Remember several years ago when he had the whole team for breakfast around Blunsdon, including Leigh Adams from the back which was unheard of.

Simply because at any given opportunity Stevebrum like to state how crap KK is, how many times he has been 'sacked', and so I said I would prefer him over Lindgren who has passed his peak by two or three years. KK has been rock solid at Poole and is a decent replacement for Holder. Thre extra points in team building by using KK have given us a good edge.
-
You must be so happy then that you have got Freddie Lindgren, who has gone downhill over the last couple of years. Give me KK over Lindgren any day of the week. Not dissing Lindgren who has been a decent servant to Wolves but a flying KK is something to behold. The best visiting rider by the proverbial mile last season.

How many Poole fans show real dissatisfaction of the Poole team? Not many because most of the time Matt Ford does a tremendous job. The results speak for themselves and the team again looks powerful for next season. There are question marks over Kurtz. At times he was very good and at other times woeful. If he replaces his woeful meetings with decent scores it will be a good improvement. It was his first season in the top flight so know he knows the tracks I expect an improvement. Holder has a hell of a lot of ability and he should be pushing Kurtz all the way. Klindt as we all know is all over the place with his scoring. Double figures followed by 0,0,1. Needs consistency. And young Shanes who I have never seen ride is going to find it extremely tough to score any points at all. Can't be more honest than that. But when I look at other teams I have to say Poole look one of the best if not the best team named so far. Time will tell of course but if we can avoid the injuries that took away our chance last season I fancy us to be there or thereabouts. It was clear the change made a big difference. Anyone who can't see this just doesn't want to see it as it doesn't support their angle.

You don't have to tell me. I have my own opinion. You clearly think Wolverhampton are strong enough to win the title. With this lineup I personally don't think they will come close with this 1-7. It's about opinion, though I believe if you take out your emotional attachment to your club you would make a similar appraisal.
-
Nowt wrong with Arsene. Best manager in the league. No team stands head and shoulders but threet teams do stand out from the others. Kings Lynn, Rye House and Poole. Coventry and Wolves look similar. I can't judge BV or Leicester yet. I believe you have a solid top three, weak second strings and weaker reserves. The team started to shape up well and then fell apart. In inclusion of Skornicki could have been viewed as some type of masterstroke, but I believe its a wrong and silly decision. I like Adam and he has been a good servant to the EL but time moves on and with a season out will struggle. Just my opinion of course. The reserves are weak. Clegg will be OK at home but both will struggle away from Monmore. So that's my opinion. Not trying to be confrontational to Wolves fans but I look at other teams and see better lineups.

Get well soon Bryn. At least you can look at it positively. Better to be ill in the winter so you ain't missing any racing! Hope you get fit and well for the start of the season. Merry Chistmas.

Starman, Gavan, Gater1, your continuous bickering on this thread is making it impossible for the rest of us to talk about our club. Page after page of twit for tat childish arguments from the three of you it is extremely boring to the rest of us. No one cares that you don't like each other. We would just rather talk about speedway than read you lot calling each other names. You three are just as bad as each other so please the three of you, just stop the crap. You are wrecking what was once a decent place to visit. If you want to continue throwing insults at each other take it to personal messages. Thank you.

I think you are being generous to what looks like a mediocre lineup. They may make top four but I wouldn't bet my house on it. Three better teams already named. And Coventry look just as good if they run. Of course my opinion is based on the lineups at the start, and not at the end of July with Woffinden coming in in place of Masters.

By the sound of it the track is still the responsibility of Helmsley so terrible news. Means things won't change and it will remain the worst track in the country. A shame.
-
Pages and pages of banal crap. Can you people stop posting all this crap which blocks up every thread? Happy Christmas.

The track needs to be altered as a matter of urgency. Priority number one. Even if the team is not great, having a race track where passing actually happens rather than follow the rider in front, will give fans something to talk about and enjoy. Last time I was there I said I would never attend another meeting there if the track wasn't altered. My guess is, hundreds if that thousands have said the same. If Buster has the heavy plant to change the track shape, and his lease allows him to, then the cost shouldn't be prohibitive. A couple of low loaders to get the plant there, plus sorting drainage, plus the main thing, time. A call for volunteers to help should bring in enough labour. The room is there to put in a great shaped track. Go to it Buster!

I, like you, thought he was talking about Leicesters track, but it seems he was talking about Wimborne Road. If he saw no passing at two meetings at Poole he was extremely unlucky as we get passing in most heats. -
Good news for speedway with Leicester sorted. I hope their beleaguered fans rally round and turn out in force next season. Time to get the heavy machinery in and change the shape of that carbunkle of a track.
-
Really pleased with the Poole team for 2017. Great number one backed up by Hans, a solid middle order and second strings, plus what should be a good scoring reserve who will more than likely always get five rides. What's not to like? And if Shanes chips in with a point or two we have every chance of success in 2017. Shanes may well find the going tough and have a season like Lee Richardson did for us all those seasons ago. But the pressure on him will be whathe puts on himself.
-
I should imagine Chris will be in the Poole pits every week helping his brother, if he doesn't have any racing commitments. And with KK and a stronger second string/reserve, Poole are certainly not weaker than with Holder.
-
I bet his face was red with anger when Ipswich signed a "not improving Brit". Clearly Chris Louis thinks very differently to "Ipswich fan" Gavan. Or should Chris Louis provide proof to Gavan as wellabout Kyles year on year improvement? Poole fans can see it, Matt Ford can see it, Chris Louis can see it. But Gavan can't. A no nothing or just a Poole hating troll? or both?

Can you point me to where he says that? Think you should changes your name to bullsheeetBilly. -
No good talking sense to Gavan. He would never see it that way. Has to be Poole chocking rather than having to put out a team most EL teams would have seen off that night through missing riders. Still, anyone who thinks Newman isn't improving clearly has no knowledge of the rider or is simply a troll. I believe Gavan has and is both.
-
Quite. The signing of Woffinden made all the difference. And the injury to Andersen.
-
Any team in the top half of the table could have beaten Poole in the second leg of the semi. Were were a second heat leader missing.
-
It goes further than points scored on the track. As a world champion is raises the other team members scores up as well. I doubt very much Wolves would have won the league with Kylmakorpi remaining in the team.
-
As Matt Ford has stated economically Kurtz over Gomolski was a no brainer. Young Holder is going to the top in the sport. I have no doubt about it. Has made good progression year upon year. Going to be third heat leader no problem. With Klindt at reserve his gating alone should bring in a stack of points moving hi nto the team. The good news is that if he does struggle, Kyle will be at reserve and Klindt would then only get three rides with Kyle getting 5 or more if he replaces Shanes in one ride. Poole will always have a strong reserve.
-
They were until they swapped Kylmakorpi with Woffinden. The would never have won the league had that change not happened. This year they won't be able to do it as the rules have changed.
-
You are. But I am not either. They might get in the playoffs but the team isn't very good and three teams look definately better. Depends what Belle Vue and Leicester come up with before making a final judgement but Wolves look also rans. Just my opinion and nothing more.
