  1. Who would have thunk it? Well done Leicester! Lasse Bjerre showing his brother how to do it! Belle Vue imploding at the wrong time!
  2. Well I had Rye House down to win this but they were extremely lucky to get a point in the end due to Lawsons two ef's. Well done Zummerzet!
  3. But what if Rye House play it smart? They could play the keep it close game and let Swindon get within a few points of them, in the knowledge they could turn it on much more when required? Rather be on the cautious side than end up like several of Swindon fans currently are, by being arrogant and over confident. They seem to think they are invincible. Remember pride comes before a fall.
  4. I can't see us getting anything out of this meeting. For us to get 4th we need Somerset to win tonight, us beat BV on Monday and then win at Kings Lynn. And that might not be enough. Bigger issue is will the Poole riders and fans make it to Rye House on time? We are talking good weather weekend, meaning hundreds of thousands of weekenders down to Dorset this weekend. And when will most return home? From mid day on Monday. Through the New Forest, M27, M3, M25. The exact same way ad Poole need to travel on Monday. Gridlock. Me and Rob coming up for this and leaving directly after the Poole v BV meeting so should be in front of the riders. If traffic is as expected its going to be tight.
  5. Stop being a prat for a minute. Rye had no KK who is now scoring maximums. No Doyle but Kennett covered well. Rye had Preist guesting at reserve. Now they have Robson. Swindon no longee have Ellis at reserve. Wilson Dean is not as potent. You really need to see what is happening now rather than look back on previous results. You have been picked up on this before but it seems you just don't learn. If Swindon pick Rye House in the semis it would be a huge unneeded and unnecessary gamble on Rosco's part.
  6. Currently Rye House are looking serious contenders against Swindon. Why would Swindon risk a potential banana skin in the semis? Far safer option going up against Belle Vue on a teack Swindon like than risk KK, Harris and Nicholls running amok at Rye.
  7. Hope its not a double header next week. I am hopefully coming up and don't want to watch KL v Rye. Why should travelling Poole fans have to fork out for a meeting when they will be travelling back? Rye fans can enter after the Poole meeting.
  8. If Swindon finish top I doubt they would pick Rye House in the semis. We will just have to wait and see but Rye could take a very healthy lead to Blunsdon for the second leg. I think Swindon would chose Belle Vue.
  9. Rye could win the whole thing never mind getting 4th, which is Rye Houses to lose. The change has made them from also rans to the possibility of becoming champions. Swindon won't go near Rye in the semis.
  10. Lol! Swindon fans are not worried about Rye, are they? IMO Swindon won't pick Rye House in the semi and go to Belle Vue. Rye will see off Wolves to give a Swindon v Rye House final.
  11. Matt Ford is known as the promoter who pays up the fastest in the league. He owes no money and has a very good reputation with the majority of riders. If it was the track why ride just as bad away from Poole? Clearly there was an issue in KK's head.
  12. Then why on earth post on a speedway forum if you have no interest? It makes no sense!
  13. Without me actually telling you my source, it is safe to say they are extremely close to the Somerset promotion. Lol!
  14. There is always a risk in a double header that the home team might lose a rider to injury in the first meeting. When the home team are racing two sides, normally it is possible to use an away rider from the first meeting as a guest. But when riding the same club twice, there's no chance of doing this. To go into a double header with only 6 riders adds to the risk. To lose a rider in the first meeting is very unlucky. To lose two is very unusual. Perhaps it had something to do with the track. Perhaps it was karma. But whatever it was, it brings the sport into disrepute. Offering a fiver off is an insult. Chapman should throw the doors open for the next meeting and invite everyone in for free.
  15. There surely is, in KK's head. Wish the rest of us were privvy.
  16. Why doesn't he refund people on the way out? Ticket stub for a fiver? Because he knows hundreds won't bother with the hassle. A completely and utterly self inflicted mess by the promoter.
  17. Perhaps that was the sting. Ride badly for Poole to half his average, get the boot, then sign for Rye and reveal the rider he should have been all season! Rye have done nothing wrong. KK though has acted very unprofessionally all season up until now, missing the gate by miles, moving over for opposition riders, making no effort to challenge for a pass and acting to everyone as though he didn't give a damn. He can congratulate himself that he almost single handedly wrecked Pooles season. Many of the anti Poole brigade of course will find that superb on KK's part. I guess the only good to come out of it other than for Rye fans picking up a number one on a sub six average, is that he will never ride for Poole again either as a team rider or guest. His lack of effort while riding for Poole was quite frankly disgraceful. With Rye now likely to make 4th, its a tough call for Swindon on where to go in the semis. KK now showing his true form makes Rye a potent force. Swindon to Belle Vue, Wolves to Rye?
  18. Went to a playoff meeting at Kings Lynn a few years ago. It was on Sky but delayed due to a dodgy track (deja vu?) I think we left after 11pm.
  19. The lads going to be a GP rider in the next few years. Super talent.
  20. If Rye House finish 4th, which is likely, Swindon might not fancy a trip there with KK finally doing what he should have done months ago. Perhaps they will chose Belle Vue.
