It's easy to judge without knowing the facts, something similar happened a few years ago after a meeting and the conversation between three people went like this… 1, Can you get rider to Italy in a few days time ? I need a decision yes or no within the next 20 minutes 2, errr, we have an engine that needs servicing , a meeting here and another meeting in another country before that date, 3, Right, if I take your engine out now, i'll service it, you go off and do your meeting, drive straight to the ferry afterwards, i'll meet you there at midnight, you can then drive all through the night to get to your other meeting then straight on to Italy after that….. 2, ahh sod it yes, sleep is overrated anyway. We were lucky enough to have the back up, flexibility, time and finance to be able to do that… not every rider has. It's not about which rider you feel is more deserving of the place, it's about who is able to step in and help the team when asked.

The bad thing about social media is all the armchair experts. The guys who are "in the know", I once had someone tell me about how they'd specifically spoken to a certain rider the day before, how everything was in place and that they knew for certain what was going to be announced within a few days. The fact that the rider was sitting next to me a thousand miles away and had never met the guy never came into it. Also his "expert" predictions were a load of bollocks, ( as most seem to be)

Personal preference is a big thing in this, Dimi (Berge) won last night. I've know him since the day he was born, ( at the same hospital as Adam funnily enough), I know his parents, his grandparents, aunts uncles etc, he and Adam rode grass track in France together for three seasons I was over the moon for him to be through to the finals. I've met Lambert once and Clegg twice, I don't think i've spoken to either of them other than a hello, Why should I prefer them to Dimitri just because they're English ?

Adam Qualifies for the World U21 finals with a 4th place tonight in Pardubice. Just missing out on a podium place after a run off with Hansen. one happy old man !

Shoulder wasn't too bad but foot was a bit sore at the end , all good for Leicester.

not sure about fit ! it was a big crash, writing off one rolling chassis. he's still in a bit of pain and this will be his first outing / test of the shoulder

Adam managed to score at wolves, were the races easier there ?

That's because up until midday on the day it was announced talks were still going on between 2 teams. But as you appear to know more than me I'll now to your superior knowledge. What was the other team again ?

It's funny how people are "advised" without knowing the full facts but love to give their opinion anyway. i've been sitting opposite Adam and seen stuff online that someone "in the know" had "reliably been informed" about that was pure fiction and we've laughed over it. Remember, what you've been told / read is nine times out of ten opinion and not fact. All these offers over riders/clubs/money/sponsorship/ are between the riders and clubs and mostly don't come off because of clashes of calenders / international commitments etc, but that doesn't stop people putting 2 and 2 together and making 5 Now you know why I only come on here once in a blue moon …..… I'm out of here

Once again the money situation is mentioned by people who don't know , Adam neither asked for or was offered any more than last year at Birmingham, ( which was less than some other NL no1's were /are on). Dugard's asked him to help, he's eligible, it's short term and the racing fits in with his fixtures. Why shouldn't he ride ? If you're going to use the "he's far too good" excuse you may as well say let's stop anyone playing football against Lionel Messi. Young riders need track time (whatever their level of development, Adam included ) and someone / something to aspire to. You never stop learning, no track time is wasted.

Friend of mine looked in today …. Diggers everywhere. Hope it's on, normally i'd have booked a flight to the UK to see this but not going to take the risk.
