Poole Vs Rye House Thurs 10/8/17
keef robin replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Christ!!what a knobbing, 60-30 must be the heaviest home defeat of the season, to a team second from bottom. Makes the race for 4th. a lot more interesting now. KK excellent signing for Rye. Poole a different side away. -
What about Big Ears?

It used to be apart from Adelaide so my bro who lives there tells me, bloody bunch of convicts maate! -
I've read purple pants are now very popular in Poole and Peterborough, a current trendy fashion faux pas, hundreds of pairs have been purchased.Must wear my Robins shirt on holiday in Poole next month, hope I don't get duffed up by some Pirate supporting pensioners in Poole and Bournemouth!

Some Swindon fans do, let's smash all those rivals! But give credit to those good enough to beat the rip-roaring Robins. Wolverampton you mean! -

Who doesn't have a criminal record in Oz?! Holder is not the same rider, if he bothers to return not a massive bonus for any club. -

Would have thought the vast majority of fans don't bother with this forum, have always found the Knobs a decent, friendly bunch unlike a few fans of a couple of clubs. Good bit of bants between Swindon and Poole fans, local west country rivals, Moonrakers and Knobs. On holiday in Branksome Chine next month, perhaps will spot someone wearing purple pants! Can see Pirates win tonight after their run of home defeats...48-42, would have been a hammering without Krackerjack at reserve, ex world number 2! -
I think Poole would be a better pick for Swindon than the Rebs. Wolves would be the toughest tie. Although this Robins outfit can win anywhere. Get Doyley fit for the play-offs, the others will be running scared. Should be decent crowd for KL, everyone can afford a fiver, and avenge that rare home defeat in May. With 5 out of 8 meetings left at home the Robins should finish top of the pile for the first time since 2009. Great team spirit and confidence, the Shabbey should be buzzing for the remainder of the season.

Narrow win for those Knobs. -
Great bunch of fans those Robins supporters.

Don't know if Mike Bowden is still involved in club? Spoke to him at club shop before Xmas, was saying definitely be in new stadium by June. Probably got cheesed off with the delays and walked away. Record breaking Robins getting a write up in Mirror today.
-
Perhaps they wont risk Jase yet, wait till he's fully fit for later fixtures? Good at Rye but bloody awful at Swindon for Rye and Poole.

Good to see record breaking Robins getting write-up in today's Mirror. -
Only by Cookie, I think most Robins fans thought no chance of top 4 place. It was Belle Vue, Poole, Wolves, Rye House, Kings Lynn, Swindon. Morra, Dave B., Toby Muesli have been immense. Brad and Adam vast improvement to the April/May side.

Some great close racing in the league this year, very rare a team hits 60 points. Regardless of the quality of riders. For Swindon to thrash Poole and hit 56 both home and away and hammer Belle Vue in Manchester is remarkable, they rarely win in Dorset. And they were sixth in the betting. The Swindon steam train rolls on. -
Great run 11 wins in a row, and not at full strength, is it club record? Some excellent signings, for a team that was third from bottom.
-
Swindon to come top, possible Swindon-Wolves final. No one wants 4th.place!

Swindon 2009, 2012 -
Swindon have already beaten Rye 4 times this year, we were getting fed up with em at Blunsdon, but they have decent home record, not sure about Kennett as guest instead of Doyley. With no KK will go for Robins win, 11 in a row and stay top of the pile.

Premiership Matches Deadline!
keef robin replied to Speedwaycrazy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Bit crazy trying to cram in all these fixtures in August, especially with this weather, costs for the fans as well, when there were so many blank nights early on. Swindon had 37 home meetings in 1979! -
Well done Swindon Robins...top of the league!!!
