Are Poole’s team changes fair?
Steve Shovlar replied to DC2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
And Poole will always have many more titles, and make the most of being above us this season, in a few weeks time the picture will be very different. -

Not really sure what you expect Matt Ford to do. He only has one voice at the agm and is not on the mc. Do you expect him to throw some meetings to give others a chance? And most certainly the Poole team is not expensive looking at the riders. -

You mixed up your words DC. Surely you want Swindon to ascend to Pooles level, not descend. Though they are making a very good job of the latter recently. -

Like Swindon did with Musiliak. This whole thread has DC2 running scared written all over it. All the P taking he has been doing on every Poole thread looks like it’s going to come back and bite him on his jacksy, very hard. With the robins falling apart at the seams and losing how many away meetings on the bounce? It’s squeeky bum time in the Cook household. -

Utter guff. If the other promoters were as capable as Matt Ford the sport would be in a much more healthier position. But it is being continuously dragged down by promoters who don’t have any savvy whatsoever. You can blame those but would rather blame the one promoter who promotes and actually tries to raise the profile. -
Think Poole will breeze into the playoffs. We have two home meetings in hand.
-
Cough Musielak cough. Don’t forget you can’t combine two riders averages. You can only redeclare or change individual riders with another with a lower average.
-
Agree it’s wide open. Swindon are definately on the slide down unless a couple of changes are made. Somerset, Poole and Belle Vue are three of the 4 imo with the other up for grabs.

Only after the playoff final.

Eh? You have been calling for his head the last month!

No chance to complete with the weather radar. Unless they ride through heavy rain. -

You know what? I reckon the starter of this thread is starting to run scared. All this season he has been taking the P out of Poole’s average first half of the season. But in recent weeks the Poole team has started to show signs of good form. Topped off last week with an away win at Leicester. We are closing in on a playoff spot and the thread starter realises that Pirates are now a serious threat to the title. And his team’s form has plummeted with away defeat after away defeat. Harris coming onboard has perhaps given us a bit more. Not a lot by any means. But Swindon this season? Should I say it? Gl.....gl......gl....... -

Why would you take away Klindts haul? He is part of the team like the other 6 riders. -
All seven of course.
-
And they are welcome to.
-
Yep!

http://www.poolepirates.co/news/2018-07-12-bomber-pirate.html Not sure it will strengthen us to be honest. Harris best days are behind him and his form for Glasgow has been poor. Plus travelling from one end of the country to the other doesn’t help. guess time will tell.

The system here is fine. These are the rules and always have been for a long time. Poole don’t have a big hitter like Doyle at Somerset or Morris at Swindon. We have a team of 6-7 pointers and one at reserve. Klindt likes Liecester but I wouldn’t expect that at any other track. It’s completely fair. If we had gone to Liecester two weeks ago Woryna would have been at reserve and Liecester would have won.

You will have to do better than that. Now only two points off the playoffs, and have 2 home meetings in hand. Belle Vue have ridden more at home than away so we should start moving up the league and finish comfortably in the playoffs by the end of the regular season, providing we avoid injuries. The team is starting to gell. Narrow defeats followed by an away win. Looking up for the Pirates! -

Anyway although a terrible meeting, the Pirates finally starting to get our act together. The rest starting to look over their shoulder. Happy days! -

DC2’s been a bit quiet tonight. Perhaps he realises the game could be up? -

For all it’s issues recently, the Poole track is a very good racetrack and only behind Belle Vue for racing. Some say Somerset is good but every time I have been there it never lives up to much. Leicester on the other hand, well how can someone actually get it so so wrong?
