Belle Vue v Poole Monday 1/7/19 BT Sports
Gavan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Worrall only got 3 last time so r/r for him won’t be to much of an issue Covatti got 6 last time and NBJ only 1 Get the right reserves in (horses for courses) and Poole will be stronger Poole should be able to find the 10 points scored by Worrall , Covatti and NBJ not that hard to replace A draw last time..... Poole now stronger.... away win -

You can see this going whichever way Poole want it to. If they winning at heat 10 they will stop Best wishes to the injured riders -

Why? If the ambulance is back than the meeting continues. It’s awful what’s happened but you can’t just abandon the meeting. If the ambulance doesn’t come back then obviously you abandon Can you imagine ... -

Is this the same Scott Nicholls that scored 7 from the 'easier ' number 3 position for Peterborough at Poole recently As good as Scott is he isnt as good as Bjerre Oh and Bjerre has a genuine injury Starke should get between 2-5 which is all NBJ has been getting Pirates to win by 20 -

Paul Starke weakens Poole but NBJ only scored 2,4 and 4 in his last 3 home matches so Starke should match that -

Yes i can see this being close Poole struggling to win matches at the moment particularly at home While Belle Vue cant stop winning matches particularly away from the NSS Riders like Josh and Klindt are badly out of form and need to up their game While for Belle Vue the form of Berge , Wells and Bewley away from home have been dynamite and Lidsey flew at Poole last time On paper can only see an easy Belle Vue win....but when these Pirates have their backs to the wall they tend to produce the goods. -
Apart from Poole , Belle Vue have beat everyone at home pretty easily We took them to 2 points but Bewley had a shocker. We also had Bellego getting 10 on a track he loves and i cant see Kennett getting anywhere near that. Heeps doesnt go well there and he is in the 1-5 now Belle Vue are in poor form at home....... we will be lucky to get a anything at their place I know it is seen by many as anti Poole but i believe we have more riders that go better at Poole then at Belle Vue and would expect a closer match at Wimborne Road Different teams go well at different tracks
-
I get your point But we lost at Lynn and they brought in Cook and we went and got a draw Would still rather go to Poole and Peterborough than Belle Vue or Swindon
-
Nope not fishing at all We have won at Peterborough We ran Belle Vue close but we had Bellego (top scored with 10) We lost by 12 at Swindon Now we only lost by 2 at Poole ..... so yes I see believe that Poole away will be easier to get points than it will be at either Belle Vue or Swindon We lost by 10 at Wolves but they are in awful form and we also had Bellego that night (scored zero)..... so yes i believe it will be easier to get points at Wolves then at Belle Vue or Swindon. We have a side that rides Poole quite well and we don’t really have a side that ride Belle Vue that well barring King and Harris (and at the time Bellego). Lawson goes well at Poole and so does Harris and Allen. KP had 2 wins there and Danny had a shocker. Kennett also goes ok at Poole So you can call it fishing ..... I just look at things objectively.... more chance of points at Poole and Wolves than at Belle Vue or Swindon
-
I would take that now.....in fact i would be happy with 2 points We have on paper easier away matches at Poole and Wolves coming up

Poole won the fixture by 20 earlier in the season Poole going along better now and Belle Vue poor away Can only see a Poole win by around 15-18 -
He said earlier the track needs rain.......
-
Your team manager has said the base is the problem Your owner has said the base is the problem Couple of ex riders have said the base is the problem The people doing the remedial work on the track have brought in a huge blade.....as the base is the problem All of Poole fans on here (some of whom i have no time for).....say the base is the problem I guess i should listen to the fool who sells the speedway star over all of those should i........
-
You believe rain is the answer to Pooles track problems The same track that apparantly has problems with issues with the tide....now needs more water As much as your a blinkered troll im in agreement about the base being the problem.....its what causes holes and ruts to form When you have an idea then come back and talk to the adults
-
When you go back a couple of years Kurtz was seen as the next big Aussie coming through He hasnt kicked on and is very inconsistent......a solid enough heat leader in the UK but thats about it When you look at how Fricke has progressed past him and basically left him quite a way behind both domestically but certainly internationally Couple of years ago you could have said Brady might make the gp's but i cant see that now.................he should be at the level of Fricke and Lambert but he is some way off.... That said he is still young enough
-
I get the UK over USA thing, nobody wants to see an English rider lose his place But Broc Nicol is quite a big improvement on Simon Lambert

I think Belle Vue will be there, very hard to beat at home and that may well be enough given the amount of points they have got already. Ipswich are solid but dont have top end firepower which could cost us at home but we also keep away scores tight So far in heats 13 and 15 Ipswich have had the following scores: 18 heats 10....3-3 1.....2-4 1.....4-2 4.....1-5 2....5-1 So yes we lack at the tail end of a meeting but we have been fine in heats 12 and 14 to counter that We do have a free scoring reserve but our other one has missed numerous matches and we are still winning Peterborough are vulnerable at the moment Swindon are one decent reserve away from being top 4 Poole are solid enough to make it Kings Lynn are playing catch up and may have left themselves to much to do My final table would be 1. Ipswich 2. Swindon 3. Poole 4. Belle Vue 5. Kings Lynn 6. Peterborough 7. Wolves You may call this 'anti Poole' but if that was the top 4 and the teams are as they are now i would want Poole over 2 legs, kept it tight at Poole and won easily at home. We kept it tight at Belle Vue mainly due to Bellego. We got easily beat at Swindon who pushed us close at home Lots of twist and turns yet though -
Nope never say that I said Poole would get beat easily at Ipswich and I was right I actually also said Poole would get beat easily at Belle Vue and I was badly wrong I said you would win at Wolves by 4 and it was 2. You thumped Belle Vue earlier on the season and they are bad travellers. Poole are in a bit of form trying to make top 4 and would expect a comfortable win in this. Let’s be fair every team should be looking to win at home
-
So 10 years ago when the Poole track was good , wasnt the base uneven then? Or has the base become uneven over the years. Fact remains the track is poor bordering on dangerous and hopefully this week it will be sorted Poole thumped Belle Vue earlier in the season and i would expect and 18 point win in this one

As predicted a nice win for Poole and pretty much expected when they have riders that go well at Wolves like Josh and Klindt, but the match winner was Covatti Wolves 5 defeats and no points since moving Nicholls on Looks like Poole may find their way into the top 4 Belle Vue and Ipswich look nailed on but the next 2 places are up for grabs between Poole , Peterborough, Swindon and Kings Lynn (home matches in hand). Wolves look out of it in my opinion -

They are 4 points behind us same matches Nothing I’ve seen from this Poole team that makes me think they are any better than Ipswich. We are missing our high scoring reserve and still winning -

Poole dropping points against a struggling Wolves team Maybe Middlo struggling to motivate shouldn’t be throwing away a win from 10 points up and then 6 up with 3 to go. Kurtz very poor -

Should on form be a win for Poole Holder goes well at Wolves only dropping points in one ride last time Brady scored a good 12 points Josh and Worrall both getting 7 last time and winning races Klindt flies round there Only may be at reserve for Poole Poole to win by 4 and keep their chance of getting 4th on track Wolves haven’t got a point on their last 4 matches Pirates expected to get all the points in this one
