It was good to see him ride with his head at Cardiff for a change as usually he would be winding it all on hitting ruts and coming down. Getting out of the second bend in front is 95% of a speedway race and both Greg and Tai do that more than anyone hence they are pulling clear in the championship. Oh and did you not see Greg go past Darcy a couple of gp's ago? He can pass when the track allows. As for Cook he will never get to this level

Well done Greg! All the Hancock moaners that he is boring really don't know there sport the man is a legend. Tai done us proud again. What was also good to see was Darcy using his head more as the track rutted up. If he keeps doing that he could become a challenger but he needs Tai and Greg to have bad ones. How much experiance have Kerr and Blackbird had at pl not much! Garrity isnt going to get much better and i doubt Blackbird will at his age. Lets put the Rookies in and see them half a lap behind!! By all means have the likes of Lambert and Kerr around the pits but they should not be in our top 4 by a long chalk. I will be stunned if Garrity or Blackbird ever make a team gb top 4 riders.

Tai, Harris and Cook are 3 certaintys to start with by some way in my opinion King and Barker are the next 2. I then think Stead is fully deserving of being next in line on form this season. Bridger would then possibly be next. That leaves 3 spaces. Kerr deserves to be in there. Then for the last 2 i would have had Lambert and Garrity. It shows how bleak the future is when we have 3 fast track riders in Kerr, Blackbird and Garrity fighting out for a place in the top 10 brits. The problems of British speedway run very deep. I remember British Finals in the 90's where if a National League rider got there they were either a supreme young talent. (Loram and Louis spring to mind) or simply having a good semi final (Martin Goodwin for example) Now we are talking about a GB squad where we have to go to riders like Garrity ( premier league reserve earlier in the season) and Blackbird (not even a heat leader in the premier and not the future either) to make a squad up! Its a poor state of affairs

we are not talking bout the past we are discussing now and MJJ has not gone on from that win. He had falling down the pecking order bit like Janowski. 2 years ago both were on the verge of gp wild cards now they have dropped back behind riders like Kildemand the 2 pawlickis and Dudek to name 4. By your reckoning Harris deserves a place as he has been national champion and won a Grand Prix. Right now forget what he has won riders have improved past MJJ

The forum now is a much better place. A certain individual has hung up his boots on here and now the threads he used to post on are actually readable and credible again. People used to say i was anti-poole and only posted on poole threads. Now that the one person has left look how many times im on there? hardly any because it now has genuine fans not wind up merchants. Would be good if the mods actually banned the antagonisers and especially the multi aliased one JepsenJensen whatever it is now yet they go unpunished but if you use the word numpty or idiot you are banned! other than that the forum is now all the better than it used to be

For those people who say Ward hasnt got a semi final phobia the stats are: 2013: 9 GP'S - 8 Semi-Finals - 2 Finals 2014: 6 GP'S - 3 Semi-Finals - 1 Final In 15 GP's Darcy has had 11 Semi Finals yet only reached 3 finals - 27% strike rate. Compere that with Tai 2013: 12 GP'S - 10 Semi-Finals - 6 Finals 2014: 6 GP'S - 4 Semi -Finals - 3 Finals In 18 GP's Tai has had 14 Semi Finals and reached 9 Finals. - 65% strike rate They both reached on average the same number of semi finals yet Tai converts into finals hence why he is World Champion. Until Darcy handles the pressure better then he may never get to be champion.

I agree with what you say about Ward needing a wise head. Unforunatly the way the gp system is he hasnt learnt to ride with his head yet. Got passed in his last ride rather than settle for the point. And yet again he bombed out in the semi finals not sure wether its the pressure or not but he does have trouble getting further. His gating and inability to get out of the semis will in my view stop him from being world champion. As for lack of passing i thought the racing was ok. Wards pass on Lindgren was sublime. Tai passed people and so did Batchelor. Ina gp series you are going to encounter hard tracks to pass on. Ward needs to learn how to ride all types of tracks. Its no coincedence that Tai and Iversen are in the top 3 again and Hancock as well. These guys do it on all size tracks. Just because Ward is the most excitig rider in the world it doesnt make him the best rider in the world

Dear me some people. Its pretty darn obvious the top 3 will be Tai, Harris and Cook. Those saying Harris shouldnt be there are seriously deluded. After that its one from King or Barker. Everyone else (bar Nicholls) isnt good enough

sorry but you must have been watching a totally different race to everybody else. Pedersen dive bombed him plain and simple. Other riders tried it throughout the night but realised when to shut off. Nicki just ploughed into him. Your defence is laughable. Pedersen had no regard for the rider he knocked off and as everyone is saying is just a coward. If Nicki wasnt guilty then why did he eventually apologise? Quite correct in saying Zagar shouldnt have reacted but he hardly swung a punch. Were you happy when Boycey decked Gollob? Most fans were. You have no arguement edersen was blatantly at fault.....move on

apart from the semi final when 2 riders went past Darcy he definatly lacks concentration dont think its bottle. He literally was asleep when Nicki went passed him. for once he gated well and if he continues like that he will be there or thereabouts. Just needs to learn from Tai on how to close out meetings and make finals not just semis
