  1. Set the price at £25. Give the club some extra cash to keep it on a firm footing. It’s the final no one would moan about paying a bit more.

  3. Morris at Poole is ok if he gates. Had a good meeting in the A fixture, and then scored a paltry 6 from 4 in the B. Hopefully it will be his form in the A fixture which he brings along on Monday. A real shame we are not full strength though.
  4. We are also coming up and it’s the absolute worst of journeys. Certainly worth leaving no later than mid day as you never know what delays will be on route. Even worse coming back as half the roads are normally closed for maintainance adding at least a further hour on the trip. Guess we will float back if we win but it will feel twice as far if we are defeated. There’s very little to do in Kings Lynn when you get there. Has a quay but little in the way of tourism. The town isn’t worth a visit. I tend to head to the retail park off the big roundabout for something to eat before heading into the stadium. There’s a Pizza Hut there which is better than the stadium cafe/outlet. In the past Poole fans tend to congregate on the first bend. A decent view and you can see into the pits.
  5. So Poole fans, what type of lead do we need to take to Kings Lynn and defend? Will 8 points be enough? 10? 16? We only lost there by 2 in the A fixture but the Kings Lynn lineup has changed with Garrity out and Riss in, which strengthened them considerably, allowing Toft to reserve. Poole are the same 1-7 but have a different riding order and of course no Brady. In the B fixture Kings Lynn won at a canter 58-32. The reason why Kings Lynn are such one sided favourites for the title? I think we will need at least 12 to give ourselves a chance. Any less than that and we could be all square before we have got ourselves dialled into the track. Our main problem is Kings Lynn have a much stronger 1 and 5. Lambert and Iversen v Harris and ? Is a big problem in 13 and 15. And Toft at reserve can have 7 rides which is a big advantage.
  6. He has been completely sussed out by many on here and now has a tantrum when someone calls him out. It’s as simple as that.
  7. Doyle gave the game away coming off the second bend of the last lap. He looked over his right shoulder, saw Bomber and moved out, closing the door for an outside run. Bomber must have seen him look, knew the outside was no go and charged underneath, catching Doyle out. Superb move.
  8. And Kyle Newman passed Woffinden in The playoffs 2 years ago scoring about 18. In Gavans world that would mean Wolves wouldn’t have missed Tai if they could have used Kyle as a guest!
  9. Absolute, utter guff as usual. I bet you would struggle to find a single Poole fan who believes Ellis is likely to score more than Brady at Poole. You are giving Poole fans a good laugh at your expense though.
  10. Of course he doesn’t. Anyone with a speedway brain knows Adam doesn’t make us stronger. Only one person typed that crap and he actually doesn’t really believe it himself either.
  11. Oh dear your argument was blown out of the water. You clearly know nothing about betting. Suggest you take up a better hobby or you will be broke. Up the pirates!
  12. Of course I am not throwing the towel in. We are “The Mighty” Poole Pirates and we will never give up. But there’s no denying the odds are against us.
  13. Surely not? Gavan said the only reason that Kings Lynn were favourites was because they were virtually through to the final and Poole v Somerset was on a knife edge. He said I knew nothing about betting. Just looked at the odds. Kings Lynn are 8/15 on and Poole 7/4 against. Kings Lynn are massive favourites with the bookies. Clearly Gavan knows Jack 5hit about betting.
  14. A couple of posts I totally agree with. Gavan acts passive aggresive so that people are conned into thinking he just has an honest opinion, when what he is really doing is trolling the Poole threads in a vindictive manner. Very weird for a so called fan of a club not even in the same league as Poole! Clearly he is envious of Poole’s continued success and has to slag us off at every opportunity. His limited knowledge of the sport shows through loud and clear for everyone to see when he thinks Poole are strengthened with r/r for Brady. Utterly ridiculous and guff of course and he knows it, but attempts to defend that by bringing up Bradys last few meetings. Anyone with any knowledge of the sports knows we are quite severely weaked without Kurtz. What us Poole fans hope will happen is that we can win the league this year. Then we can ask Gavan to congratulate Poole on our continued success. Let’s see if he is man enough to do it.
  15. To actually have the audacity to say we are stronger without Brady shows a complete lack of speedway knowledge.
  16. Of course it is. After the start we had making the final is an absolute success. No team can start the season and say anything other than a title is failure. To make the final is a remarkable and fantastic acheivement. Nothing can take that away and the fans are proud of the team. We were going into the final as underdogs and now even more so with the loss of Brady but you can be sure the remaining six will give it everything they have got to bring the title of Champions to Poole.
