  1. When the Stars won here in May Holder and Batch contributed 21 points, you can't see where those points are coming from now. Doyley got 18, the only Swindon rider to win a race that night. They have Toby now, and Ellis is vastly improved. 3 clubs on 29 points fighting for 4th with Poole.
  2. That's the one, junc.16, Swindon west, there's plenty of roadworks there as well. Just as quick to go through town at that time of day, very little traffic now the school's are closed. Perhaps Thursday's meeting will be reduced price, unlikely though.
  3. Be better for some fans to use junction 15 and wind their way through west Sindon.
  4. Good luck to all the lads, speedway is a very expensive sport for them.
  5. This will be another pasting for the away team, if Swindon don't hit 60 I will be surprised. Unfortunately no Batch or Holder to make it more interesting. The last team to beat Swindon almost 3 months ago. Hoping for good weather and a massive turnout only a fiver to get in.
  6. Sedgey has been a disappointment this season after his form in Oz back in January. My bro saw him break Leigh Adams track record at Gillman, Adelaide, and Davey Watt won that round. He said they were the two fastest. Both couldn't transfer that form to British league racing.Although Sedgey is struggling with an injury now.
  7. Last time no victory parade but 10 mins after finish riders walked over to applaud the remaining Robins fans in stadium. It's a great racetrack, better than The Abbey. Better view for fans as well. Lucky they missed the rain we had in Swindon.
  8. Just said well done to the Flying Frenchman and his mechanic parked up in his van at a Swindon Maccy D's, perhaps they were munching on the salad option. Fantastic win again for those flying Robins, 12 in a row. The Swindon steam train smashes on. Was it as good as first meeting in April, crowd level?
  9. In 8 Thursdays mid April-June the Robins only had one home fixture, mid May! which they lost, Kings Lynn. Last defeat end of May, also at Lynn, the only time they haven't taken a point. Fantastic run since then. Can anyone explain why the fixtures have been planned like this? Luckily they're top so crowds have increased. The Town are in action again so lot of expense for fans that follow both sports.
  10. Definitely not...boresville. Has to be two different sides. Will be some triple headers at this rate! Shouldn't be in this position though.
  11. Was a superb meeting in April, hardly rained April May June half of July, now look at it, always seems to soddin rain in August, school hols. Narrow win hopefully, Rebs 42 Robs 48. Wont chance it this time, weather and m4/5 on an August Friday.
  12. Yep 1 in 2 months between mid April and mid June, and 5 in 10 days! Should finish top though. Only 2 postponement both against Rebs.
  13. Called off till next Thursday. Not good for the fans that have a 80-100 mile and further round trip. Face Rebs again in double-header on Bank Holiday Monday 4 days later. Be interesting to see their line-up.
  14. Start delayed one hour till 8.30 I would rather we faced Poole.
  15. Very heavy rain in Royal Haydon End, 2 miles from track...6.15 Bladdy hailstorm mate, hope you're not getting too wet up on The Hill!Sods law, the weather is generally better on speedwayless Thursdays.
  16. If Robs lose to this Rebs line up will be the massive shock of the season. Hopefully will be reasonable turnout from Wurzelland.
  17. Really struggled last night...well done Cookie.
  18. My money would be on Rye but theres been so many unpredictable results this season ya never know.
  19. Yeah I know last year a few of the Aussie lads were using the workshop facilities at Stone House Farm, Lydiard Millicent. He drove the opposite way from M4 towards Malmesbury.
  20. Must still live in Swindon area, 3 filling stations within 400 yards, bit dearer than Swindon, don't fill up in Marlborough though!
