  1. Only a very small handful of clubs were prepared to entertain one league, and I think that will end up being one of the worst decisions these clowns will ever make...
  2. If it wasn't 'well run', it wouldn't have been 'well backed'. Successful national businessmen don't throw their money at poorly run outfits...
  3. He did... that or a minimum 6 team Premiership...
  4. 'Throwing his toys out of the pram' is a well worn phase in speedway, and it's normally directed at people who have wanted to progress the sport domestically. UK speedway has a history of successful promoters walking away from the sport, thanks to the short-sighted toxic dinosaurs that are destroying British speedway...
  5. The NFL doesn't run on a tight shoe string budget. Comparing the two is hardly the smartest comparison, the NFL's revenue is over $23 billion a year...
  6. After expenses ? Would you trust a speedway promoter to calculate that honestly...πŸ˜‰
  7. Meaning the top team miss out on a bumper play off meeting. It's a sensible solution, but financially flawed...
  8. I just love all these business experts popping up on here, and giving 'advice' on something they have absolutely no clue about. Hilarious...πŸ˜‚
  9. And I guarantee he wouldn't do it, if it doesn't at least break even. We will hopefully know in the next few weeks, so fingers crossed it's positive news for the club...
  10. ''You said he can't make guarantees, as owner he can... until there's a prospective buyer.'' You sure about that...πŸ˜‰
  11. Sellers can't guarantee anything about something they will ultimately have no control over. Having heard it straight from the horse's mouth, I stand behind Chris and his decision 100%...
  12. You can't run a premiership with just 4 teams (possibly 5), and with the great majority not interested in forming one league, Chris has had enough of banging his head against the wall with the short sighted SCB and BSPA. Guy Nicholls might save it, but that's just a maybe at this stage. One league could have possibly saved British Speedway, the time was right, but predictably that chance has been squandered...
  13. In a nutshell, there aren’t enough teams. Simple as that...
  14. I said 8 years ago that Premier League speedway in the UK would not exist in 10 years time. Looks like I was off by a couple of years...
  15. They think the Premiership is in trouble... it is now...
  16. It would take more than a few weeks to put this right...
  17. It's all BSF rumours, I wouldn't take any notice of it...
  18. Which of course, he had absolutely nothing to do with. It's ludicrous that anyone would have that mindset, although I suspect they are feeling a tad silly now. He was a breath of fresh air in the Premiership, and a fabulous lad to boot...
  19. If there is, I just hope Buster is not involved...
  20. Neither teams fits into anything, the points limit has not been announced...
  21. It's been on life support for a while now Brum. It will have to be just one league if we lose a few more tracks, and I just don't see a 'top league' existing in five years time...
