  1. Then the answer is simple. Get in early. Offer the contract. If refused by rider who is holding out for Poland, take away contract and rider misses out until a transfer window comes along on say, June. All teams have to be in place by Dec 31st. If a rider wants to gamble Poland will take him so be it but no perogative to Poland by bspa. These are just thoughts that would need clarity.
  2. This year, sure. But if you think Poole are doomed you are sadly mistaken. Form is temporary. Class is permanent. Simply because the opportunity to stick a knife in is a rare occurrence! Make the most of it.
  3. In the past, a jolly off to Tenerife in November was acceptable after a long season. Promoters let their hair dawn, if they had any, ti ckered a little with the rulez and it was job done. Today such methods don't work. With The British league a distant third behind Poland and Sweden, a November conference is next to useless. Time for thd conference to be brought forward, ideally in the SWC week, so that rules will be in place before Poland or Sweden. Team building can start in ernest, riders signed, rules made and a league structure in place. Whatever Poland do should be none of our concern. They can bring in any rule they wish but we should not kowtow to the whims of the Poles. We have more power in the UK than many on here give credit for. Poles playing hard ball? Don't sign any and use the berths for a young Brit. Poles trying to take Aussies that have learnt their trade in the UK? Solution. Sign them on five year contracts. The Poles will have to buy their contracts out. British teams get Polish money for their riders. Pretty sure a contract can be put in place to stop Polish clubs nicking riders that have been trained up in the UK only to head for the money and then be stopped from riding in the UK because of Polish rules. The British promoters have folded like a pack of cards to their Polish counterparts. No resistance whatsoever bar Matt Ford who told them to get stuffed. It's about time the BSPA stood up to be counted by putting in place rules and regs to stop Poland sucking the lifeblood out of our leagues. Thoughts?
  4. Hopefully any rain will stay away. Battle between Somerset and Rye for the final playoff spot. Think the Rebels will make 4th to meet Swindon. Good luck to them.
  5. Cook hasn't been charged with anything as of yet. If he is charged and found guilty it would no doubt be seson ending. Perhaps talks are going on behind the scenes to hush it up. Probably end up reported as a slight scuffle, a little misunderstanding and both parties shook hands. Cook to be warned about future conduct blar de blar de blar.
  6. Trackrat lives up to his name. Vermin.
  7. No. Just sick and tired of your puerile and banal posts. How old are you? 10?
  8. Grow up for gods sake. Bloody infantile rubbish.
  9. No but the second part of their name suits you.
  10. Interesting. Perhaps it never happened after all and was just rumour mongering on facebook/twitter.
  11. So has Cook been suspended in lieu of a ban and fine for allegedly punching an official at Peterborough?
  12. True enough. Accepted we were not going to get close this year weeks ago when KK clearly couldn't give a damn, then Klindt got injured followed by Brady. Our current lineup is very poor. Lahti doesn't have what it takes and is no replacement for Klindt at his best. Whilst KK should have been one of the biggest hitters in the league he couldn't be arsed until he was sacked. He bred apathy in the pits. Then when sacked thought he was hard done by and last night wanted to prove a point. Not once this season has he shown any effort before last night and his sorry arse should have been kicked out weeks ago but for the lack of top liners wanting to ride in the UK. End of the day Eddie Kennett is trying hard but to be number one is big boots. Couldn't fault his effort last night especially heat 14. As you say just suck it up and be there next week for the Wolves meeting. We have been blessed with some brilliant teams at Poole over the last 15 years and sometimes things go wrong. Not the end of the world and I am sure Matt Ford is already planning a team to challenge in 2018. New team sponsor already in place.
  13. Well not much to say about that. Team looked beaten on the track walk and it was confirmed in heat one when Barker blitzed the field. It shows just how bad Poole were tonight when riders like Barker, Wells and Robson looked like top flight heat leaders. These riders who normally score 4-6 points at Poole, suddenly looked like GP stars. Gone out of the gate and then pulled away. For more or less the whole meeting the Rye riders blitzed Poole out of the gate. It wasn't just one Rye rider but both. In the first 7 heats Rye gated in 5-1s 6 times. All very strange. Track was in very good condition. Nice and smooth. No excuses. As for KK. He rode like a donkey all season but tonight was slapping his helmet, beating himself up for the points. Let Poole down very badly all season but then seems to think there is a point to prove because Matt sacked his sorry arse. If he had ridden this season like that he wouldn't have been sacked. One very weird rider. But well done to Rye. They could only beat what is put in front of them and it couldn't have been easier tonight. I guess the blessing is we won't be the whipping boys in the playoffs. No point doing a team review. Kennett unlucky shepherding Shanes home in heat 14 for his bike to blow up on the final bend, and Hans bike to blow up in heat 15 when leading. Made no difference to the end result. Wolves next week. Four more easy points heading to the midlands.
  14. Starke withdrawn injured. Could be a long delay fence posts badly damaged. Or put us out of our misery and call it off now.
  15. Nasty crash with Starke on third bend KK. Now up. Exc. now a delay due to knackered airfence. Big crowd quite hostile towards riders who failed to come to the stand for bin fund collection. Brady came over and went back after 30 seconds. Watt interviewed with shouting from crowd to sign him up. Dont think ave manipulation as doubt Matt will tolerate this and most or all will be booted this winter.
  16. The track is good. Smooth and Rye have no problems at all. Faster by a bike length over the first 20 metres. And then just ride away.
  17. They certain are vocal and Robs gone. He said they were taking the p so why watch it?
  18. Every single heat bar one Rye gone out of the start. Never seen anything like it to be honest. Rdit. Not quire correct. Holdr gated in one but Barker was by in a flash, then Kennet was second for KK to charge under him.
  19. Out of the 7 heats so far run, in six Rye have been on a 5/1 going into bend one. Absolutely abysmal non effort from Poole riders.
  20. Of course he will, and as a Pirate in 2018 hopefully.
  21. That's what Holder thought of the track. Anyway I hope Noddy is back home at Poole next season. Always gives his best for the Pirates and would come in as second heat leader.
  22. So Holder gets punished three times? Banned for 28 days, sacked, banned for 9 months. All because Chapman put riders lives at risk by producing a dangerous track. Today I went paragliding at Monks Down near Blandford. There were about 15 of us. The older more skillful pilots looked at conditions, 14-18mph, and decided to wait fir the wind to mellow. The younger pilots with less experience started to set up and fly. One got blown into a tree, another got dragged through cowpats as his wing kited him along. Two hours later the more experienced took off with some reaching 3500 feet. One landed at Portland bill. What has this got to do with Holder? As possibly the most experienced rider, his knowledge and experience should have been listened to. Whilst the younger less experienced guys will go for it, that doesn't make it any safer for them and both Lambert and Huckenbeck both refused to ride. Why no action taken against them? Looks like Holder is being used as a scapegoat for the appalling track Buster Chapman served up.
  23. I dont do the daily star or social media. So what's allegedly happened?
