No i wont give it a rest as far as he is concerned the man is a complete troll .........the good news is that he is getting it from all sides on the Wolves thread Ive no idea what Ipswich pay for rent and how much we get through sponsorship so i cant answer. All i know is that if we had had all the success Poole have had and all the tv money then if our main sponsor left id want to know where all that income had gone
-
Your a glory hunter Team is winning and you can come on here an be all high and mighty......Poole get knocked out by the leagues weakest team and you throw your dummy out. So what if you go every week!!!! I hope the Poole promotion read your crap and are glad that if they do drop down you wont go............. And your not a fan of lower league racing ...............wobblers!!........well i hate to tell you this......Ipswich had 6 riders who ride in the lower league and those wobblers smashed your team in the second leg because you had prima donnas like Kurtz and Holder being shown up............................so glad we had wobblers rather than Aussie tarts Poole have 4 riders who ride top league only.....Ipswich 1....Swindon 3 and Wolves 2.........perhaps you need to sign a few more of those lower league wobblers ...you might actually win something!!
-
Call yourself a fan...your a joke of a supporter.....only interested when your team is winning....pathetic
-
The rain did make the meeting a bit of a leveller but in my opinion it was the expected result from my point of view In July Swindon lost by 6 at Wolves........and had Bellego and Ayres riding and no Musilek In April they lost by 2 at Wolves and had Lampart , Zach and Shanes riding So yes i firmly believed that Swindon could and would win last night Its funny when the Poole fans moan about bad weather.......seem to remember they were happy when they got to heat 10 against Belle Vue one year
-
But we beat the title favourites........who had a lack of bottle to ride in the wet and then couldnt handle the pressure in the away leg.............you had already won twice at Foxhall but when the pressure was on your manager couldnt motivate them and Ipswich wanted it more...............you even said you wanted to ride us every week lol How do you know how the first leg would have gone? In those early heats Poole riders couldnt make a gate for toffee...........so if it was dry we could still have had a good lead Poole bottled it big time............they won at Foxhall twice earlier in the season....and once with a weak team as Shovlar was very happy to point out many times........they go to Foxhall witrh a big lead and choked choked choked...... He already rides in Poland................you need to get facts before posting
-
Poole would be mad not to get Harris back on that average , he rides like a heat leader at Poole I still think that i would rather face Wolves in the final than Swindon based on our matches against both.......we got obliterated at Swindon last time which is a lot to turn around But Poole had won at ours twice and one of those with a very weak team yet come the play offs our riders had the right attitude and some of the Poole boys didnt
-
Yes our business model hasnt worked at all At least if you want to reply to my post come back with a decent response We should be fine , we have some play off final gate money and 2 tv meetings to come this season. But if we are a small club always nice to knock the big clubs out ..............all about the attitude of the riders i guess
-
Yes i get that But year after year Poole raked in the money with big crowds, great sponsorship and tv money , and lets face it because of their success Poole were on tv more than most. So surely now times are hard they more than any other club should have some financial money in the coffers to use in times like this. Or simply at the end of each season did Pooles balance sheet show a zero.....i.e whatever money they bought in went straight back out again. If a club as big as Poole are struggling losing a main sponsor then imagine what would happen at a smaller club.

He had his chance to qualify and didnt make it. I know there isnt an easy answer but the GP challenge is a one off meeting where a top rider can have one bad ride or engine failure. It could also be on a track that riders dont like and others do....lets face it this season we were close to having Aspgren and Pavlic in the gp's....and people moan about Lindback I remember back in 1999 Mark Loram had an amazing gp season as a reserve and almost got a rostrum after missing a round............he went to the gp challenge on the ultra slick Lonigo circuit at a time where the format was 2 rides in 3rd and 4th and you were out. Mark was in an elimination race and for 2 and a half laps was stuck in 3rd (behind Stoney and Jacek Gollob i believe), before finding a way past and staying in.............he made it by the skin of his teeth into the 2000 GP series......taking 7 rides to qualify..............and as i recall he didnt do to bad that following season! Funnily enough the 2000 one and two came from the previous seasons challenge!

POOLE V KINGS LYNN, SUPPORTERS CUP, Weds9.10.19
Gavan replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Kerr has no meetings left and Hans has one meaningless one for Peterborough so understandable they would want to ride And yes Harris rides Poole better than most and likes the place -
It isnt, it is up to him what he does with his money. He obviously isnt all about Poole speedway as we have been told time and time again. Matt Ford looks after Matt Ford and he wont care how he leaves Poole speedway
-
He possibly wont but id like him to come back. Thiugh that said we have coped without a number one all season and seen certain riders at certain times bang in double figures to win us matches. King , Harris and Lawson all seem to take turns to have a good one

The same illness all the Poole polish riders had at Eastbourne a few years back which enabled Poole to use track specialists....... Why would away riders bother to ride in this , it means nothing and they risk injury, Cook has important matches coming up for Glasgow so no point bouncing around on Pooles track and risk a problem. Im not overly impressed that Harris has taken the booking lol -
We have been told time and time again that Poole speedway has been the best business model in the sport. Poole had the best sponsors and the biggest crowds and raking the money in.. Questions need to be asked what Ford has done with it all................ Avarice is a word that springs to mind........ I used to think Ford was good for Poole but bad for the sport...............seems he has not exactly been good for Poole either.
-
Would love us to keep Niels next season Start off with Iversen Heeps King Allen I think Riss would be a good shout as he does love our track but i cant see him leaving Lynn Jordan Stewart or Broc Nicol would be worth a gamble as well We could end up with Lawson again which wouldnt be awful but i think Harris will go Wouldnt mind seeing Nicholls back (apart from away trips to the bigger tracks)
-
As i said check Lindbacks record this season it isnt that bad 5 semi finals in 9 gp's Granted he isnt likely to challenge the rostrum but then again would the riders people have put up to replace him do that Im all for young blood but not if they arent going to be any better than the rider they are replacing
-
Seems like in the pursuit of glory Matt Ford has run Poole into the ground. Seeking success and paying wages and demands of the top riders has left Poole in a financial mess Reminds me of Peter Ridsdale the Leeds football chairman, who literally destroyed the club trying to win trophies Poole speedway get the biggest crowds so we are told.................so what has Ford done with all the money? Not how a club should be run Glad you all enjoyed the trophy winning years.......but at what price
-
Having a closer look at Lindbacks record this season it isnt that bad 9 GP's 5 semi finals......unable to make a final..........and only missed another semi final on countback on 8 points........2 poor gp's in Slovenia and Czech Laguta only made 3 semi finals Iversen made 4 semis but converted that into 3 finals Zagar made 4 semis and converted 2 into finals Could any other newcomer have the level of consistency that Lindback has shown? Granted Lindback is unlikely to threaten the top 6 but would any of Drabik, Smektala or Lambert do so or even Michelsen? As i said someone has to come 12th or 13th
-
I cant take you seriously if you dont think Hancock deserves a wildcard 99% of people on here agree with the first 3 its only Lindback people questioning Im not Hancocks biggest fan but he 100% deserves a wildcard
-
I cant believe the things that some people say on here About how boring next years series will be People wanting the likes of Drabik, Smektala and Lambert because they are young and will 'add something'. What will they add apart from in all liklihood being the bottom 3 in the series ALL riders have a chance to qualify..............the likes of Zagar and Iversen proving they are the better riders than the supposed young riders. Michelsen is a possibility but he had hos chance and got 5 in the challenge..........and in Vojens he hardly pulled up any trees scored 6....3 points less than Lindback Wouldnt have worried me if it was MIchelsen or Lindback........... Someone has to come 12th and 13th and if those riders who are 12th and 13th are better than the 'young guns' then they need to be in. Nobody can turn round and say that next season we dont have the worlds best 15 riders.
-
Klindt could well move to Foxhall.........bit like football where a player shows form for a smaller club before moving on to a bigger club
-
I think Ipswich done very well to make the play offs when Harris was number one for the vast majority of the season.........shows how well the team was built in my opinion Harris rides Poole well so on a low average it makes sense. And no thanks to two flaky aussies from Poole................
-
I wasnt having a pop at Batchelor wasnt meant to read that way. What i was trying to show is that in say the last 10 years Holder and Ward have been the top two aussies closely followed by Doyle..................in my opinion Batchelor is the next level below those riders and i was trying to say that Kurtz and Holder havent reached Batchelors level let alone the other boys. Bit like back in the late 90's , i always thought of Crump and Adams and Sullivan as a level above say a Jason Lyons who like Batchelor was a darn good rider........hope i make sense lol
-
Unfortunately its the attitude of a lot of young riders who simply believe they are better than they are and simply have no idea how to adapt to track conditions They couldnt handle it at Poole early on and they certainly couldnt adapt to Foxhall and Holders actions were disgraceful...................still im suprised the amazing old man Muddlo couldnt motivate them They both seem to believe thay are the next Chris Holder or Darcy Ward.......at the moment they arent even the next Troy Batchelor................and Max Fricke has left them miles behind
