  1. Heading off to Stansted soon for a flight to Tampere later this afternoon - really looking forward to the GP!
  2. Thanks - got mine now as well to collect on the day.
  3. Has anyone managed to order tickets yet as it seems there are problems if you read the feedback at:- http://www.bilesuserviss.lv/eng/concerts/sports/motoru_sports/?concert=140898
  4. Yes indeed sometimes booking tickets for Polish GP's requires lots of patience, perseverance, guesswork and a little bit of luck!
  5. Mr Nimby aka Raymond Shields is a fireman (rather ironic given his property was destroyed by fire) - I hope they don't put the sirens on when on a 999 call as no doubt he would lodge a complaint against his employer!
  6. It looks like the NIMBY's also failed to notice the huge Airbase just down the road! The noise from the aircraft totally drowns out any Speedway noise when one flies over the stadium! I didn't appreciate a forklift had been driven into the heating oil tank which caused a fire and destroyed the NIMBY's home - Karma?
  7. The late Tony Millard also covered both Speedway at Eastbourne and Football at Brighton.
  8. I just had the later e mail asking me to ignore the earlier e mail (that I hadn't received). Good to know our tickets are in safe hands!
  9. I found an old thread on dead heats that I started in 2007! http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=38527&hl=%20dead%20%20heats On bonus points it might be my mind playing up but I think the rules changed at one stage at least for a while as I recall Andy Smith scoring 1/2 a point in a meeting when he dead heated for third but he scored one bonus point so more in bonus points than actual points!
  10. I noticed this a few weeks ago and asked Ryanair why they had failed to notify me. They did not directly answer my question but said I was entitled to my money back which I knew anyway. I use Ryanair a lot for Speedway trips but frankly trying to communicate with them over anything is usually a complete waste of time in my experience.
  11. Gdansk is also quite easy to get to and from Torun - just under two hours away and mostly on very new and virtually empty motorway!
  12. Sadly there are far too many to mention them all but a few that stand out for me are:- Wembley where I first saw Speedway. I have really enjoyed trips to Hyde Road Belle Vue, The Shay Halifax and County Ground Exeter. Trelawny was a great experience as well! Now I'm based in Buckinghamshire it would be nice to have Milton Keynes back! Finally, I really hope the Isle of Wight does not join the list!
  13. Allsvenskan fixtures for 2014 http://www.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/Nyheter/ALLSVENSKANSPEEDWAY2014/
  14. I would like to add my thanks as well - you all do a great job - well done!
  15. Well Riga is being reported by quite a few different sources this evening! Time will tell of course!
  16. I think Tai is assured of a point from Ales Dryml (if Ales gets in front) who seemed to go out of his way to let Tai through in Stockholm.
  17. For the most unforced errors not involving other riders it has to be Olly Allen for me. Dropped it three times tonight and all on the same bend!
  18. I will probably might make my third and final visit of the season Tony. See you there,
  19. Malilla back for 2014? http://www.barometern.se/sporten/ot-avslojar-gp-cirkusen-tillbaka-i-malilla-2014(3943001).gm
  20. I enjoyed the meeting and have to agree to some of the above posts. Apart from giving some riders more track time I cannot think why Dudley were so intent on losing today.
  21. Well done to Craig Cook breaking the track record in heats 1,5 and 15!
  22. I have travelled with Travel Plus and can highly recommend them. I also do my own thing quite regularly as for instance last week I did two meetings in Sweden and one in Denmark and as others have mentioned it is quite easy to organise this kind of travel in this day and age. I quite enjoy driving abroad so that might be a factor to take account of. Both options have their merits and are equally enjoyable in my experience.
