I am hearing the delays to building the new Swindon Stadium is because a "save The Backstraight Bogs" petition has been put to the council and English Heritage to make it a grade one listed building. The petition states that the smell is unreplaceable and that the green mould growing naturally in the urinals cannot be found anywhere else in the UK and needs to be protected just as rare orchids are. The British Flora and Fauna Society say the mould is only to be found here and have named it Blunsdonius Pisstarium. The legislation the group are trying to put into place will mean a delay or possible cancellation of the new stadium. When asked for a quite, team manager Alun Rossiter told the reporter to bog off.

It is ludicrous but it seems to make little odds as we still havent won away! Should keep both reserves at reserve BUT not so protected. Or, to second string only. The system in place means reserves get massive averages. Perhaps an average of -50% for reserves could be incorporated? Just a thought.

Thought it was a decent meeting with a few good heats. The track got terribly dusty towards the end with it billowing up over the clubhouse area. Heat 13 and I couldnt understand why Lawson was angry. Seemed a fair move to me. Heat 15 was excellent from Starke. Thought it was a nailed on 1-5 but he had other ideas and blitzed the two tigers. Great race. Have to say Wilson Dean was good as was Allen. Glasgow had no backup to their heat leaders and Barker was woeful. The reserves after heat two also were not at the races. Good crowd, met Paulco, and as usual great chips!

What size of crowd is expected for this gp? Big stadium!

The decision us a business call. Win afainst a patched up Poole side on the Thursday in front of 1000, or win against a full strength Poole team on a bank holiday in front of 2000. 1000 x £18 is £18,000 in the coffers.

Decided to slum it tonight and come along to this meeting (joke before anyone jumps on me) Should be a good meeting.

Doesn't make any odds. Swindon havent even had the luxury of practice on it. Looks like the BV team are not as strong as many have predicted. They should have won simply by being the better team. I said it a coulle of weeks ago that Swindon could be a serious team this year and so it seems to be. Well done to them.

Huge blunder on the rules to make reserves into heat leaders.They should move up to second strings only. Pretty sure that will be dealt with thisin the close season. Too late now for 2016.

Don't see why. No meeting on Wednesday so two week gap. Plus the return of Davey Watt will boost the attendance to see what he does. Will definately get a very big welcome back. Now he is in the team I will re-assess my prediction to 54-36ish.

Very pleased he has got fixed up quickly. He has been a constant player in the EL and doesnt deserve to be sitting on the sidelines waiting. Perhaps the time out has helped him gather his thoughts and he will come back strong and certainly strengthen Leicester. I wish him every success.

Well I am pleased the situation is resolved but still stand by my opinion that Cook as an EL heat leader should not be riding in the PL.

Newmans problem is his gating. He scores points from the back. If he could gate he would be a heat leader proper. Agree with you about Garrity racing wise. Dont know him to judge his temperament.

Newman rides better inthe tougher EL as his average clearly shows. He doesnt over ride like Garrity who locks up and brings riders off like last night. Newman is a much more accomplished rider and all that matters are his Poole scores. His PL average is only important for team building averages.

Track didnt allow a pass. Holder was throwing his bike at the leader in his second ride and couldnt get anything out of the track. Same for Lawson in another. As I said, not one single pass. Dont agree at all. Wolves was their biggest crowd in years last Monday. Pooles crowds are also good. Only certain clubs are struggling with fans refusing to go and doing their level best on here to bring their club down. Step forward several Coventry fans on here.

Eastbourne is 100 miles from Poole. Three hourse drive. In fact Coventry is faster to get to than Eastbourne from Poole. Coventry is just down the road from Leicester. Dont think they will have a choice if they wish to continue. Agree about the racing at Leicester though.

Just watched it with my cereal and have to say it was a far superior meeting inevery way compared to the rubbish served up at Leicester last night. Just a shame there was no one there to witness it. Seems the Coventry fand have deserted their club and they are just waiting for the bulldozers to come in. A shame really. But judging by the posts on here from Coventry fans many just dont seem to care. Outrageous decision by the ref in heat one. Garrity, over riding as usual and completely out of control, pulls a massive locker and Kylmakorpi was brilliant in laying it down rather than plow into the hapless Garrity. How the hell could the ref get that so wrong? Who was the ref? Had a mare. At least he got the Lindgren/ Harris decision correct. Good hard riding by Lindgren all night. The Masters fiasco was just plain ridiculous. Ref probably thought he wouldnt delay the meeting further with threat of rain but bad call. Saw more overtaking in one heat at Brandon last night than the whole of the meeting at Leicester. Just a shame Coventry fans have deserted their club.

In heat 15 Holder led and Hans cut back up the inside to join him. Updates is wrong. Gavan if you think Poole is the next worse track to Leicester you know nothing clearly about EL speedway. I visit every track in the EL and at Poole we are lucky to havd a track that allows passing on all four bends. I would say the new BV track could be the best, time will tell. Wolves has plenty of passing if you like small tracks. And Poole with flat out racing and loads of passing. Kings Lynn used to have good raing but all reports say its Poor now.
