Kings Lynn stars v Ipswich witches 5th Aug

Easy win for Ipswich. R/R for Lambert is very poor and it leads me to suspect Buster is allowing one of his other Cubs 4 easy points to pretend there’s no favouritism. -

Sidney is a little lacking in speedway knowledge. His post is from someone who really doesn’t have much of a clue about the sport. To think we are outsiders is frankly hilarious. Without looking I am guessing we are favourites again. And getting stronger. -

And Brady beat Zmarzlik twice this evening on Zmarzliks home track. -
Clash of the top 2 at Wimborne Road on Thursday night. A big crowd will no doubt be in attendance to witness what should be a close thrill contest played out on the now excellent Poole track. With Brady and Nico back Poole are not far off full strength while Ipswich are at full strength. This meeting could well decide who finishes top of the pile before the playoffs start next month. Thoughts?

Great meeting. What we don’t want is a final where Kolodziej gates and is gone. -

Another great race with helium going through a wocking huge gap. -

Holder at his best was a joy to watch. Easily as good as these guys when he won the series. Hancock, like Hampel, I agree. -

Emil given a free run there. What a brilliant GP. Impossible to call this one. -

Terrible error from Madsen trying to go inside Zmarzlik. Let a gaping outside run from Emil. Fantastic racing! -

Both no good. Would struggle to understand a word Havvy says. Norris not the right bloke either as he hasn’t been involved in the sport for years. -

Brilliant meeting so far. Why did Emil stick to the inside? Possibly he hasn’t got enough tactical speedway brain? -

Madsen on fire! Brilliant stuff from the Dane and clearly not popular amongst the Poles in attendance. -

Agree with Arthur there needs to be an extra rider with differing opinions. They just agree with other on everything. Put some spice in there with someone outspoken. This meeting has been great from heat one. Take not Belle Vue. Had to wait until heat 15 for a good race. -

Part and parcel of the sport. Poole went into the playoffs without Ward and lost. Couldn’t cover for him. -
Ipswich vs Belle Vue 1/8/19
Steve Shovlar replied to 89buttons's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Let’s be honest here. Ipswich have done very well this year and have surprised everyone, myself included. The form of Cameron Heeps, who has ripped up the form book and considerably increased his average is one of the main reasons Ipswich have done so well. They have strength in depth and easily the best two reserves in the league. KP at reserve is quite frankly ridiculous. However. The chinks are now showing. They have been ripped a new one at home by Poole, then scrapped home against Wolves and Belle Vue. Where they were clear at the top, they are now barely hanging onto Pirates shirt tails. Poole now have a meeting in hand and next weeks top of the table clash is going to be paramount in deciding who finishes top and gets the puck in the semis. With Poole starting to come back to full strength after a period where half the team were out of action, I struggle to see them beaten over two legs by Ipswich. Is it time for changes at Ipswich to bolster their championship ambitions? -

As FB has said Richie is worth more than 5 at home. The way it’s looking he won’t be replaced. Can’t be that far off a return. -

After the injury issues the team are now starting to flourish. Brady now back and scoring well, Holder improving, Nivcolai and Josh a solid scoring engine room. Nico needs to get over his injury which held him back last night. Ricky starting to try outside runs. Beginning to look very good again. Only 5 points picked up from Richie’s spot. He can do better than that. The top two clash next Thursday at Wimborne Road. Looking forward to it.
