I did.I sent a couple of questions to Nigel asking about skys role in the meeting and he blocked me!!! It was just a couple of basic questions,i didnt take sides,nothing and he blocked me.sad

Blimey that statement has just made the meeting steward look 10 times worse then i thought!! If Sky have no say in the state of the track and weather to race or not,the crash in heat 9 makes it even more appalling that the meeting steward thought the meeting should carry on.

I dont get what journey you seem to be on,but before you say "until someone comes up with a better solution"" ill trundle out a few ideas. 1-Stop stupid double up riders in uk leagues if there is a clash of interests. 2-Like in Denmark have reduced number of riders per team 3-UK teams to have a maxium of 20 guests per season.If they cant run a full strenth team after that no match takes place. 4-Make riders commit to racing for just one team abroad. So there you go im thinking outside the box in ways best to get a settled team i want to follow,pick holes in that!! 3

Slightly off topic but does anyone know if other speedway countries have their own mgazines,either weekly or monthly? Does Speedway star translate or go to other speedway countries?Thanks in advance

Mick Horton says on the podcast,that hes gonna give his sponsors that were there tonight a free meeting in the future as they didnt get value for money,i feel Mick should go the whole way and say to the fans that did turn up will get a free meeting also.It will be good PR,and wont cost that much as very few fans were there,but its his gesture that counts,and will get a few fans back the next time plus a few more as they have seen him offer this "goodwill gesture" and think we will give speedway another try.Also it was a shame Christina turnbull didnt come down and give her advise as i still dont know what she looks like!!!!!.I have a image in my mind but i just wanted to see if i was correct!!!!

Mate ,the powers that be,arnt trying to solve the problem,infact they going the other way and welcoming guests because they have created this for themselves by allowing uk riders to double up,and not thinking about rider injury.Crazy,stupid,and a load of other words i wont type

I dont understand what mission you are on!!! One guest every now and again is just about bareable,but its getting so stupid now that you really cant defend the amount of guests and the reasons being used to use them. 1.guest for a rider, riding in another country for another of his teams!!(no limit to how many counties a rider can rid in!! 2 Guest for doubleling up riders in the uk who cant be in two places at once.CRAZY How do you explain that,when your making your own problem,its crazy

IN the lakeside programme there is a list of email addresses for each person who works at the club,which is a great idea but ive sent emails suggesting things in the past and only mr sexton has taken the trouble to reply.Jon cook NO replies!!.Ive emailed Jon a number of times with varoius suggestions one being a 13 Heat format,but also have a second half of the meeting that counts towards league points,ie a series of match races or another 4 heats that will keep the fans involved again right to the end if LEAGUE POINTS are again advailable in the second half of the meeting.It might be a crazy idea on my part but to have no feedback from mr cook is very frustrating. I have to say Mark sexton is very good with fans on varoius points ,but when it comes to league racing and people who might be able to change things like mr cook you get nothing back,thats why i think the latest reach out to fans after all these years is aload of rubbish.

love to know if anyone from re-run videos is reading this,who film right next to Barbara Horley in the refs box, if they were asked by the ref if she could look at the video or have seen therir own footage to clear who won hieat 2.To me if the ref never used the video replay to confirm her decision when the operater is sitting right next to her a few feet away in the same box!!! is 100% wrong and stupid

You never know whats going on in sports peoples minds,you just have to look at a few sports stars who have struggled when to the outside world they have everything going for them,but what i cant understand is there doesnt seem to be any support from people like Jon Cook at Lakeside who own his contract ,it just seems like Lewis has been left to his own self destruct measures,with only one way to go.He also has a young family to support,so maybe its just getting to much for him at this prescent time.

Can you imagine "the terror in Nikki P,s pit crew eyes" as Nikki breaks a chain at the start line and summons his 2nd bike IMMEDIATELY !! to the start line.Man it was a good job they were ready and Nikki won that heat,otherwise i dont know what would happened if Nikki got excluded under 2 mins!!!!! .The pit crew might have gone and hid somewhere until Nikki calmed down!!!!!

Even the Monster girls looked fed up and had their coates on as early as heat 1, ready to leave, thinking the meeting was going to be called off!!!!!

Can someone just clarify why the meeting was called off?

IS there a right to appeal? iF so like everything else in uk law Proctor can ride another 2 seasons before a decision is finally made!!!! Speedway is a sport,proctor cant go round expecting people to give him a position,then the betting authority will be on to him!!! for race fixing.My own view is that Proctor is unlucky to be caught up in all this,hes trying to do a job for his team,he doesnt want to be thinking every race hes got to do this and that to get a work visa,he just wants to race.All these people saying he shouldnt go in heat 15 away from home or do this and that on track are kidding themselves.He just wants to race,earn money and do the best for his team,there shouldnt be added pressure put on him or team mates to do anything other then race.end of.

How Rory s is even allowed to compete for us is just a joke,what about Lewis Kerr or even Roynon for example.Germany gave a place to a rider that races in Germany only,why not give Kerr or Roynon a place,its far better to have them in the team gaining ex,rather then making fools of ourselves with who turned up .Gino M came in to the usa side for ex and did have a couple of good races,so why not ask Ker who has ability or Roynon who has shown ability to race for their country.

Good post,as it stands at the moment no probs with the drizzle,but hows the track going to be pRepared.?I dont mind going but what sort of meeting are they going to put on?
