Congratulations Belle Vue - League Champions
Steve Shovlar replied to TheReturn's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thought I had dozed off on the sofa and woken up after the playoffs. No Belle Vue are not League Champions. They have won the right to choose who they are going to meet in the playoff semis. They have won nothing else......yet. -
Belle Vue V Poole Elb 12/09/16 Sky Meeting
Steve Shovlar replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Belle Vue will be wanting Swindon to get through, and as they have now finished top, can gift a point to Swindon meaning they will finish 4th. Unlucky the way it falls for Lakeside, but Belle Vue actually have the choice of Swindon or Lakeside in their hands. Give a point to Swindon, then elliminate The tricky trip to Lakeside. And I would put my house on that happening. -

Middlo said tonight the Hans season was done, so I take that as regardless of Hans riding on Saturday in the sec, his league season is over and a replacement coming in. Guess we will know on Wednesday. -

Zagar was third and wasn't going well. Holder was right on him and I doubt Zagar would have been able to keep Holder out on tonigts form. -
Belle Vue V Poole Elb 12/09/16 Sky Meeting

The problem was it took us half the meeting to get our setups out the start sorted, just like the A fixture, and by then Belle Vue had cleared off. Frustrating we lost it on an ef in heat 14 but we were our own worst enemy at times with Bjarne blocking Newman and being a road block in another. Agree. His form dipped several weeks ago and has not recovered. But to lose by only 3 at the league favourites gives us hope. Just have to get past Wolverhampton, which is not going to be easy at all. In fact I would go as far as saying whoever comes through the Wolves/Poole semi will win the league. -

We ride absolutely dreadfully tonight, and an ef in heat 14 costs us victory. So so close. We have nothing to fear from Belle Vue. Three riders off form and we still could have won this. The only problem is, Wolves are a totally different kettle of fish. -

Nothing to do with evening itself out. Poole could have won it in heat 15. Gutted. -

Christ almighty everyone can see the speed is out wide and Bjarne blocks Newman and makes it so easy for Jacobs. Major track racing blunders by Pedersen. -

Ref durno well done again on letting that roller go. You Are doing Poole proud yet again. And just like that Durno does not disappoint and pulls back when Newman does it. -

Ellis rode better on the bank holiday. Just not making starts. And that's why Bjarne is at reserve. No speed. -

Was hoping for a real ding dong meeting but Belle Vue are just killing us out the start and we are not getting a sniff. Not Belle Vue's fault they are slaughtering us. We are chasing shadows. Think its fair to say that the Belle Vue riders saying they have no home advantage is the biggest load of guff. Lol! -

It was a ridiculous comment. Would help if we could gate tonight. Shocking over the first 20 metres. Buck was crap on bank holiday, and crap tonight. -

Tai Woffinden. You should be attacking Wolverhampton, not Poole. -

That Gavan bloke really does make a fool of himself. In one posts he says Belle Vue are the biggest club, fans, track stadium etc, then in the next he says Manchester is not a speedway town! Then Poole are favourites and should win by ten. Talk about having no speedway knowledge. Either that or he is trolling. What is it? Perhaps its both. In the real world of normal people, hoping for a cracking Sky meeting whatever the result. Want the sport to be the winner. -
What the hell is up with this Rob McCaffery bloke? He needs to see a doctor and get some medication. I find it remarkable he sees something in my posts on this thread that isn't there. Last week I was able to see the TVP streams, and as the helpful chap I am I pointed people to the same stream I was watching on. Others said it was blocked, yet for me it was working. No idea how but perhaps it was just my service provider. Why on earth would I say differently, and was giving the score out the moment the heat finished. For the two extra league meetings I watched through Kodi. It was an excellent HD stream, like watching bbc hd. Someone else commented that they had the same stream and it was indeed hd. Yet this McCaffery bloke says I was lying? Wtf.. As a side note, I again watched the two extra league meetings yesterday on Kodi, but only in SD, as there seemed to be no HD stream available, and said so at the time. There really seems to be some type of anger management issues taking place here for really no reason whatsoever. I have never gone out of my way to have conversations, or even reply to his posts on these threads. All very strange.

It doesn't matter about people having other things to do today. If that was the case Old Trafford would be 3/4s empty as fans watch on Sky. The product served up at the NSS is excellent. The right promotion should be able to pack 'em in. If Glasgow can do it with Celtic and Rangers on their doorstep, so can Belle Vue. -

Steve Shovlar replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Of course it does. And perhaps that's why fans of other clubs are interested in the attendances of Belle Vue. There are not very pleasant rumours going around about the viability of the club. Not enough people coming through the turnstiles to pay the bills. We don't want to see the club fold or the stadium be reposessed by the council because the payments have not been met. Regardless of it being on Sky the crowd SHOULD be big. Its a top of the table clash with loads riding on it. If a big crowd doesn't come through the gate, is the sport viable in Manchester? Or is Belle Vue screaming out for new promoters with fresh ideas to get people to turn up? There's nothing wrong with the product, the racing is great. With a capacity of just 6000, it really shouldn't be difficult to get the place packed out with so many people in the Greater Manchester area.
