Can remember getting the great Briggo's autograph at Swindon, when you could go into the pits, too shy to say anything though. Riders should be interacting with the fans and its not just kids who want them, I do! At Swindon the riders went into crowd at the end, but its not a regular thing.

Probably nearly as many turned up for the recent 5 matches in 11 days, as the whole of the season. I remember going to I think it was the Kings Lynn match in May when they lost, never seen so few at The Abbey, so quiet, near bottom of table, dismal. Crowds seemed to pick up end of July for Rye House after the team had those 3 away wins in a row, thrashing Bell View and Pool, and zooming up the table, with Muesli in side. So the Pole not the Aussie has increased the crowds!

The Robins finished top far more deserving!

Somerset Rebels Vs Poole Pirates 01//09/17

Shame, on me olidays in Poole on the 18th. -
Could be the loss of form of Bjerre, or as you say lack of home advantage, with Somerset and Leicester winning there. Poole's home form ain't good, so that's why most people would go Swindon-Wolves final
-
Swindon smashed Belle Vue away 49-35 without Doyley, they also beat the Aces at home without him, and trounced Poole away 56-36, looking forward to seeing Muesli at his old club Wolves.Swindon and Poole were smashed at Rye, All 4 will be glad not to have to go there, and they're not in KO Cup semis.

Rye House V Swindon 1st September
keef robin replied to crazysue's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Agree tricky...all those quality teams past and present in all sports, Cradley and Oxford in speedway, All Blacks, Windies, Aussies, Surrey, Arsenal, Dulwich Hamlet, Brazil, Real Madrid etc., will be beaten now and then, but they have that winning mentality and resilience. All 4 teams will be glad Rye House are out. Well done to Rye ending Swindon's 3 month unbeaten run, what a spanking. Aarnio should be snapped up. Rosco Out! Tee hee hee -

Rye House V Swindon 1st September

Bellego must go...just need Poole to win, don't fancy going back to Hertfordshire. At least they're not in Cup semis. Great run Swindon, beat Rye 5 out of 6 times this year -

I thought Leicester have been one of the better teams at the Abbey this year, pretty evenly matched sides this year, apart from Swindon. -

Swindon Vs Wolves 31/8/17

Who said British speedway is dead with around 9000 peeps pouring into the Abbey these last 11 days. Some bank accounts going into overdraft..Have to keep them coming back, far too many hold ups last night. Good to see the riders going into crowd afterwards, should be a victory lap after each race. Don't know who the announcer was. Had brief chat with Aarnio, few grands worth of engine blown when leading Freddie. Muesli same problem. -

Fantastic Swindon, comfortable win, miles clear at top of league, another good crowd, and the Blunsdon Roar is back. Aarnio beating Lindgren then cuts out. Superb pass by Morra, Doyley different class. Toby blows engine. Great campaign, 17 wins in row, from second bottom to the summit. Let's do the Double Robins. -

I beg your pardon orlovski, you know I only wear pink chinos for speedway, matches my green jacket and red shoes, wouldn't be seen in purple, a definite fashion faux pas. Yep good to go, only shower this morning. Lets get into em and finish top. -

Ok I will be wearing my Clive Hitch rosette. -
True, Wolves have the best home record, but Swindon best away. If The Knobs get in would choose them, the Mancs second choice.

A raincoat, 5th. meeting in 11 days, around 7000 have gone through those rusty Abbey gates so far on the two Mondays and Thursday. Some skint Robins fans around. GO ROBINS!!! -
Swindon Vs Wolves 31/8/17
keef robin replied to Perton Wolf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The last time we beat Wolves in June there was no Doyley Morra or Muesli! Have to be confident of beating anyone in semis over 2 legs, Swindon are the team to beat, although this record-breaking run may go at Rye or Wolves.
