  1. And Ipswich fans know me do they lol In the early 80's i went Rye House every Sunday....riders like Garrard , Cox and Naylor We then started going Hackney on a Friday and Arena on a Saturday....and yes at that time we never went to Ipswich We then started going Ipswich in 1989 when Mark Loram joined and from then on we went every Thursday night every week up until 2001 and i mean every Thursday night I then had a life involving work and family and probably only go 5 or 6 times a season now. I got divorced and i have my children most Thursdays and Fridays hence i now hardly go at all. The only match ive been to this season is the bank holiday against Kings Lynn..but as it happens im going this Thursday as my children are abroad on holiday. So am i an Ipswich fan... yes....am i a die hard supporter ...no
  2. Sorry...........i guess we are all wrong and you and one or two others are correct...............i bow to your superior knowledge
  3. I guess mine and the vast majority on here have a different idea of a headbutt to you then Shoulder barge someone and your head goes with you.....with a headbutt your shoulders hardly move I cant stand Craig Cook....petulant , whiny brat as proved at Foxhall many times.........but he didnt headbutt the marshall.......he is banned for swinging punches after
  4. How old are you? Is it an excuse then to say we were outgated and out rode and riders were out of form? Poole lost at home to Kings Lynn.........Jack Holder scored 3........(out of form) Poole lost at home to Swindon..........Jack Holder scored 6.....Josh G 4.....(out of form) Poole lost at home to Peterborough.....Ellis only scored 3 replacing Klindt....R/R for Kurtz got only 7.... So those 3 matches Poole lost because riders were either out of form or the replacements were poor...or are Peterborough a better side than Poole? We lost at home to Poole because 3 riders who have been in form earlier in the season , Lawson, Heeps and Allen , only got 12 between them. Poole out gated us and rode better..........not an excuse fact Doesnt mean that we cant beat them next time we face them I didnt do a vanishing act, i was banned for using the word pillock and then had a nice holiday.........if you had a life you might enjoy one one day
  5. Yes....over 4 matches the scores are dead level ........i reckon Poole are so much better I would say Middlo is a better manager than Hawkins but thats not difficult
  6. Oh dear you are some sort of strange creature They outgated us, they led into every first bend.... they rode better then us on the night. And yes we do have riders out of form or are Lawson and KP scoring what they did earlier in the season. King on the other hand is coming back to form after being poor early on Riders do have peaks and troughs through a season......if you want to look at Poole as an example, Jack Holder was poor at the start of the season but riding well now And yes they had Kurtz and Klindt missing in the earlier match but we also lost Allen (unbeaten at the time to injury). We won fair and square by 14 same as Poole did at our place last time. We lost by 6 there last time in the league when we had Lawson and Heeps scoring only 4 between them. Can you explain why teams lose matches then please...............
  7. Are you for real? Whilst not condoning any of Cooks actions that is not a headbutt...watch Dugard on Vissing.............you are in a small minority who actually think thats a headbutt
  8. Yes they had a good win over us at our place when they outgated us and we had riders off form..........we also beat Poole easily earlier in the season by 14 and at Wimborne Road we only lost by 6 and 2 so far..............we have riders out of form right now.....KP, Harris, and to a lesser extent Lawson and Allen...get them going again and over 2 legs i wouldnt be overly worried about facing Poole............it would be nice to see Worrall back as i think R/R especially at home benefits Poole Sorry yes must remember at the start of a season to tip Poole every year I tipped Swindon right at the start....said they were two riders way from being a title winning side...........Jensen for Lampart bolstered them hugely and although they havent got the reserves sorts 100% they are my tips.........form the beginning of the season if you actually bothered to take notice....or i guess its just easier to say ive tipped Swindon becasue i dont like Poole
  9. Is that the same Belle Vue that were only 2 points down last time at Poole before the abandonment The league is to close to call After 8 matches Ipswich were the form side Right now Poole are Come the play offs it will likely be Swindon Can riders like Klindt and Josh keep their form going....riders have purple patches and losses of form over a course of a season
  10. I agree that there was no reason for the 3 Glasgow riders to ride off during the parade....petulant at worst The facts are simple Cook shouldnt have left the parade The knock on reaction of this was that a marshall stepped on the track Cook was hardly going any speed and had slowed right down , before whatever reason the marshall thinks it would be a good idea to walk into a moving bike Cook then over reacted with a shoulder barge....(headbutt lol) We then get Paul Dugard getting up into Cooks face and then it all kicks off We then get Kennett running to join in along with Martin Dugard Im no fan of Cook but those wanting him banned for longer are blinkered totally Kennett and Vissing rightly banned to Paul Dugard should be banned from Arlington...................Martin Dugard should recieve a hefty fine or a ban.........for those fools who believe Cook did a headbutt, watch Dugard on Vissing
  11. Should be a close match with both teams likely to be stronger with riders missing R/R for Worrall makes Poole stronger at home and Vissing absent also helps Swindon............so no excuses from either side Swindon still my picks for the league and think they are capable of getting something here. Im not sure what some Poole fans want............apparantly this season its important to finish top...........where other seasons its just about getting in the top 4......unsure ahich is best....fickle bunch
  12. If im right Kennett misses 2 home matches for us............v Swindon and v Peterborough.............we can use Wells in the first and Howarth in the second
  13. All riders got what they deserved but the Dugards need some sort of sanction Please read what Ipswich are contesting. They are saying it should only apply for Eastbourne not for Ipswich.......the opinions on that can be discussed.......Ipswich are not saying Kennett should get no ban
  14. Chris isnt contesting Kennetts ban........he is contesting that it shouldnt apply to Ipswich matches as it happened in the lower league
  15. Out of control Cook what on earth where you watching He was doing about 10mph and would have been absolutely no danger to anyone if he had have continued riding round. I dont condone him being on the track.....but out of control is a daft statement The bans are fair ...but the Dugards need to be reprimanded ....or is it ok for Martin to aim a headbutt
  16. Absolutely The dictionary definition of biased is 'unfairly prejudiced' If your biased towards your own side in every single thing then there is no point anyone having an opinion. Edward Kennett ran the length of the back straight at Eastbourne the other night to launch himself at Craig Cook......he rides for my club ...but his actions were wrong and he deserves a fine and if the worst comes to the worst a ban....if that means missing Ipswich meetings then so be it.......i feel if Edward Kennett rode for Poole you would defend him..................
  17. Bewley has gone ok there in his last meeting with 8+2 from 4 beating Klindt , Josh and Kurtz, no mean feat. Swindon will be the form team and nobody will want them. They won at Poole early on and when defeated had r/r wih 0 and a reserve getting 1, and Musielek injured. They go back with Jensen and Vissing and will cause problems , my favourites for the league At the moment we look easy pickings in the top 4 , Harris has been awful bar the odd meeting, KP is off form and Lawson a bit as well
  18. Why do you have a right to be biased? We can all support our own teams without the need to be biased. Poole have done many things wrong over the years , yet you have never seen fit to accept that.... thats not being biased its blinkered Poole are weaker with guests everytime, yet other teams are always stronger if they have guests. That again is not being biased, again its being blinkered. We go into tonights meeting without Heeps. The riders who can take his rides probably tonight makes us a bit stronger. I would also say that without Worrall , especially at home, Poole are stronger but im sure you will always disagree You rode at Ipswich without Kurtz and deserved your win but you said you were weaker without him but he has never gone well at Foxhall and his rides got 11 points out of 12....unlikely Kurtz would have been as good. You seem to have differing opinions on here to most speedway fans including your own supporters. You love your club, nothing wrong in that, but maybe if you wasnt so blinkered about speedway matters then things would change And please tell me where i have stuck the knife in today....i said you deserved your win at Foxhall and made no excuses as such we were beaten by the better team, i was there, and we couldnt live with your boys out of the gate simple as that
  19. If the 4 teams are Poole , Ipswich , Belle Vue and Swindon i would imagine Poole will pick Belle Vue Is it better to finish top or be the form side going into the play offs?
  20. Are there still people on here calling it a headbutt lol Watch what Martin Dugard tries on a Glasgow rider (Vissing) Cook clearly shoulderbarged the marshall...he 100% shouldnt have and will rightly get a fine.............but a headbutt is a comical statement blinkered by people who dislike Cook ( who i have no time for after his shenanigans twice at Ipswich, Barker incident and refusing to race for Glasgow)
  21. Sorry i believe that things said over the mic should be said it creates an atmosphere. Cooks issue if he cant handle it.......many riders would laugh it off
  22. I said there is nothing wrong in my opinion of the people on the mic getting the crowd going surely thats part of the fun? I defended Cook in a lot of areas , but if he cant handle a bit of goading over the mic then he is a bit to precious When i first started going in the early 80's it was paramount to boo the pantomime villan of the other team nothing wrong in that Cook should have let them and then do his talking on the track rather than storm off during the parade
  23. I dont get all of this 'adds nothing' to the field talk Only 1 rider can be World Champion In a field of 15 riders you are going to get maybe 3 or 4 who will struggle it happens every year 2019 Zagar, Lindback 2018 Cook , Pawlick 2017 Lindback , Pawlicki 2016 Harris I want to see the best 15 riders in the world and dont care if some struggle in 2020 as long as they mix it. Riders have to come 14th and 15th Personally i would rather have Zagar and Iversen ahead of a Bellego or Pavlic
  24. Yes it was Paul Dugard and yes he was the one responsible for it escalating further. Cook in the wrong initially but it escalated more because of Dugards actions yes Thought i was the only one who had seen that Kind of makes people look like numpties who claimed that what Cook did was a headbutt, when you see what a proper full on attempt at a headbutt looks like
