  1. Posted before the news broke of Vissing missing allowing the whole team to take a ride. Somerset so much faster out the starts. Into the first bend two bikes up on our boys. No consistency at all. Belle Vue will whop us next week if we turn up like this. But well done to the Rebels fully deserved.
  2. Well the source who told me will most certainly know. Very sad. Hope they can come back next season on a night they feel happy with.
  3. Sad to hear Rye have folded. All results expunged I guess. Sorry for the fans that did bother to turn up and the riders out of pocket.
  4. I believed Poole would have got through tonight had Vissing rode. The fact that everyone including the world champ can take a ride swings it completely. I struggle to believe Vissing would have scored a point this evening.
  5. Vissing has been bought in for one sole purpose. Not be available tomorrow at Poole so Doyle, Holder, greebo and bwd can take his rides ensuring Somerset get past Poole in the KO cup. A week or so after that his services will be dispensed with.
  6. I like Rosco. Always have. But Middlo is a far, far better manager.
  7. He should have had an extra ride in retrospect but I spoke on the phone during the meeting to Rob who Was there and he said Woryna wasn’t on it at all. That was until heat 14.
  8. Good point but could have been more. Yet again riders misfiring. This time Worrall and Linus.
  9. When Poole were there Howarth got a similar roller which everyone saw but the ref. It cost Poole the meeting.
  10. How is he second in the averages? edit. Just looked at current gs. So Vissing is riding in Denmark? Makes it game over over 2 legs now. Sign a rider on a high average knowing they can use Doyle and Holder. Then probably ditch him afterwards as job done. Vissing wouldn’t have got near a point on Wednesday. oh well just have to win the league instead.
  11. Richard Lawson, bwd and the reserves can take his rides. Makes them stronger though.
  12. Nothing to do with 2010. I took a break two years ago due to too much work and the forum was an unnecessary distraction. Wasn’t posting the year Pirates beat Belle Vue in the final.
  13. Thank you Lisa. My wife and I had 5 nights away. I was back on the forum the following week.
  14. Just lost 2 hours of my life wTching that. The fans in the area already knew it was crap looking at the turnout. Utter guff and to to it the gating tart wins off the inside. Time to bury this second rate comp.
  15. Can’t unfortunately make the trip up for this one. Was looking forward to it but curcumstances see me elsewhere. Expect Belle Vue to win but Pirates should keep them honest.
  16. Doubt those two will do much. I think we can do them and go through if the team is on it like against Lynn.
  17. No chance of Somerset beating us on the night. You can bookmark this and throw it at me for the rest of the season if they come away with a win.
  18. A while back. Don’t think Vissing has ever had a good meeting at Poole. Covatti and Allen will struggle to get near Woryna. If Spanner continues to improve they will find it hard. Doyle and Holder will need good backup from another rider.
  19. We have a good chance here if we ride like we did against Lynn. Brady won’t be as poor as at Somerset, and the rest of the team seem to be dialled except for Josh. I think we can pull back the deficit if we can go for it from the start rather than about heat 6. Woryna at reserve will need to be used quickly if another rider has a poor ride. He is now showing true form and can beat anyone. Riders like Lawson blow hot or very cold at Poole. Other than Doyle and Holder, we don’t have anything to be afraid of. And Doyle has a GP to think about.
  20. Middlo is the most successful living manager. His record speaks for itself. Long may he remain at Poole as manager.
  21. The ball is clearly in Wrights court. He is probably aware of what Gary May said last night and it’s clearly up to him to sort out a mess that he has caused. I heard last week that a certain Poole rider was pulled out of a heat at Wimborne Road and got the hump with Middlo when he was told. He had ridden poorly in his first two rides and was shocked when told he was being replaced. His response was to come out in his last ride and show what he hadn’t showed earlier. Middlo got the response he was looking for.
