The Pzms New Two Team Rule.
Steve Shovlar replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just came on to post this exact point. Holder, Doyle, Batchelor live in the UK and I know Holder has his own property in The New Forest. If they don't ride British EL they cannot base themselves in the UK as they have no reason to be here. I doubt they would want to go and live in Poland or a country where English is not the first language. Pretty sure the Aussies will be kicking off about this big time. -
Agreed. It was unfortunate we lost key riders at the most important time but in truth we were misfiring all season and never looked convincing. We have had a fabulous run which was always going to end sooner or later. The two teams in the final are worthy of being there. Disappointing we never made it but I am sure we will be there or thereabouts next year and one thing is for sure. Matt will always put out the best possible side he can.
-
I am so neutral the final doesn't actually thrill me. What I mean by that is if I preferred one of the teams I would be rooting for them which would make it more thrilling. Perhaps an ex Pirate or a rider I always admired. As it is the finals are getting close but not in the way of excitement coursing through my bones. Perhaps the ref will want to be centre of attention like at Wolves, which will help me root for the wronged team. And I mean that with no disrespect to either Wolves or Belle Vue who are without doubt worthy finalists. I hope the racing served up is good. The two tracks couldn't be more different. Lets hope it all comes down to the final bend of heat 15 at Belle Vue. Now that would get my pulses going.

A rider can demand double his usual wages to cover for loss of earnings elsewhere. If the employer isn't prepared to cover the shortfall what then? Either back down and allow rider to ride where he wants, or lose services of said rider. Top polish clubs dont want to lose their star riders. Doyle has already signed contracts in Sweden and UK, so what then? Not honor a contract in the uk when he lives here? If the pzm dont back down it will cause carnage here, Denmark and other smaller leagues. And what happens if they come after a rising British rider? Do we lose them out of our league if they also ride in Sweden? -

Speedway riders are self employed. They are not the same as footballers who are employed by their club. Speedway riders rent their services the same as a window cleaner has a contract to clean the windows of an office block every week. The office block cant demand the window cleaner only cleans their windows because he might fall off his ladder and break his leg doing the bakers down the road. By demanding this the pzm are limiting the amount if money a self employed rider can earn. All the riders have to do is say no. Together. If enough do so the pzm will have no choice but to back down. They wont want 10-15 of the biggest names missing. -
Kyle Newman. Take A Bow.
Steve Shovlar replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Perhaps he feels safer in the EL racing riders who are just that bit safer on a bike and although harder less risk of being ploughed into by an out of control novice? Or perhaps he raises his game to 110% for his home town club. -
We want Kyle at reserve at the start of next season no way up in the team. Garrity wrecked Coventry with that demand. Holder and Matt have been at each other since last winter. A change of scenery is perhaps likely which would be a shame as Holder has been a fantastic number one for us for years. Wouldn't consider Magic for next year. Been dreadful in 2016 and hasn't improved after being dropped for the swc. The move away from the el has seen his form drop.

Kyle Newman. Take A Bow.

Why? He is number 7 in the averages for Poole. Ellis and Newman two lowest averages. -
Matt Ford should definately try to buy Adam Ellis's contract to make him a Poole asset. Both he and Kyle should be nailed on for next year. Hans was given a two year deal but Matt has made a couple of stipulations for 2017. Have to wait and see there. Its no secret Matt and Chris Holder havent been good mates for a while but perhaps they can bury the hatchet and try and have a decent working relationship. Rumours of the return of Milik for next season would be great if true. 5.67 average should be surpassed. Bye bye to Buckowski. Lost his edge half way through the season and suprised he wasn't replaced tbh. No thanks to Batchelor regardless of his average. Thing is, at the moment the PZM are trying to stop riders in the extraleague from riding in both Sweden abd the UK. Riders will have to stand up to this otherwise we won't see any top riders innthe el, so naming riders who ride in Poland and Sweden already is a waste of time.

Lets be honest here. This tie was over the moment Middlo posted on twitter that Lindback was out. R/r was never going to cover and proved to be the case with 2 points coming from the 4 rides. Considering Lindback rides Monmore very well it was a huge loss. Bjarnes injury also added to the problems. Whilst he is nowhere near fast enough on the bigger tracks, he is a quick gater and speed is not required at Monmore. The meagre points score from Tungate I feel would have been bettered by Bjarne. What it left was a gaping hole in the middle of the team at the worst possible time, which was impossible to cover. With Kurtz and Buz completely useless, and Tungate reverting to his usual el form, we were effectively a team of two reserves and a number one who hates the place. We were always going to run out of riders at the end and so it proved. Didn't help when the ref wanted a bit of fame to make a pretty disgraceful call when PK overlocked, and in heat 15 (when it was all over anyway) not to put all four back. Poole were never going to make the final with the 6 riders they were forced to turn up with. Andersens injury really brought an end to our challenge this year. (13 last visit) No sour grapes Wolves could only beat the opposition put in front of them but fate dictated a very weak Poole team last night at Monmore. Think Belle Vue at full strength will be a harder nut to crack.

The only way edr riders can get a fair average is to use their pl average. They can use their edr average as it would put all of them out of a team place. Kyles pl gs average is 6.31. If the conversion is 0.5, he is 3.16. How else can averages be worked out? Their pl average is not manipulated by easy el reserve rides. -

Riders affected by the PZM rule who ride EL. Zagar Hougaard Jonsson Nilsson Harris Iversen Batchelor Holder Andersen Lindgren Woffinden Fricke Thorsell Masters Doyle Wozniak -
So what the hell is going on? Why hasn't Horton come out and crushed the rumours? What are the rumours? No cryptic clues please just what has been heard. If there is silence from the promotion it only means bad news. The Coventry fans deserve better than this.

Riders are self employed. They rent themselves to their Polish club once a week. How they spend their other days is surely up to the riders. This new rule will wreck the el if riders dont stand up to it. -
So the Polish PZM are demanding riders only ride in two countries league maximum. Even though riders are self employed the pzm are demanding the can only ride polish league and one more. So if Doyle rides Poland he can ride Sweden but not UK. Every British EL club is affected. Who can this be legal? Seems to me riders need to stand together in unison and tell the pzm where they can stick their rule.

This lad seems to have a fair bir of stick thrown in his direction over the last year. A professional reserve with no interest in getting better. A rider who will never be anything. Reached his peak. Not as good as Garrity/Bates/sargeant etc etc etc. Yet Poole fans love him. And tonight he showed exactly why. A fantastic performance of effort and tenacity. Beating the world champ from the back and never giving up. Kyle had a life threatening injury this year but tonight he put in possibly his best performancd in a Pirates race jacket. Do Poole fans want him back in 2017? Hell yes! And looking at the PL GS averages he will come in on 3.16 Well done tonight Kyle.

Just have to say the PK/Ellis call was just a disgrace. Not one Wolves around us fan backed Pk. They all said he overlocked and Ellis then Clegg laid it down. I havent seen any replays but for the life of me I still can't fathom how Ellis was excluded. And in fifteen the ref was playing to the crowd. Shall I exclude him? Shall I not.......build up the tension......wait a little longer..... white light on big cheers. Two poor calls imo.

First of all well done to Wolves. Best team on the night and the only suprise was that it took them so long to finish us off, especially with a gaping hole in the middle of the team so large you could drive a bus through. Soon as it was announced Lindback was missing I knew we were stuffed. Two points from his rides sums it up. With Kurtz completely out of his depth, buck not having a clue and Tungate useless as a guest, we had no back up for our reserves. Holder showed his dislike for the track with a crap performance. A shame we couldn't put out a decent team but injuries finally caught up with us. A big well done to our reserves Ellis and Newman who never gave up. Newman rider of the night. Good luck to both Wolverhampton and Belle Vue in the final. I am completely neutral and couldn't care less who wins it now. Just hope its run by a ref who can make decisions based on what happens on track rather than who the home team is.
