic would have been persuaded to. It just so happens the rider it happened to wasnt in form. There are some scenarios coming up to the final. Dakotas dad (and yes we hope he gets better) has had a bad injury but isnt life threatening so basically North is over the initial 'shock' of what happened. So it seems that there is no immediate need for North to fly home This means that he now should ride in the final, there isnt really a reason for him not to. He goes well at Belle Vue so if he rides there and then all of a sudden isnt in 'the right frame of mind' to do the second leg then that is blatant cheating. Do you agree? I have no issue if North is replaced in BOTH legs and Gomolski rides at Belle Vue. I feel i have sent a reasoned response so please keep Starman on his leash!

ok please take the time to read what people post about you on every thread not just the Poole ones, it may enlighten you. Your own fans think your a wally as well but you obviously quite enjoy the limelight. all ive done is praise Poole this season up until this latest episode. Take a look back over the thread and see when ive slagged off Poole because i havent. Take a look at the Coventry v Poole thread from earlier in the season when i said the blame laid solely with Coventry and said it had nothing to do with Poole! You are not a troll your simply just short of intellect.

I and many others have never disputed that his father was badly hurt. As i said the issue was wether North could of and should of still rode. The accident to his dad was a very covenient way for Matt Ford to remove a struggling rider and replace him with a better one. As ive also said (but not one Poole fan has answered) if it was Janowski in this situation i bet Ford would have made him ride. What we all know quite clearly is that Dakotas dad has had a life changing accident. This means that there is no reason whatsoever for North not to ride in both legs of the final as hid dads situation is now going to have improved.
-
to be fair lisa i have no issue with you at all. you are passionate about your club and more often than not you can see both sides. the only person i ever call names to is Starman as the guy is quite clearly not on the same planet as the rest of us. He dishes out the name calling far more than anyone else and yet ran to the mods to get me a ban because i called him a numpty!

Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
Gavan replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
i would be stunned if any neutrals want Poole to win. That said some Swindon fans are converting to Poole because of the Ward situation and i can understand that. Lets just hope the Poole 1-7 is the real 1-7 i.e North rides and then there can be no arguments -
spot on. Not doubting the accident but I'm pretty sure it was an easy decision for Ford to convince North not to ride and get in someone in better form. As I've said if it was Janowski in the same situation I bet he would have rode
-
I 100% believe Norths dad was involved in a fairly serious accurrent and I'm bemused why people think otherwise. However do I believe it was serious enough for North not to ride? No. If it was serious enough he would have gone home. Matt Ford was able to manipulate the situation to his advantage and replace North. As I say if it was Janowski he would have rode

Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
Gavan replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
if that's the Poole 1-7 on Monday then I will be surprised but for the credibility of the sport it has to be(barring injuries) -
ive said all along that if it was Janowski he would have ridden but not one Poole fan has commented. Nobody is saying that Dakotas dad isn't I'll but it didn't half help Matt Ford in finding a loophole to make him miss the meeting. Monday will be interesting as North flies around Belle Vue and unless he has gone home he has to ride. Gomolski hates Belle Vue so it will be interesting if he shows up. I really hope the real Poole 1-7 turns up but I'm sure if Dakotas head isn't right that Matt Ford will not carry 2 passengers and Kennett will ride. If North rides at Belle Vue them doesn't at home then that is quite clearly cheating
-
It's so black and white the situation yet the blue tints just can't accept it. People are sick and tired of time after time year upon year of the same old issues. At some point during a season Matt Ford will pull a stunt that the true speedway fan doesn't like. When these stunts are brought to the attention of a majority of Poole fans they literally cannot handle any form of debate and resort to abusing the rest of us. I say it again if Janowski was in the same situation as North you can bet he would have been persuaded to ride, it just happens that North is woeful at the moment. When you have old man Muddlo coming on tv and saying 'we will see' when asked if using Kennett again it just adds fuel to the fire. His answer should have been simply 'no' as Dakotas dad isn't as serious as first thought. The problem is that Poole fans on here have a larger proportion of prats than most clubs. Starman is quite clearly the clown of the whole forum. I have no issue with foreverblue chris4gillian and all Red Panda and Skidder are is just passionate for their clubs. So Poole fans please for once open your eyes and see what the rest of the speedway world sees. Let's just hope that Gomolski isn't missing at Belle Vue as I'm sure this forum will be closed down!
-
This could happen in the final. North flies around Belle Vue and Gomolski hates the place. Let's hope Poole track their original 1-7 and if North rides at Belle Vue then he has to ride the home leg

Posf2 - Swindon Robins Vs Belle Vue Aces 21 September 2015
Gavan replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Multi alias people are so easy to spot. They appear on each thread and keep answering themselves! I get a lot of criticism on here but I'm not a fool that has 2 or 3 accounts. KKS is the obvious one not sure about Rob Vds -
I will cheer an engine failure quite happily. After seeing the death of Paul Muchene live, i will never cheer any rider who comes off even the ones that are simply just a slide into the fence. i fully believe Norths dad isnt very well i fully believe that it may affect North Do i believe it is enough for him to miss last nights match? No
-
Well i must be in a minority then as ive never cheered when a rider has fallen off irrelevent of how innocous it looks. Even simple falls can cause horrifc injuries. Havvy broke his back sliding off, i saw Paul Muchene at Hackney slide off but he had Nick Floyd right behind him. So are we supposed to only cheer a certain type of fall? Im confused. If Harris had have clipped Kennets back wheel and cartwheeled into the fence would the Poole fans still have cheered. Did the opposition fans cheer when Darcy, Rico , Stead, Hare and Jonsson cheer when they crashed? Sorry but to cheer like the Poole fans did IMMEDIATLY as Harris went down is wrong. Who was to say that he didnt hurt his back or bang his head somehow as he fell? Im sure fans of other clubs do it and its wrong.
-
lol bless you getting all angry because someone dares to question. you are the forum clown as pointed out by many and you are roundly mocked even by your own fans so to be fair anything you say is quite irrelevent and its people like you on here that give your real fans a bad name. As ive said try find where ive slaged off Poole this season please? Up until this rule bending all ive done is praise Poole and their riders, even absolving them of any blame for the fiasco at Coventry. So i suggest you keep it quiet little man

Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
Gavan replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Poole have quite clearly been the best team this season nobody is disputing that. Recent events and the rule bending yet again mean if they do go on and win it will be a very hollow victory and not for the first time. Lets hope North rides in both legs and so to does Gomolski then the best team will win. North flies round Belle Vue and Gomolski hates it. Surely even Poole wouldnt replace Kasper in the first leg (with North riding) and then replace North in the second leg (with Kasper riding) -
tru and im sorry and apologise. To be fair yourself , foreverblue , skidder , lisa colette seem decent speedway fans, but im sorry you do have a fair share of morons on here. watch the tape. the poole fans cheer even before Harris makes contact with the fence. You think a majority would know better.
-
i saw that as well. Even the Poole track staff lower themselves as well it seems.
-
Coventry fans are a credit to their club unlike some lol another one getting all het up. I've only come on the threaf since the news broke of Pooles underhand tactics to replace North so if you are going to moan at least get your facts straight. Also Ive praised Poole all season but you have conveniently ignored that. If your happy that a huge proportion of your crowd kept cheering every time a rider fell then so be it. Poole were always going to beat an injury hit Coventry so why resort to cheating again. You wonder why Poole are disliked. It's your cheating win at all costs promoter and idiotic fans who cheer crashes
-
So the cheats make it to the final and their idiot fans cheer when riders fall off only down Dorset way. For the good of the sport lets hope Belle Vue destroy them in the final so the league has some credibilty. What a bunch of halfwits who have seem to forgotten what happened to Darcy. Then again maybe the brain cell was being shared around
