  1. Spot on and that’s what should have happened. I guess the cynics amongst us might think Leicester were ok with 15 October for the home (and second) leg but Poole tried to outflank them by scheduling a Redcar KOC final for 12 October and thus a possibility of the second leg on 19/21 October for them so Leicester countered by going for 22 October. Maybe I’m just too cynical though!
  2. I thought Slough were still running? I am sure I read something about them on this very forum a few years ago!
  3. Yes indeed - he was quick enough to use social media and tell us all when the BSPL initially blocked his move to BV!
  4. The absence of several riders with questionable reason(s) was no great surprise and when you add in Musielak and Howarth at Sheffield sadly it is nothing more than we come to expect these days. Fortunately the racing was very good and Kurtz, Zagar and Simon Lambert did their very best to keep matters interesting on track by giving the King’s Lynn riders plenty to think about. Good to see Jason Edwards with a couple of race wins as well. Even Barbara Horley managed to add another clear and obvious error to her long list of career clangers by awarding Zagar second ahead of Jorgensen in heat 10.
  5. Well I guess the postponements at Poole last Wednesday and at Leicester this evening has meant the end of this competition that always seemed destined to fail.
  6. Round 5 at Leicester on 25 October! https://britishspeedway.co.uk/calendar/2022-fixtures-results/
  7. Lambert is in the top six so won’t need a pick. There are indeed six wildcards this time due to Madsen winning the Euros which will certainly help the likes of Doyle and maybe Thomsen.
  8. Agreed and I have always found it a bit of a mystery why several members of the Swindon management team often told us that we would have a new stadium at Blunsdon when there was precious little to indicate that was remotely likely.
  9. Yes that’s the one. Dodgiest track record ever! From memory Henning’s next ride was getting on four seconds slower!
  10. I think they make the race times up on occasions. I remember one meeting last season when all the times suddenly came out at .00, .25, .50 or .75 so much so I was able to guess a few in advance! Don’t get me started on Henning Bager’s track record!
  11. Not being able to squeeze in 10 home league fixtures in the best part of six months is truly shocking although it is not that surprising given the way Speedway is run these days!
  12. Assuming the FIM rule is the same did Jim Lawrence chose to ignore it in the second GP at Horsens because he was incapable of deciding who was the primary cause in the back straight collision involving Pedersen, Zagar and Kildemand?
  13. Sheffield must be after Stoke’s record for regularity of call offs. I seem to recall BV had the book thrown at them for a dodgy call off v Poole some years ago. If memory serves me correctly they were no longer allowed to call off meetings themselves. Surely Sheffield (and others) need more scrutiny as these situations continue to do untold damage to a sport already on its knees.
  14. Hopefully they will make an early decision to call it off tomorrow rather than go through this again!
  15. That’s given me a great idea Arnie. Let’s start flogging tickets for the Oceanic round (any venue in that part of the world will do) and then (with a few weeks to spare) move it to Vojens for a November staging!
  16. Knowing the way Speedway runs it might not be confirmed (as not happening) until after Torun.
  17. I generally aim for about 60-90 minutes before start time. The time goes very quickly catching up with others who do the same.
  18. For those hoping to do both Glasgow and Berwick today you might wish to note that Tony Steele is the referee at Glasgow. Unfortunately he is not exactly renowned for the smooth and prompt running of Speedway meetings so it’s a case of fingers firmly crossed!
  19. The missing test match is 07/06/34. Happy to buy it off you if you have a spare. Many thanks
