I would go Morris Lindgren Cook Batchelor Doyle Bjerre Thorsell Bellego Andersen Kurtz Grajczonek Nicholls Hougaard Nilsson Worrall Fricke Howarth Harris Lambert Masters -
Good to see 3 Robins in top 10 of averages, especially Morra and Bellego.

Was this as good as last week's meeting against Swindon, 44-46, decent crowd again? -
He had a similar poor start last year with Poole, especially away. Makes ya wonder.

I've heard the new stadium is stored in Denmark at Legoland

Good luck Rebs...6 point win for them -
Ya never know might drive past one day and stadium will be in place!
-
We hear so many different stories people don't believe them, and its best to say won't be a new stadium.

Somerset V Swindon 21/4/17

Good luck to the Rebs this season, great race track and friendly fans. If all speedway meetings were like this would be no worries about crowd levels. I would go more if I lived nearer, won't be much fun on the M5 in summer. -
Good luck Davey, after winning the opening round of the Aussie championship surprised he hasn't done so well.

Poole V Swindon Ela 1/5/17 6pm
keef robin replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Wont be much in it, with Doyley, Bellego, Morra all on fire, 3 of the top riders in league, and Ellis who likes Poole back on form. The Pirates reserves should win it for them, will go Knobs 48 Moonrakers 42. Not one of Swindon's fav tracks along with Wolves. Hopefully take a point. If its as good as the 45-45 draw at Blunsdon should be great for the fans to watch, and decent size Bank Holiday crowd. -
They used to average around 1200 in 2004/5 when I watched them, but I've heard the crowds have dropped to as low as 750/800. In the same time Swindon's have probably gone from averaging around 2000 to around 1400. Always guarantee big crowd when Poole visit. With no new stadium in sight cant see crowds increasing. Unfortunately well- supported Coventry are no more.Good to see bigger crowds in Manchester. It seemed a few years ago line-ups weakened every year and prices increased every year. Clubs should look at IOW, actively promoting the sport has led to good crowd increases in an area of a small population. When I have spoken to people about speedway most are put off by the admission cost.

Read that less than 30000 attend league speedway each week, so must be very few Championship and National League clubs getting more than 1000 at the 30ish tracks in the UK. Perhaps crowds have bottomed out, and can't fall any further, a bit like 50 years ago. If every track has racing as good as at Somerset wouldn't be worries about crowd levels.

David Bellego est en feu!
-
Rode ok at OTA Friday night.
-
Josh G. much improved for Somerset last night as opposed to his spell at Swindon last year
-
David was fantastic last night at Zummerzet winning the last two heats, aggressive and determined, manofthematch again. Good to see Adam riding better. Just need better form from the reserves. If only we had the quality of racing at Blunsdon. Full throttle passing and re-passing throughout the meeting, good west-country derby, with the Robins riders coming out to applaud the big away support. Great away win, with tough away trips coming up

Heats 14 and 15 superb as well, along with a few others. Is the racing as good as this at every OTA meeting? You could have chucked a rizla paper over all 4 riders in one heat! Do they not have victory parade. Good to see Robins riders applauding their fans way after the meeting ended. Ronan was so inconsistent at Swindon last year, not a number 1, but Josh was brilliant last night, good at Blunsdon last year, but poor away. Think Somerset will struggle to get away points. -
Another decent crowd at Somerset last night, and some superb racing that will get them coming back for more. Best racing track for me, so many passes in one meeting, and last heat decider for Swindon win.

No wonder you prefer Somerset to Swindon, can only compare this meeting to Cov-Swindon 10 years ago when Adams and Chryrsnaezeaxowski got a last heat 5-1 for a 46-44 victory. Superb entertainment last night, even the chips tasted nice. Good little set up down there. Will be back in August. Bellego manofmatch again, great signing by Rosco. Yeah a Rebels fan was telling us. Bizarre, cows in field behind us, then busy M5. -

Just back from Zummerrzet, managed to get down there in the end, glad I did, some great racing and a Swindon win. Superb from the Flying Frenchie. Rebels fans are lucky to watch this standard of racing regularly. Rebels unlucky but much needed win for The Robins. Good support for Swindon, and decent crowd in attendance. Good view for spectators, first time I've seen peacocks and chickens and a goat by turnstiles! If only Blunsdon was like this, fantastic advert for the sport. -
Only if the sun is shining, and Robins haven't been ammered in all their away matches. The footie season will have finished by mid May, some fans can't afford to follow both. They have a month to save for the next meeting!

Certainly in 2 of the 3 Swindon home meetings the car park has been full, excellent considering the weaker line-ups and new stadium issues, and poor weather last Sunday.
