Has anyone made the link between Brandon Estates and Sandhu yet? Pretty obvious they are connected. I hope the council point blank refuse Brandon Estates any planning permission. Let them sit on Brandon for a decade or more.

You are completely obsessed with my posts! I can post anything on here and within an hour you will have answered saying the opposite! Completely and utterly obsessed! The man's the complete anti Poole troll and it shows with every post. How we Poole fans laugh at the ridiculous and completely humourless rants. Here's one for you to argue with. It's going to get dark tonight. Argue against that one! I would put money on it you will respond.

I think we have a chance. Swindon are overwhelming favourites but it's possible. Matt needs to organise a good practice session for next Monday afternoon and get the track nice and slick from the start of the meeting. Downside is we or anyone else will have no chance against Wolves on their tricky little track. Too much home advantage.

Just watched the meeting on delay and Roscos face summed it up. He must be a very worried man. Swindon were slaughtered at Rye House, and rather than bounce back, were again taken apart by a Wolves team who threw points away and didn't even bother to put Freddie out in heat 15. Such was their dominance they basically throttled back. Sure Doyle blew the t/r but both Greaves and Howarth hit the deck in scoring positions and if Lindgren had ridden heat 15 if would never have been a 2-4. Swindon fans fancy their chances next week against Poole, with some wondering how much of a lead the Robins will take to Blunsdon. With Poole now riding much better, I think Pirates have it in them to put a decent lead on the plate for the second leg. I saw nothing tonight to have us overly worried. Yes, Doyle could easily go through the card but we have riders capable of beating the rest. Swindon are clear favourites but we can shock the speedway world. Pirates have no chance against Wolves or Belle Vue but it would be a fantastic acheivement to make the final this season and judging how Swindon are riding, completely possible.

I would certainly ask him what went wrong, as I would any of the riders. Perhaps saying lack of effort was wrong wording, but there's a lack of something running through the whole team which was evident watching it. Our riders are better than how they performed on Saturday and questions need to be asked why they performed as they did. Adam has improved considerably this year but in nearly every race was off the pace, as were the others including Lambert who rides in Poland. Why? Hopefully the performance will be disected so that next time the team can do better.
-
Sorry Jonny but it seemed like the whole team caught a cold and not one of the team did themselves any justice at all. They were all off the pace with not one shining light amongst them. Heads were down. Pickering is not better than our boys but showed what he can do by being surrounded by the right attitude. Gating last then going out wide on the first bend left our rider 30 metres behind by the back straight. They did it time after time. The Danes sussed it out after starting as badly, why not our boys? We were very poor indeed.

Well Doyle choked big time this evening in the playoffs. 7 from 5 rides and no wins. Didn't even get picked for the last two races. Bring that form to Wimborne Road please and Pirates could have a healthy lead to take to Blunsdon.

Matt usually doesn't attend the agm.
-
If he (Bewley) has just bashed his bollocks he should be ok in a week or two. Bloody painfull though,
-
But. He has to give up grasstrack and ride Championship. No good just riding for Poole. He has come on leaps and bounds but his progress will slow as he puts grasstrack and longtrack first.
-
Errrr.....Wolves are current Champions.
-
Because Adams dad posted immediately after my post!

Charles Wright? Ellis Perks?

Since the history of the playoffs, has a team qualified who has lost 5 on the bounce at home, one with a scoreline of 30-60? Not that I can recall. 5 losses at home usually means bottom of the league. But the resilience of this Poole team has suprised everyone, and the reason they go into the playoffs as the complete underdogs, and the team neutrals will be supporting en masse. Poole Pirates. 'The Peoples Team". You can almost hear the roar, "Come on Pirates", from hundreds of thousands of lounges, parlours, sitting rooms and bars right now.
-
Well if you and Adam haven't heard then chances are it's not true.
-
Heard from a couple of sources that Adam Ellis has just become a Poole asset. Any truth in this? Jonny the spud?

Having given it some thought I believe the only chance Poole have of making the final is if Swindon pick us. With Fricke returning to the Belle Vue side and with Bewley at reserve, they are just too fast for us on their big track. We did get a draw there in the A fixture but were well beaten in the B and just didn't have the pace of their riders. Wolverhampton are too strong at home also and we won't get close enough to them. But our boys do ride Swindon reasonably well. It's our best chance of making the final. I don't believe for a minute that we can win the title this year unless luck runs our way but we could shock Swindon over two legs. They are without doubt overwhelming favourites to make the final but there's a chance. We have nothing to fear, there's no pressure on Poole whatsoever and we can just go for it. If we fail, well we have done well in the end to have made the playoffs with this team without a number one. Bring on those Robins!

We have nothing to fear from Swindon. That run of wins means nothing now. A great acheivement but its the past. The run ended spectacularly last night and Rosco must be concerned with a couple of his riders looking like they are running out of steam. Against that is a Poole team who have endured a torrid mid season where our form and confidence completely deserted us. We were at rock bottom and a championship side could have beaten us. But since that horrendous 30-60 defeat we have slowly but surely come together as a team. Confidence has grown week upon week. Middlo has shown why he is revered at Poole and the riders have reacted very well to his management. In the last few meetings we have seen the Poole fighting spirit resurface. At Kings Lynn we got the 4 points, then last night in a much tougher meeting and being 10 down, the team dug deep. As English Roundabout said in his meeting summary, the Poole team just all clicked together. Middlo probably got them all together and gave a now or never talk and the team reacted in a positively. On track it was a sight to see. As the season has panned out, Swindon fans believe the Robins will win both legs of the semi quite comfortably and are probably more concerned about who they will meet in the final. They have seen Pirates off without too much bother in league meetings, bar Poole getting at draw at Blunsdon. They won convincingly at Poole in the B fixture. What is there to be worried about?

Gavan. You stated Swindon would win at Rye House last night. Can you please explain then why they were thrashed out of sight? Really, you do continue to blow a gasket on the Poole threads. You say your family are so important to you so why not take them for a day out and spend less time erupting in anger on the Poole threads? Whilst we all find your posts funny it can do your health no good at all, unless this is the way you live your life. In which case stress will get the better of you and we will read on here you have had a heart attack. God knows how you will react if Poole somehow knock out Swindon! You need to chill out. This is actually given as freindly advice and not with any animosity. -

Sorry Grachan you can try and deflect but Swindon are clear favourites. And many of the Swindon fans want Rosco to pick Poole, so they can 'smash them' in both legs. Well I say, bring it on. Pirates have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
