I do fear for our 1-7 but lets wait and see. King as a second string around Foxhall will be fine and Allen was sought after by everyone so so far all good. If we build a solid side it needs to have a big hitter somewhere and ive no idea where from. Poole for example have filled their top 5 with riders like Klindt, Josh and Worrall, all heat leaders at a lower level and we can match that with King, Nicholls and Lawson for example....but Poole then have Holder and Kurtz who are a little bit above that level and thats what we need as well.......just who lol
-
Its solid enough but no improvers in Josh , Richie and Klindt though to be fair Klindt had one of his best seasons last year. Cant understand why Poole havent gone for Woryna and Jacobsen , 2 riders who will improve for sure, i know its down to costs, but its never stopped Poole before Lot will depend on Kurtz stepping up and Holder handling being a number one without the guidance of Doyle.

Im still amused that you call it sour grapes my team werent in the same league as your lot so i couldnt care less If you dont feel Poole were lucky last season then i guess there is no hope. As ive also said that wasnt Pooles fault and neither was the fact the final was a non event I guess your elated with Pooles team

I was bored lol

Somerset Sheffield Edinburgh Berwick Think Berwick have a solid look about them and possibly the strongest 2 reserves in the league Redcar for me have a long tail and the top 3 arent in my eyes true number ones but we will see.
-
A bit early but im bored stuck at work! Ipswich still to name 5 riders and Lynn all 7 but we pretty much know the basis of those teams.....so how doe we think it will pan out? 1. WOLVES 2. PETERBOROUGH 3. SWINDON 4. KINGS LYNN (if Lambert, Iversen and Riss sign 5. POOLE 6. BELLE VUE 7. IPSWICH (unless we get a gp superstar in lol)
-
Id have Nicki at Ipswich in a heartbeat
-
or ran into 2 sides decimated by injuries in the semi final and final and were able to use an illegal rider in the final.................depends what glasses you wear Obviously Poole cant help riding against sides that were severely weakened or be responsible for Kings Lynn allowing them to have Morris....teams just get lucky at the right time
-
If you look up the word sarcasm then you may understand what Col was getting it............unlike you not to understand lol
-
Is that because we have only signed 2 riders still plenty of anticipation.........or because we have signed probably the most sought after reserve in the league? I think any supporter is excited at least until the team is signed...... then it can bring you crashing down to earth which can still happen to us at Ipswich with uninspiring signings. This time last year the Poole thread was buzzing in excitement about the riders they had signed, Woryna , Kurtz, Holder , MS. This season so far no shouting from the rooftops so I’m guessing most Poole fans not overly happy
-
Josh and Richie 2 riders not likely to improve. Worrall was reserve last season and still didn’t pull up any trees. Fully expect him to swap places with Covatti Josh third heat leader I assume and struggled at number two last season Not a lot of excitement for Poole fans
-
How on earth is this team anything like Rye House? Harris and Hans maybe but then you have Cook , Wilson Dean, Wright and Bjerre so no comparison at all. Rye House and the dads army were above Poole when they folded......Poole then took another ‘dad’ in Harris which helped them win the league. Poor trolling attempt but expected
-
Would love a Pedersen, Hancock or Zagar but cant see it happening
-
This means then that either Josh or Klindt is the third heat leader...............seems a weak team in comparison to the likes of Swindon and Wolves and on a par with Belle Vue

Cant yet see how anyone can mock the Ipswich side as of yet as we dont know the riders. By all means have concerns over the availability of what is out there. So far we have signed a potential top second string certainly at home. We have signed a young rider that most teams would have loved to have seen in their team It could look awful with the next few signings but at the moment nothing wrong with the two we have signed.
-
No i dont think the BSPA will put in an active promoter I also dont believe Matt Ford would walk away without making sure the club was in safe hands............he may have screwed British Speedway over the years but he is Poole through and through and i couldnt see him leaving without making sure the club was going to be ok
-
Of course they would let Poole close not ideal but why would Poole get any special kind of help. Clubs like Cradley and Coventry to name but two were allowed to close and nobody in the sport could do anything to save those............and they are two clubs with more history than Poole. No fan wants to see any club close (Ford to leave the sport will be good) and certainly not Poole, but as ive said why would they get any help?
-
Rohan burnt a few bridges at Foxhall before he left, constantly moaning about the track not being prepared properly and having a fall out with Louis. If thats all water under the bridge then he could easily be in the 1-7 but wouldnt leave huge amounts for the last rider
-
I would still expect the team to be something like..... 1. ? 2. ? 3. Lawson 4. King 5. Nicholls 6. Allen 7. Heeps/Jensen No idea what would leave and what options we have
-
Not unexpected

Danny King first rider announced
-
Im going for Nicholls and King.......if not Scott then Cam............hope its someone to at least get the fans talking
-
Still it could be worse you could support Ipswich and just be waiting for the scraps nobody else wants! That was the last line of my post..............................funny how i get a response saying Poles 1-7 is better than the Ipswich one.............obviously didnt read it!
-
Cant see him at Wolves , that would scupper the other rider plans. Either Kings Lynn or Ipswich........would love to see him at Foxhall in a reserve berth with Allen
