Somerset V Berwick 15.5.15
Falcon Hammer replied to Cliffeboy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Always NL, costs are cheeper & Liam Carr as No.1 - still great racing. Think Redcar should go the same way & if Glasgow get a training track, could get a second team -
Best meeting of the year for me & going to be hard to beat. Jakobsen last to first in Ht4 & 15, & Davies 3rd to 1st Ht.7. So much overtaking my programme's a mess. So sorry for Scunny with injuries to Josh & Alex, predicted a draw & match was in the balance until this point. Get well soon guys If anyone needs a template for a track & prep visit Scunny

On 24-April Kent issued a statement, which included the paragraph: "Regarding last nights decision, it is felt prudent to await until the club receives the decision of the Planning Committee in writing, so theres complete clarity over what permission has been granted (obviously having been successful, this is basically in line with the clubs application and relates to Fridays only) and the specific conditions therein, before issuing a more comprehensive statement about this and what this means for the future of Kent Speedway." Still no update! Would expect them to be singing & dancing about it! Looks like it's going to be announced next Friday at the Orsett Hall Hotel -
Matthew Wethers has signed for the Comets. Didn't see that one coming! http://www.workingtoncomets.co/news/article.asp?id=100490

Peace in our time. Looks like no more double-headers according to the amended fixture list If the track is prepared like last week, will be great racing for the rest of the year for Rockets & Raiders fans

Kent Kings V Coventry Storm Koc 11/05
Falcon Hammer replied to blueherb777's topic in National League Speedway
My first visit to Kent this year, and have to agree with AJ is King, the crowd looked considerably down from last year The track was also disappointing, with a blue groove appearing almost immediately & the only overtake was Knuckey on Verge in Ht.1. Maybe I was unlucky on this occasion. Pity, as the stadium & viewing is fantastic -
Best Pairs Cup
Falcon Hammer replied to customhouseregular's topic in International World of Speedway
Agree Ghostwalker. Guess problem is that we didn't enter the competition at the start; could've organised the fixture-list around it (& Tai could've done the same) Good to see BSPA relented tho, bodes well for next year -

Rye House V Scunthorpe 9/5/15

Great meeting tonight, track was gorgeous, meeting flowed, some great racing & thought a draw was a fair result. Eddie was imperious & Wilko, Lunna & Pijper great entertainment. Top notch -

We could only of got Charles Wright if we didn't choose Adam Ellis. Adam is generally doing his job as a Tier 2 rider. We haven't got a competitive Tier 1 rider though. Hopefully Steve Boxall can add a few points, we have a 3 week break now, so he has time to recover from his recent injury Swindon fans were complaining last season about the disparity in the draft: Didn't realise just how much it effects the result until it happened to us this season Definitely, reckon there'll be some massive news on Lakesides future. Jon Cook hasn't been as chipper for a quite a while now; hope everything's OK -

Still recovering, I wish -
Well nobody's started a thread for this, and it's the day of the meeting. Should be some good scraps between Eddie & Josh & looking forward to seeing Lunna around the launch pad Anyone going, or still angry with Len

We couldn't have Lewis Blackbird as Wolves, finishing lower than us, had next choice. The only rider we could of got was Charles Wright, before Swindon. Poole, Lynn & Coventry already had their 1st choice protected Our only choice was: Wright + 3rd pick Birks + Ellis Unfortunately Ashley hasn't kicked-on since his injury last year & it's tougher for Adam, with better riders in Tier 1 Can't really fault Vatcher for this, top teams got the top riders!
