Poole Pirates Vs Swindon Robins 19/07/17
keef robin replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The Swindon Armada sailed into town, and after much pillaging and plundering the Poole flag was nicked and replaced by a white one by the back straight bog crew Queues of Pirates lined up to jump off cliffs and piers, and a pile of Speedway Stars were recovered off Hengistbury Head this morning. The Bournemouth and Poole Samaritans have had jammed lines. Just for a motorcycle match between the Knobs and Moonrakers. Is it all worth it? -

No, I went to GB v Sweden 68, 12000 official crowd, but hundreds climbed in. Stopped watching speedway around 72, then had 32 year break, still lovin it!

Pete almost unbeatable around The Abbey in the wet.

Yes Swindon legend, Ferndale Road lad, his son Lee is nice guy. Wish I had seen the 67 side, first meeting on moving from London, a Dons fan,1968 Swindon beat Belle Vue 56-22, Kilbs and Briggo max.

Good luck to Brizzle, had massive support in the 70s at Eastville. Would be local derby for Swindon and Zummerzet. -
Remember when Killer rode for Swindon's arch rivals. They asked him to list 3 teams he wished to ride for. He wrote...Swindon, Swindon, Swindon.

A guy was saying you can park free in side street between the Principality and football stadium. -
Reason For The Poll On Forum

Probably 90% of so-called members and fans don't even bother going onto the forum anymore. -
Doyley, although Uncle Greg might be worth a flutter.

This season is one of the best ever for close exciting racing and unpredictability. Only been two meetings where a team has hit 60...great stuff! -

Another fantastic win for Swindon after being 11 points down, unlucky Leicester. Superb last heat 5-1. Well done Toby and Morra. And the Robins move into 4th. -

If we can win at top team Belle Vue by 14 points without Doyley, no disrespect to Leicester, we should be getting full points to get into the playoffs. We still have Somerset and Leicester twice at home. Hoping for another Bellego and Wilson-Dean super show. With Adam and Zach at reserve Swindon have a very powerful line-up. -
I'm patriotic as well, but a Swindon fan, will go for the Cookie when Doyley isn't riding. The young Polish contingent could clean up this year.
-
Was always going to be Somerset or Leicester bottom for me, thought we may finish sixth.

Been to 8 out of the last 12 GPS, best for me was last year. Hoping for a Doyley win this year, should be plenty of noisy Polish fans in attendance.

Cardiff Gp Car Parking

I agree park n ride is a poor option, especially when there are hundreds queuing for busses to get back to the football stadium.Train is ok if you don't fancy driving, or want to drink. Easy there but have to change at Bristol Temple Meads en-route to Swindon on return. Normally around 100 Robins fans on train. Will be parking in city centre this year.
