  1. 3 are already done and dusted, Hampel Lindback, Kildemand (unless he squeezes in) The other will more than likely be MJJ Im not worried about having 4 poles as they will add to the excitement but only Hampel at the moment would be any threat for the title those saying Lindback shouldnt be in have short memories. THJ got in last year by being Swedish Champion.
  2. It did this weekend i agree but it was only Hancocks second final of the season so hardly a dominating top 2
  3. We have a very strong top 2 and they need to be kept. To lose King or Nico would be a travesty. I would go down the Edinburgh/Glasgow route, have 3 top heat leaders like Cook/Masters/Wolbert Morris/Lawson/Summers Who that 3rd rider is i dont know. Then we need a strong back up like Edinburgh have in Sedgeman, personally we could have Richie Worrall is he lower than 7? Then maybe Ellis and definatly Morris
  4. sorry you talk absolute tosh. he didnt turn his back on British Speedway he did what was right for his career to become world champion and it looks like its paying off. seem to remember Holder opting out last season but that was ok was it? You look for any angle to have a pop at Tai. Not British, Bikes are to fast, get over yourself pal
  5. Have you actually read what i wrote? A link through someone i sat next to lol My uncle sponsored Mark for 3 or so years and because of that we became friendly with Mark and the people around him (family, friends, mechanics) Unless you are a member of someones family then how do you get to know someone?? Surely its by either being introduced to them or being in the same environment?
  6. Dont confuse me with a Poole fan lol I get the play offs its there for excitement and a money spinner. I still believe the best team this season is Poole irrelevent of the play off results.
  7. i have never been a mechanic in my life. we used to go to Hackney from 85 onwards and stand by the pit wall in the main stand. When Mark was a young lad my uncle who ran a coach company, used to give him the odd £50 over the wall. Marks dad, Paul was often with him and my family got chatting to him and then Marks mum used to sit with us along occasionally with Marks sister. We followed Mark from club to club until he went to Exeter and Wolves which was to far for us to travel every week. Mark got a call up to a British Semi Final at Sheffield one yera and he gave my aunty his race jacket. When he won his first British Final he also then gave her his race jacket from that. Sadly My aunty died in Feb 2000 and Mark came to her funeral, so she never saw him become World Champion. I never spannered for Mark and didnt say i had. Can i prove i know the Loram family? Not really without a link to my facebook lol. Come on Robert we need to at least know your surname so we can see arent simply looking for effect.
  8. I dont think it would have mattered to much (with the exception of Nicki) who was in front of Tai as he wasnt going to risk a win when he had a safe second place and quite clearly the guy in front was just as fast. What a load of old rubbish the idiots talking bot a fix, what pathetic drivel from the Tai and Hancock haters. What if Tai (god forbid) gets injured and loses the series by a point from Hancock? Of course he is going to race for every point! He could have settled for a safe second in the semi but he didnt he went for the win. Try watching the final. On a track that had just been watered Tai busted a gut for the first 2 laps but Hancock was smooth and fast out front and Tai no doubt realised it was a to big a risk to go for it but made sure he didnt lose second. Sensible riding and i can guarantee you if it was Zagar, Iversen or anyone else in front that fast Tai would have rode the same race
  9. i know mate, sorry you are one of the TRUE speedway fans who support Poole and not some of the unfortunate ones on here like Starman. As ive said top of the league should be champions so Poole are in my eyes the leagues best team just like Birmingham were a couple of seasons ago and Poole were when Coventry nicked it. Dont like the fact that a team with 'momentum' or one that has been able to make big changes is able to come up and steal the league over a team who have proved over 28 matches from March to September that they were the best.
  10. oh i see. yes im such a liar that i wasnt with Marks south african mechanic on Saturday night or that my uncle used to sponsor him , or that Mark came to my aunties funeral in Feb 2000. Before doubting ask questions
  11. Wow 3 pages of pretty much total drivel. Rosco spits his dummy out. And now on Twitter has publicly apologised to Zagar. And some Swindon fans think Belle Vue are the ones in the wrong! Love all the Poole fans hoping for a Swindon win as now the clubs are united because of the tragic circumstances to Darcy. I know what has happened is obviously awful but the love in is quite sickly. Starman has always slagged Rosco off in the past now he defends him! Swindon have pulled stunts all season long and Rosco is fast becoming the new Muddlo with his daft statements. Lets hope for a Belle Vue v Coventry final, least then the forum will actaully be filled with normal comments from the 2 biggest current clubs in the sport No he has turned the people that felt sorry for Swindon re Darcy into Belle Vue fans
  12. well then you surely must know about set ups then!! Do you not realsie that on some tracks you need to kill the power otherwise you simply just rodeo around. For someone that says he was a mechanic you seem to have a very limited knowledge of why bikes go fast. Try watching the meeting and quite clearly you can see Tai does not have the right set up until his third race. So for you to say there must be something going on with his engines makes me wonder why 2 world champions employed you?? your hate campaign against Woffinden just keeps going on plus the fact you are regularly singled out on other threads as nothing more than an irritant kind of show what sort of person you are. When did you race against Loram? because as an ex rider and mechanic you have limited knowledge Intrigued to know how you raced against Mark
  13. As it happens buddy i was watching the gp saturday night with an ex mechanic of Mark Lorams who to put it mildly knows more about equipments and engines than you could even dream of. He told me lots of things regarding engines because we was discussing Tai's speed and Gregs as well. Quite simply the best riders, the most loyal riders are the ones wjho get the time and dedication by their tuners. He actually cited Paul Hurry who back in the day would flip from tuner to tuner including Peter Johns and then moan that he never recieved the best stuff. Well if your not loyal you wont. Chris Harris is a prime example today. Is he going to get the best Gerhard engines when he changes his mind meeting to meeting? Tai knows what he wants from his engines, he also only uses Peter Johns, might explain why Johns builds Tai these better engines as he knows his client is solely using his stuff. Why would he spend time with another rider who may or may not use his equipment? Instead of trying to find a way to continue keep slagging off Tai is rather boring pal. You do it on every thread. Tai is fast because he has good engines.................oh and he does have some serious ability.......................back the brits
  14. no they don't as he was quite easily beaten by Hancock twice and in the last gp as well. All you do is troll
  15. straightfoward to me. They have points to use and can even fit Tai in. Couldn't use Hancock but they could use Lindback. Hope that clears it up
  16. think you need to have a quick look at the points Coventry have to play with before you jump in to a conversation
  17. yes there is no point going to Melbourne if the title is already won. I mean it might be an opportunity for Zagar to get on to a world championship rostrum for the first time and it for riders like Doyle MJJ and Janowski to finish top 8 for the first time and move forward for next season. Think you need to read what you actually wrote buddy
  18. you have a serious chip on your shoulder. Im by no means Cooks biggest fan but you are talking a load of old bull. Of course the top riders make mistakes in finals. One of the greatest riders of all time Hans Neilsen mad a huge error in the first turn of the very first gp in Poland. Cook messed up the final its that simple. How many times have we seen riders storm their heats and mess up in finals.
  19. Im not a fan of Cook the person nor of some of his clubs fans but this thread is pointless. Cook (Stead apart) is the best in the premier his riding ability isnt under question. He made a mistake in the final thats racing
  20. Despite not being a fan of the majority of Monarchs fans due to their inability to debate and be smug this is possibly the most pointless thread of all ive ever seen on here. 2 friends of mine went from Ipswich and they agreed that Cook was by far the fastest rider on show but simply firstly picked the wrong gate then rode a very poor first bend. He was the best rider there and the only saving grace is that because he didn't win we don't get pages of smugness!
  21. Well done Ulrich. Seems Cook decided to try and race one rider rather than concentrate on just riding his own race and blew it! Still will keep the Monarchs fans quiet! Seem to remember in the first ever gp final in 1995 a certain Hans Nielsen doing the same thing and running Louis and Loram wide that he forgot about Gollob!
  22. Spot on How many Poole fans would be up in arms if Janowski rode in the Polish league top tier individual rather than a play off match for Poole? Some fans really dont understand how it all works! This shows you dont understand how contracts work as Danny is contracted to race firstly for Coventry and Ipswich in league meetings. The PLRC is not a league fixture, he is under contract in Poland he HAS to ride or risk a fine. He does. Never missed a league meeting this season due to Polish commitments. The PLRC is not a club meeting its an individual Well said mate. Im sure a lot of fans dont understand he is contracted Again it illustrates my point. Thank You to all the real fans who understand why he isnt riding. People bang on about the meeting is farcical now. Well back in the 90's no riders were riding in Poland earning good money so the comparison to harp back to the old days is irrelevent If Mark Loram, Andrew Silver, Paul Thorp and Troy Butler had the opportunity to race in Poland back in the day they would have been good enough. And if thr were contracted to a club they would not have ridden in the NLRC as it was then. Times have changed. We bang on about Brits riding abroad to better themselves then moan when they have to miss a meeting. Cant have it both ways. With regards to the meeting would love to see Kurtz win it and hope Rohan doesnt come last!
  23. Its about time finally that Rohan was let go added to the fact Gino will be unlikely to get a place then thats 2 riders gone with arounfd 13 points to play with? King and Covatti must spearhead the team next season. I have no issue with keeping a fit and healthy Heeps as he seems to miss to much with injuries. The 2 boys at reserve are ok Stefan and Ash, however i think you need a situation where you have a reserve who can go to number 2 and vice versa. Neither of our reserves are good enough to put pressure on Cam, and if somehow e could get in someone who could do that then next season looks a good one
