Lahti so far behind I could have sworn he stopped for a Costa. -
Who is talking about Michell Davey? Gater1? He is naming just about every rider that ever cocked a leg over a bike!

Those who think Matt Fords anger is wrong can think again. Fully justified imo. Last night the team should never have lost. Considring its Matt that pays the bills he has every right to tell certain riders what he thinks. Definately the right call. No good pussy footing about massaging egos. -

Lahti not up to the job. Was clueless last night and don't expect anything better tonight. -
From sgp site. Poole owner Matt Ford is ready to make a last-ditch dive into the transfer market today in a bid to save Pirates SGB Premiership season after admitting his current stars are just not good enough. Ford was left fuming after seeing his side slump to a fourth straight home defeat going down 45-44 against near neighbours Somerset. Despite 12 paid 14 points from Richie Worrall and victory for the GB ace in the last-heat decider, Danish star Hans Andersen was relegated to the back by Richard Lawson and Josh Grajczonek as Rebels sealed a famous win. Clubs have until Thursday night to make any final signings ahead of the play-offs in the autumn and Ford is ready to make a final attempt to strengthen the Dorset clubs flagging fortunes. YOU NEVER KNOW; SOMETIMES 24 HOURS CAN BE A LONG TIME IN SPEEDWAY. MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, SOMEONE WILL SEE OUR RESULT TONIGHT AND THINK HEY, I CAN DO A JOB FOR YOU. Matt Ford But with Polish Ekstraliga riders limited to competing in just two other leagues, he admits drafting in suitable replacements is proving a tough task. He said: Its difficult. Riders are stuck into contracts and its very difficult to get people to come and ride. To be honest, I dont know what weve got to lose. The cut-off date is Thursday night and I dont know if I can pull anything out of the hat by then. Ill have to see what Im doing tomorrow. If we get the option to bring in someone, even this late in the day, I may still do it. The problem is no-one wants to come. Theres no magic wand to be waved. No-one wants to come to British speedway. I can tell you I have spoken to them all. None of them want to come. But you never know; sometimes 24 hours can be a long time in speedway. Maybe, just maybe, someone will see our result tonight and think hey, I can do a job for you. Ford stepped in as Pirates team manager in place of the unavailable Neil Middleditch and didnt hold back in his assessment of another woeful performance from his side. Riders have expressed concerns about the Poole track in recent weeks. But with conditions appearing better on Wednesday night, Ford believes his stars only have themselves to blame. He said: I wish riders that keep getting beaten would stop making excuses about tracks; theyre just not good enough. Its as simple as that. Its laughable to keep hearing about track conditions. Its the same for both teams and they have been beaten by the team that are second from bottom. Theyre supposed to be superstars, some of them. If were to have any aspirations of making the play-offs I cant see it happening with this team if Im honest. They are killing us at the moment. Its unacceptable. What its doing is its making me realise that many of this septet will not be representing the club next year. If theyre getting beaten by others, I clearly need to sign those guys, not the ones I have riding for me. Were not good enough at the top and those guys have to accept it. They have to look at whos beating them. If Im wrong, tell me just show me on the track and win the races. Thats the only job I ask of a rider is to win races and score points. I do my job theyre paid quicker than any other team in speedway. If it was earlier in the season, they would be riding for their team places. But the truth is were stuck with many of them and thats it. Well just have to see where we go from here.

Poole this season don't have the top end firepower to trouble your top end. Matt tried to get in a rider which would have smashed the club record but his polish club demanded compensation should he get injured. We don't have riders capable of winning enough heats to cause a shock here. The team is gating very poorly and I think quite a few heats will be settled by the second bend tonight. But I will be there cheering the boys on regardless. -

Swindon fans and management all think tonight is a complete stroll in the park. Some think they will be disappointed if Swindon don't hit 60. Others are going to give it a miss because it will be so one sided. All Rosco has to do is open the gates and his team will score a sackload of 5-1s, romp the league, win both legs of the semi final and slaughter the other finalists. Thing is, it doesn't always go to plan. A lot of very cocksure Swindon fans on this thread. And sure your team should win tonight. But Kings Lynn and Wolves fans thought that two weeks ago. Nothing is certain. -

First of all well done to Somerset. They took advantage at the right time and won it in the final lap, due to Andersens refusal to go out wide in the dirt. On arrival the gates stayed close and rumours swept the queues that the meeting might be off. Finally the gates opened at 6.45 and we were met by a messed up track with work going on to scrape the dirt off. Piles of the stuff on the inside of the track. I thought the track staff did a very good job and racing started on time. Race times were slower by a couple of seconds but racing was reasonable given the conditions. It was clear pretty quickly that some facied it more than others. For Poole. Andersen battled but would not go out wide and this cost us the win in heat 15. We gated on a 5-1 but Andersen hugged the curb and allowed Lawson around him. A lap later Josh G followed but instead of switching to the outside Andersen continued to try and work back through by the curb. Never going to happen and a very poor ride. Worrall was excellent. Man of the meeting. Holder was very poor. Unlucky to be excluded when Allen was all over the place. Made a pass but clipped Allens front wheel. Allen looked out of control at the time. But poor from Holder regardless. Kennett had a decent debut. Two wins and a battling third. Lahti was crap. Starke rode well. Unfortunately tried to charge through and caused a stoppage in the same heat Holder had been excluded, which in the end cost us at least the draw. Shanes did his job. For Somerset Lawson probably had his best meeting at Poole, Josh G was very good value. Hougaard was rubbish. If he had been on form Somerset would have picked up 4 points tonight. The rest did their job. A poor poor defeat for Poole. We are better than this but tonight was one of those nights. Next week Belle Vue are in town so god help us! Lol! -

Track staff have done a great job. Track riding very well considering what it looked like at 6.45. Perhaps Kings Lynn would like to borrow our guys. Fixed our track in a couple of hours where Buster couldn't fix theirs in the best part of a day. -

Will be coming up for this but on this occassion I don't fancy our chances. We might have got something out of our away meetings this year but no Brady to back up hans leaves us very short of top end strength and hard to get heat winners. The failure of KK and Matt Ford finding it impossible to bring in a number one has left us wanting this season. 53-37 ish. -

Matt Ford told the Daily Echo: "The track is now so smooth that riders are finding it far too easy and there is no home track advantage. "Blades have been used to cut the top edge off the track, so now it is the easiest thing in the world to ride. You can just go flat out. "People had asked for us to do it and we did it and we have just taken our biggest home defeat in eight years. "We have our work cut out to beat anybody at home now." -

All drying up now. Forecast looks promising. A few showers might clip us but the track has had a good even watering and being overcast it should lead to a good track this evening. Interesting comments from Matt in todays echo about the tracking being smoothed out to take away the home advantage. -

Many Polish promoters would have watched him last night. They would be asking who is this "Booley". If he continues to improve contracts will start to be waived. -
Thought the interview on bt with Adams about him going on holiday was amateur hour. Why discuss a holiday? A manager having two weeks off in the season is not really something to broadcast. A better question would gave been to ask him why he thought the bv track was inconsistent. Looked ok to me.
