  1. Yep. Really bad of Matt Ford and Poole to block Richard Hall from riding in the CL. How very dare they.
  2. You seem to think Poole caused Hans injury so they could bring in Lindback. Poole didn't want Hans to get injured. It was a Belle Vue rider that caused it and he is out for the season, or at least the next few weeks meaning he is out for the playoffs. Not Pooles fault. Tungate for bv and Harris for Wolves would probably do better than Antonio. So count your blessings Poole did the right thing and bought in an asset rather than use horses for courses guests. No. We are not doing the same. Bringing in Woffinden was a purely tactical move. Poole bringing in Lindback has been forced on them due to a season ending injury. Well done Poole on not using horses for courses guests.
  3. The rule was bought in to help clubs who have riders with season ending injuries. Poole lost the services of Piotr Pawlicki and couldn't replace him. They lost the services of Darcy Ward and couldn't replace him. Now they can it makes sense. Pretty sure late season injuries have affected other clubs as well. Its not 'doing a Wolverhampton' by bringing a world champion in and booting out a fit third heat leader. It is replacing a rider who is out for the season with a club asset. Better than going into the playoffs using guests, though we would be probably stronger by doing that.
  4. I would say all Poole fans ( with the exception of one or two oddballs) are absolutely delighted Matt Ford has got a decent replacement in. The alternative would have been horses for courses guests. Harris at Wolves, Tungate at Belle Vue if we make it that far. They would score just as much as Lindback, or probably even more.
  5. A voice of reason. End of the day the injury is genuine, occurred at Leicester, the riders season is over and we needed a replacement. Lindback fits and even better is a Poole asset. Interestingly when the news broke yesterday, it was also mentioned that Zmarzlik, Vaculik, Dudek and Laguta have all been given the same average as Lindback. So next season we could be seeing these riders starting in the uk, if a deal can be reached, on a 7.
  6. Trying what on? Andersen is out for the season so Poole need to get a replacement in. Who should they get in the list of riders that fit and are willing to ride? Common sense would say the best they can get. And even better Lindback is a Poole asset. No brainer. He can't he is out. Poole didn't decide Lindbacks average. MF is not on the MC. Irrespective of the rights and wrongs of Woffindens average, his signing demonstrates that Van Straaten stil nurtures this 'must win at all costs' mentality. Whether that's right of wrong is up to individuals to decide. Suffice to say that in my own view, the euphoria around his inclusion at this late stage by 'the gold rinse brigade' really does leave me somewhat gobsmacked. - Can you honestly feel any sense of achievement; bringing into your team a 'mercenary' that has not bothered riding for you for a couple of years; and has done nothing whatsoever throughout the 2016 to contribute towards your current position? - Does winning the league title really mean so much to you? Sadly, the answer to these two questions from the Midlands are probably 'Yes'. How very sad - not only from a speedway supporters' perspective; but possibly a sad indictment upon the values that you adopt in life generally. Nothing against Tai as he's an exciting rider. But any subsequent wins that you achieve with his recent inclusion would, for me anyway, have the depth of a grain of sand. Lol. Funny how we didn't read a post like this from you when Wolves chopped out Kylmakorpi for the world champion recently, after Woffinden ran out of meetings abroad. But your hatred of all things Poole goes back years. This is a sport. Of course we have a win at all costs mentality! In it to win it! There would be no point otherwise! And regardless of this injury to Hans and Antonio answering a call, Belle Vue are still favourites for the title and Poole will really struggle to make the final.
  7. It is a big one. If Matt Ford said Poole are going to ride second, what will Woves do? Wolves would not have been able to fulfill their obligations and therefore the semi would be over one leg only. Matt Ford to the rescue of Wolves. And people have called him a cheat? Wolves fans should be applauding his very sporting behaviour here. I know the Wolverhampton management are grateful to MF for helping them out of a big hole. As for bv signing a replacement, it was their rider that caused all this in the first place! The rules were changed so this could happen. Poole lost the services of Darcy Ward and Pawlicki just before the playoffs and were unable to properly cover for him, in one case gifting Swindon an easy final. Now sensibly the rules have changed allowing an injury replacement. They certainly are but Lindback is going to find it hard to be hitting the ground running. Hancock on his return wasn't banging in big scores. The rules were recently changed to allow injury replacement so teams didn't have to go into the playoffs weakened. Of dear there goes all the conspiracy theories. It was a genuine injury after all and Hans season is over. No cheating from Poole whatsoever leaving egg on all the Poole haters faces. Expect page after page of apologies now from the anti Poole brigade as Poole have not cheated at all but followed the rules in place.
  8. Matt Ford did not set the average for Lindback.
  9. The big one where your club asked the Poole promotion if they could go second or they were in trouble, because Monmore is not available next Wednesday.
  10. Wolves could not ride next Wednesday and the reason they asked Poole if they could ride the second leg. Matt Ford agreed to help out the midlands club.
  11. He said it is getting better daily but he could be three weeks away. That xray shows the bad damage. Hardy a tip of a finger. Andersen isn't a meek and mild guy who would say what he is told. Its pretty clear he is not fit to race in the playoffs and has confirmed it. If he was pissed he would say nothing. People like SteveO have screamed insults and made dicks of themselves but its all cleared up now with nothing left to see. Time to move on.
  12. Think you had better apologise to Poole speedway for your comments. Have you just read what Andersen has just posted?
  13. https://www.instagram.com/p/BKZD0b7gTS4/ Arguments all over.
  14. He will be back tomorrow morning with the same old crap.
  15. I don't think it changes anything to be honest. Lindback hasn't ridden Poole regularly for years. Be very good if he matches Hans scoring. As for Monmore, again its going to take him a couple of rides to feel his way around and Andersen is pretty decent around there. I Think it makes us weaker though some will disagree. And that might be that anyway. Wolves could muller us and our season over bar the Blue Ribband in October. Just as I said.
  16. No I don't think the Woffinden signing was right. It was in the rules but replacing a second string/third heat leader with a world champ was a joke. So logically, if that was ok, replacing Hans, a better rider than Kylmo, with Lindback, a lesser rider than Woffinden, should also be ok. Or is it just a but of the old dislike of Poole clouding your judgement?
  17. So replacing Kylmakorpi with the world champion is fine? You got double standards. Woffinden rode a season in a sulk for Wolves to get that average. A wc should be a 9.
  18. I posted earlier exactly what had happened with Lindback. I was told at the time that those other riders were also on the same average as Lindback. I didn't pursue questioning on this as it was going off tangent. Perhaps the bspa have decided that to coax quality riders back to the el they will make their averages low to help promotions try and bring them back in. But that is speculation on my behalf.
  19. If you think Woffinden for Kylmokorpi was ok, you can have no gripe whatsoever on Lindback for Andersen.
  20. It makes no difference if Hans rides or not. The changes has now taken place. Lindback is in and Hans is out for the rest of the el season. If he wishes to ride with his injury that would be soley down to him. He is still in with a shout of a podium so riders do do silly things when seeking personal glory and I will be hoping he has a great meeting if he chooses to ride. But league racing is different and it's not worth taking that risk. A wise and sensible move by Matt Ford and one nearly all, (with the exception of Chris4gavan) will appreciate.
  21. Dudek, Vaculik, Laguta and Zmarzlik are also on the same average as Lindback.
  22. We haven't signed a ringer like Wolverhampton, who brought in Woffinden and removed a fit rider simply to strengthen up. We brought in a replacement for an injured rider who Fricke of Belle Vue speared, obviously not intentionally, but nevertheless did, causing us to loose our heat leader. Simple as that. Webdidn't want to go into the playoffs with a rider carrying an injury so replaced him with one of our assets who hasn't ridden in the Uk for 9 seasons. Its a huge gamble and a big ask for the lad as he will have no track knowldge but he can only do his best for us and we can't ask any more than that.
