  1. I for one was pleased Hans was omitted from this years lineup. Too often he was a journeyman last season. Sure it looked like a mistake when CH couldn’t ride but it was the right call imo.
  2. Lynn are a poor team. If you can’t beat them you don’t deserve to be in the playoffs.
  3. Looking forward to our visit on the 27th. Swindon come to us on the 22nd and have got lucky as we are missing Klindt and Jakobsen. Gives them a good chance.
  4. Very sad news to read. Bob on his tractor trying to get the track set up just right for his guys. If there was a broken tape or unsatisfactory start he was out on it. A real charactor. R.I.P. Bob.
  5. A shame a few Poole fans can’t keep their gobs shut at times. Caused problems for the club.
  6. The problem today was that Lambert refused to ride for his country, deciding he would rather have a holiday, and Rosco chose the wrong Worrall. Why choose an out of form rusty one when Richie is banging in the points? Made no sense.
  7. But the riders brought in have current averages, nothing to do with what they have at the start of the season! You are trying to score a point which is false.
  8. But that wasn’t the average he came in on as his average dropped this season before he was signed up. His average was current. Like saying Morris is being dropped at Swindon and we bring him in. Then you quote his average from the end of last season!
  9. Doesn’t work like that. Only a few riders have the ability to make passes. Lambert, Harris, etc. Most just can’t get by, hence follow the leader.
  10. I want to see another hammering. Points for and against could come into play for who finishes top.
  11. A rare meeting on a Thursday for Pirates next week as we take on Leicester in the Prem B fixture. Another big crowd expected at Wimborne Road as the new look Lions team come along looking for a win to keep their season going. Will they come away from Poole with the bounty? Not an ice cream in hells chance! Another big win for Pirates in my opinion to send the crowd home very happy and increase our chances of a playoff berth at the end of the season. Andersen and Nicholls should provide some good entertainment as both ride the track very well, but where’s the support coming from? 56-34ish. Thoughts?
  12. Sounds exactly like Poole and Belle Vue, though all tracks have a home advantage.
  13. Poole’s track when in good shape, as it is now, is second only to Belle Vue. I have been to all tracks many times. The shape of the Poole track is good, there is passing off every bend and its fast racing. The Belle Vue track is excellent and new with great design. A shame the idiot who planted out Leicesters track got it so wrong. Kings Lynns track used to be decent but has gone completely to the dogs. Nearly always gate and go bar Lamberts blasts. Swindons is dire gate and go. Somerset can be decent at times but often very average. Wolverhamptons toy trick track is bloody awful. Yes I am aware it’s down to personal taste but for people who haven’t seen the Poole track after it’s upgrade, they are just haters for the sake of hating.
  14. His opinion is his and in the minority. Most are saying the Poole track is in very good shape, as witnessed by the big crowd there on Wednesday night.
  15. Were you there John? The Poole track was excellent. Don’t listen to two bummed off bad loser riders who had their arses whopped. Oh hang on, just noticed you are a Kings Lynn fan. Explains everything!
  16. Take your blinkers off. You were not there. The track was in excellent shape. Highly praised by the Poole riders during and after the meeting at the press conference. Having seen the Poole track at the start of the season before it was relaid, there’s no comparison. It’s been getting better every week. Was very good last week and even better on Wednesday. Fast, smooth, lots of passing, no dust at all. Great track prep. Big well done to the track staff for giving us a proper racing strip that allows plenty of passing. The Poole track has always been a great race strip. Wasn’t so great last season and at the start of this but with the relay and new shale has come together to give us fans a treat.
  17. Agree. Season is a thriller. Shame about Rye and things need to be sorted this winter but any team can win this season, except perhaps Leicester.
  18. Lambert and Iversen both came accross as very sore losers. Iversen moaning about the track was farcical when it was there to see how good it was. It’s like he had his lines worked out before arriving at the stadium and forgot to alter them afterwards. Tried to back track after a nights sleep but too little too late.
  19. From what I saw of Kings Lynn last night this should be a breeze for Belle Vue.
  20. Never heard such a posse of bad losers such as the Kings Lynn fans on here. Just can’t accept they had their arses whopped. So try and find some tiny thing like a little spilt oil to cover their teams humiliation. Real fans would have stood up and told their two “star riders” to shut it and take the whopping like proper sportsmen rather than coming over as sad losers throwing pathetic tantrums in public. The track was excellent last night. Racing was top notch and Poole dished out one hell of a beating. What’s not to like?
  21. Saw a proper speedway meeting on a racers track last night. Not the gate and go garbage served up as an excuse for speedway from Saddlebow. Perhaps Buster should get in touch with the Poole track curators on how how to produce a track that produces passing, rather than the gate and go from Lynn. BT need to get down to Wimborne Road, and quick!
