Yes i've just edited my post as I hadn't seen that statement. Although part of me doesn't believe it, why would he make a team and bring in a new manager if he had no intention to run. In terms of Masters, I may not like him but I can't deny that he is a good rider and would benefit the team.
-
Can't see Coventry not running, they have a lease for next season and a team in place. Now Mick Horton is back i'm sure he will get it sorted. Edit: Just seen the statement by Coventry Stox so not sure who to believe.
-
Well you know what I mean, Garry and Debbie made the decision not the fans or the riders so to want to get one over them and slag the club off as a whole imo is wrong.
-
Wilson Dean is a Somerset asset and fully believe he will be in the team
-
Agree to disagree but imo he acted childish, as I stated the fans liked him and he was friends with the riders. So to me he slagged his friends and fans off for no reason, It wasn't the club who made the decision, it was Garry and Debbie. It was a massive kick in the teeeth for the fans who supported him, as I did back then.

Rebels have our team signed up so won't be battling for anyone. -
My point still stands that no rider is bigger than the club. If he felt let down he should have gone about things in a different way. Rather than slagging the club off via social media was not the route to go. Especially as the Rebels gave him his chance in the first place. As I stated earlier no rider is bigger than the club and to fit sam back in would have been a hindrance. The fans and riders hadn't done anything to him so to want to get one over them is petty and childish.

Yep that was it we had: Doyle, Davies, Monberg, J. Wright, Vissing, Perry and Newman. Garry wanted to keep Monberg as he was riding well so would have had to lose Newman and Wright. Tbf the thing that annoyed me the most was him guesting for Scunthorpe in the rained off semi final just because he didn't want us to win it. Childish behaviour. Tbf it's more banter these days but before it was because of him slagging the club off and trying to help Scunthorpe in the PO final.

I think his press statement was sort of confirmation tbh. If he goes anywhere in the Premiership it will be back to Belle Vue. No not just me that booes Masters, i've heard a few round by me when i've been there. Somerset didn't sack him though, he got injured and when the averages changed it meant changing 2/3 riders to bring him back. No rider is bigger than the club.

Grajczonek isn't coming back, already stated he doesn't like the traveling every Friday. Wajtknecht I doubt will be back, needs a tighter track imo. Plus I doubt Masters will be a Rebel again seeing as he gets booed by a section of the crowd.
-
Never said I was bitter but not liked him since that personally.

I would rather take Wright who is more of a character an asset and loves the club than Batchelor. Masters while he is a good rider has slagged the club off before and in the 2012 final wanted to ride for Scunthorpe just so we couldn't win it.
-
Erm no you can change Batch for Wright, Heeps for Allen and Masters for Tungate if it fits cba to look.
-
news from the top is, everything is going to plan, & we'll be arranging a social evening very soon to announce the team #NoPanic From the Twitter page
-
We're all impatient but I trust in Garry to put a decent side out and willing to wait.
-
I would say the team is sorted tbh and will announce at a SREF meeting like they always do. . Calm down out of 63 places 16 have been announced. Even without Belle Vue and Liecester that is still 33 riders to be announced. There is an entire winter to go and some people like trying to guess.

Starke is a Somerset asset so doesn't matter what they offer, if May wanted to use him he will.
-
Did we? Where did you hear that from? As far as I know Mountain may not even be ready for the start of the season.
-
True, as I mentioned earlier in the thread that is going to be our main problem. The Hancocks may be wealthy but other promotions can offer more.
-
Shanes gone to Poole missed a trick there, should have snapped him up on a 2.00 average.
-
Rode at the OTA for us last season and we all asked for him to come back. Miles better prospect than Perks, who hasn't kicked on as many thought. Absolutely gutted that we haven't got Shanes.
-
Bjarne Pedersen no thanks, 9.67 he won't get anywhere near that he was getting beat by fast track reserves last season. He was a good rider but has had his time.
-
Yes Bristol, Exeter, Gloucestershire, Plymouth, and Cardiff are all in a close enough range. Only problem of joining Somerset is GP practice on a Friday.
