  1. Well done Greg Hancock. I had him written off several years ago but he has just got better like vintage wine.
  2. Probably would have been larger had Doyle been there. Looks empty though.
  3. Think you need to have an understanding on exchange rates and the fact that fuel is purchased in US Dollars. I am guessing by your understanding you voted for brexit.
  4. Holy crap I must have completely imagined that petrol has increased by at least 10p a litre since the brexit vote. Other countries fuel prices have nothing to do with what is happening right now in the UK. The price of fuel in Spain is neither here nor there.
  5. Because we are three times bigger than any other club.
  6. The pounds collapse against the dollar and euro is directly linked to the brexit vote. So you and other brexit voters are directly responsible for the recent and continued rise in fuel prices. Its a fact, not an opinion. Fuel is purchased in us dollars. The pound has fallen massively against the dollar. That equates to paying more at the pump. The recent hike in fuel and food prices will continue and more and more people will feel the pinch. I can sleep at night knowing I didn't help cause this. Whilst I can swallow the fall of the pound better than someone who is on a basic wage who really will feel the pinch in the weeks, months and years to come, its still going to cost me 4 figures this year alone. I have already made changes to my business, working to build up more clients on the continent. No point now being paid in a currency that has lost a huge chunk of its value. I truly believe the brexit vote is going to have catastrophic consequences for the people of Britain.
  7. But the profits of any shares will be countered by the rise in prices of everything else. And only a fraction of the British public will have shares in any large amounts in Multi-national British companies to benefit. Shares in British companies which buy their components out of the UK are suffering already.
  8. Exactly! The brexit mob have voted for a huge reduction in their wage. Well done them.
  9. But it is Phil. I am hundreds out of pocket already, possibly more. Guess I will know the exact figure when next year when my accounts are done but expect it run run into 4 figures easily. I don't care about Britain making our own laws. Chances are we won't like some of them and the government will have no one to answer to. Migrants? Nothing will change. We won't be allowed to simply because the EU will have us over a barrel because of our need for decent trade deals. I don't see one single benefit of leaving the EU. The younger generation have been crapped on from a very great height by a bunch of middle aged white citizens 'who want their country back', but didn't realise the massive implications of voting out. These people have just voted for up to 25% chopped off their yearly salary. Well done them.
  10. Prices are already much higher since the vote. Want to go on holiday? Have a business trip abroad? Feel that pain. If anyone actually believes the British public are going to be better off after brexit, they are living in cloud cuckoo land.
  11. And so would have the country. There are no winners. The remainers have lost, the people who voted to leave have also lost. Not in the short or medium turn, but in the long term. We are already quite heavily out of pocket. And that's before Article 50 has been invoked. Every day we see prices rise. Every time I fill up I see fuel prices have risen. Food prices have risen. Inflation is starting to rear its ugly head. I should imagine every morning on awaking, brexit voters lie in bed thinking, "What the hell have I done"? They won't admit it publicly of course. No way. But the damage and carnage caused by these people, most without the slightest inkling at the time of how it was actually going to cost them, is now starting to bite them on the arse. But of course its 'worth it', to keep these migrants from Europe out of Britain and away from British jobs.
  12. What on earth was the point? Waste of time. Surely promoters know how a meeting is run so you could just write it down on a piece of paper.
  13. What a total shambles of a club Leicester are. And all down to one person who just wouldn't listen to any advice. How the hell did this guy manage to manipulate himself into the position of owner?
  14. Run it on a computer more like. Why would they actually run two behind closed doors meetings with riders who need paying? Surely if they did run these two meetings they would have been as challenges with a paying crowd.
  15. Sure. Of course its up to your promotion to have the sense to put out a team that he could afford. And that would be the balancing point. Teams could build to what they wanted, but a team like that would soon eat into a lottery win. So no promotion could afford that lineup. But think what crowds could be generated.
  16. Six man teams is a crap idea imo. What would be good is to ditch the points limit and let teams pick whatever teams they wish, with the criteria that the reserves are Brits under 25. Yadda yadda to people saying Poole would be riding against themselves.
  17. Why is the draft being axed great? It gave the chance and brought on British youngsters.
  18. If Milik comes to Poole for 2017 and the edr is being scrapped, he could start at second string with a 5 and a bit average. Ellis and Newman at reserve is a decent start. Jack Holder might be in a reserve berth if not. Holder 8.58 Holder 4.15 Andersen 7.15 Milik 5.17 KK 7.91 Newman 3.69 Ellis 4.00 40.65 Or we could use Kurtz and Gomolski in place of Milik and Ellis is he is recalled to Arena. That side could fit as well.
  19. Great to read Adam Ellis wants to return to Poole. I would have him in the team a flash.
  20. There has to be a list, not allocation, which would be unfair on riders.
  21. If the edr system is retained, then of course there has to be room for young up and coming riders like Bewley etc. there needs to be a list which includes these riders.
  22. And which of these will be replaced by Woffinden a couple of weeks before the playoffs next season?
  23. What point are you trying to make here? Individual riders should have their averages assesed by age? That seems fair! Not sure why you have brought two Poles who don't ride here into the argument. If its to show they have more ability its meaningless. Riders develop at different rates before levelling off. Look at Doyle for instance. 31 years old. 7 years ago when he was 24 would you have said he could have been world champion? Of course I am not saying Kyle could get that far but it shows just because there are younger riders in the gp series doesn't mean they can't be surpassed.
  24. This thread is hilarious. Some are saying Newman hasn't improved, but if he has it is marginal. But he hasn't improved as much as Starke, Bates etc and he should therefore have a 5+ average! I doubt there is a Poole fan out there, with the odd weird exception, who wouldn't want Kyle in the 2017 lineup. But if he hasn't improved why would we want him in the team? Lots of strange thinking here. Some say he should be in the top 5, but like someone else has said, averages dictate riding positions and Kyle is likely to be at reserve next season, especially so now that it seems edr is being dropped. Surely having a rider many non Poole fans think hasn't improved over the last three years, is detremental to Poole's 2017 title ambitions? I mean, he has gone backwards in the PL so why are non Poole fans bothered?
