  1. Like Kurtz, I don’t think he has the killer instinct and will end up more a Schlein than a Holder or Doyle.
  2. And a few have been saying Fricke should be in next years GP series as a wild card. I don’t think so.
  3. Nothing wrong with the track other than it was a little slicker than usual. Josh stated at the press conference he was here yesterday that water was running over the third bend and it was spongy there and a little spongyness on bend one due to the heavy rain.
  4. Leicester, the whipping boys of the league, slaughter a very poor Belle Vue team tonight. Top 4 all but done and dusted.
  5. Wonder where DC2 is? He has been piping on all season taking the P out of Pirates. Looks like all that P taking has now come along and bitten him firmly on the arse. Top of the league with a meeting in hand over Swindon, who are here next Wednesday. Luckily for them we are two men down so have every chance of getting something out of the meeting. Next stop a week tonight and the Rebels v Pirates on BT.
  6. Just heard that Freddie Jackobsen buggered his clutch after 3 starts to heat 2. They tried to fix it but no good so changed it but he was up against Doyle and Holder in his third.... From Freddie himself.
  7. Well I thought we had blown it just before heat 13. But Pirates dug deep to get the win to put us top of the league baby! Admit the racing wasn’t up to the usual Wimborne Road standards but sods law when the meeting is on TV this happens. Not as good as the Kings Lynn demolision job a couple of weeks back but we had proper opposition tonight which kept it tense. Brady had a complete mare, along with Freddie. Both had their worst meetings of the season. We can and will only get better. A few decent heats played out in front of a decent if not packed crowd. I would imagine it will be double tonight when we meet again on bank holiday Monday. Someone posted that Pearson said it was a big crowd. Compared to other clubs tonights would have seemed big. Harris got motm but I would have given it to Josh for his best performance of the season. If Brady and Freddie had got their act in order it would have been a much bigger win but Somerset deserved their point tonight. Here’s the unedited press conference.
  8. Kurtz a disgrace tonight. Cant see anything but a Rebels win by 4. Fair play to them though.
  9. He comes up and chats every week. Friendly guy. Spoke to Kelvin. He said track is hard. Harris is one to watch. Crowd isn’t great.
  10. Just spoken to bomber and said Someone had posted on twitter he wasnt riding and it was r/r. He said whoever said that was a w@nker.
  11. If this is not true the mods should ban you off here for life.
  12. Why would a Poole victory be against the odds? We are favourites to win tonight and it would be disappointing to lose against Somerset, though not the end of the world.
  13. Stopped now. Just a shower. Lets hope they don’t spring up this afternoon.
  14. Somerset won here convincingly earlier this season. Just saying.....
  15. Let’s hope it doesn’t affect his riding because we will need all 7 to be on form tonight. As Poole is such a fair track with little in the way of home advantage, Somerset as a team all ride the track well. Our worry is if comes down to heats 13 and 15, with Holder and Doyle both capable of blasting away from the tapes for max points. We need to make sure BWD, Allen, Greebo and Summers have quiet nights. Covatti I expect to do well.
  16. I would put Milik, Jack Holder and Lambert before Fricke. I could well be wrong but don’t think Fricke is going to make the big step up. Guess we will know in the next few years.
  17. No. I don’t believe Fricke is anywhere near GP quality. Much better options out there.
  18. I will add that after both were read the riot act they have made up and get along ok. Something to do when they were at Peterborough.
