  1. I believe Kacper Woryna is a far better rider than you are giving him credit for. He knows UK tracks, has had a superb breakthrough year and looks ready to the next step. A 6 point average next year for Poole would be a disaster in his eyes. Every bit as good as Musaliak if not better already. Without bigging him up too much I would expect 7+ if he remains injury free. Edit. Beat me to it FB.
  2. A very early start for the travelling Belle Vue fans who want to make the trip to Dorset on Bank Holiday Monday for 11 am. The good news for them is that the roads will be quiet that time of the morning so there shouldn't be any hold ups. A 5.30 am start should get them to Wimborne Road in good time. Poole's lineup order changes with Timo Lahti dropping to reserve. As he had his best meeting for Poole on Monday this could be good news. Starke moves up into the team. Lahti might be getting 6 or 7 rides depending on what situation Pirates find themselves in. It's a must win meeting for Poole to give themselves a chance of 4th. Defeat would most certainly end any chance of making the playoffs this season. Our form has improved after a dreadful period of defeats but this is going to be a very tough test. Belle Vue need the win to keep the pressure up on Swindon for top spot. Could be a close one. Thoughts?
  3. I gather Somerset asked Swindon for this to be re-arranged as 5 of their riders are missing. Swindon refused. Guess the reason for a free program is because you have to fill all the heats in yourself!
  4. Poole last season gave Wolves the second leg of the playoff semi as Monmore was not available for the first leg. If Swindon want the second leg of the final, then they will have to ask dogs to move. Or take the first leg. But of course they might not even make the final. They could lose out to Rye House or Poole in the semi.
  5. Considering I was sitting with Jason who was sending the updates, we both had the opinion that it was a very enjoyable evening with lots of good racing. Far superior to the dirge served up on TV last night. Perhaps you should venture down to support the team whose threads you spend so much time on.
  6. The second leg would be the away leg then, if Swindon make it.
  7. Doyle acted appallingly last night. Watching it back I couldn't believe he could act in such a way when he knew the cameras were on him. THJ was attempting to make a pass for his team on a very rough track when he lost control. For Doyle to do thd "loony sign" was both disrespectful to the rider and also arrogant. Does he expect opposition not to try? Doyle lost a lot of respect last night. And the two Swindon riders fist pumping each other in the pits after the result was awarded and THJ still laying on the track was also in poor taste. Kings Lynn should have got s point. Very poor tactics by the manager, who seemed more busy gassing to the old boy next to him than paying attention. Big crowd, pretty rubbish meeting with far too many stoppages.
  8. What part of "most" don't you understand? There's only one or two voices moaning about Middlo and his record is second to none. Adams? You can keep the passionless one thank you very much. Would rather see a manager show some enthusiasm. Watched Adams on tv and after a very exciting race where Lindgren came battling through the cameras panned to Adams...........and he didn't even raise a smile. No thanks.
  9. The scoreline doesn't reflect the actual meeting which was very enjoyable. Played out in front of a bigger than expected crowd Pirates put the past to bed for the time being with back to back wins and this one built on the confidence boosting win last week over Wolves. On a very good track the meeting had lots of battles and passing. Step forward Timo Lahti who finally brought his A game to the party and produced a very good performance in gating and passing. Rider of the night. But nearly the whole team were much improved. OK Leicester are the whipping boys of the league but a few weeks ago they could have run us close. For Poole: Brady was excellent. Holder back to his best. Lahti had his best performance for Poole. MOTM. Kennett started poorly on slow bikes but improved as the meeting went on. Andersen refused to leave the inside line for his forst 3 rides. Finally moved out in his last. Could have done better earlier on. Starke got a big elbow in his first and blew his second but got better. Shanes again had some great battles and beat his mate Newman. Good stuff. For Leicester: Nilsson was pretty woeful. Not fit? Riss flattered to deceive. Expected more. Bjerre gated twice. Got passed in his others. Tried hard. King was good value. Some good passing. Bates had a good opener but that was about it bar the odd point. Newman tried all night and had a big off in his last which he walked away from. So Poole still have a grip on 4th but need an away win to keep hold of it, or Swindon to win at Rye House. Whatever happens if Belle Vue win at Poole next Monday our chance of 4th will be blown out of the water.
  10. No s5it Sherlock! But surely we would rather make the playoffs than not? A failure of a season but still made the playoffs. Shows how high the bar is at Wimborne Road.
  11. Not at all. You said it was a boring pointless thread, so why comment and post? There's loads of threads on this forum which I find boring and pointless and I don't post on them, as I find them boring and pointless! Not sure why you have to take it the wrong way.
  12. Reads OK to me. Perhaps you would like me to say, "The engine Jack holder is using this afternoon in Torun is the dogs danglies. He should nick it off Hancock and bring it along to Poole for tomorrows meeting".
  13. We could do with Jack Holder having that engine he is using today in Poole tomorrow. He is ripping it up in Torun this afternoon.
  14. Chapman needs to apologise quickly Holder and Batchelor and beg them to come back, or this is going to be a massacre! Lol! Seriously, looks a one sided meeting not really worthy of the cameras being present. Hope I am wrong for those sitting on their sofas looking forward to a close meeting.
  15. And post after post from Gavan trolling the Poole threads on a one man crusade, this time to slag off Middlo, who most Pirate fans are more than happy with. If Gavan was a Poole fan and he was unhappy with Middlo it would have some credence, but as he is just doing his usual slag off anything Poole, (dressed up as pretend debate) it is meaningless.
  16. Nice chap can be clueless as a manager.Never forget Middlo was unavailable and he was in charge of Poole at Coventry for a K O Cup second leg several years ago. We had won the first leg by 22 points. In the second leg We lost Bjarne at about heat 7 to a broken wrist. Lynch made no changes and we lost the meeting by 24 points with three 5-1s in the last three heats. Complete, utter, inept managing.
  17. Then listen to your own advice, if you think it boring stay away!
  18. Quite simple. Knowing the club and its promotion well. The last time the team failed to perform was 2009. Poole fans know how the club works and Matt Ford has already started his team for 2018. You can be sure it will be a very good team that will challenge for honors. It's what Poole do, isn't it?
  19. Cook one win away from a GP place in 2018. Come on Cook. Bang it in.
  20. They havent called it off yet but seriously torrential rain. Looks like back at 6pm for an update.
