  1. So you are saying Saifudinov is a traitor to his country. Salt mines here he comes!
  2. Makes no difference. This has absolutey nothing to do with either Poole or Coventry. If a rider is announced to ride for their country ( rather than in the case of Richardson and Team GB) then they should ride and the problem sorted out AFTER the meeting. Then, if funds are not forthcoming, announce they are not going to ride well before the next meeting. The other Russians are riding. What makes Saifudinov different to the other guys who put their country further up the list? BSI should ban him from the remainder of the GP series IMO.
  3. Gafurov had no meeting for Poole after Wednesday, the same as Saifudinov at Coventry, yet he lines up at Kings Lynn tonight and Saifudinov doesn't. Gafurov probably earns a fraction of what Saifudinov earns in a season yet makes the effort for the sport, his country, the BSI, the fans at the stadium and those watching at home. Shame on Saifudinov. Total disgrace with misplaced principles. But it looks like money is more important to him than anything else.
  4. There's clearly no excuse for Saifudinov to not ride. Not only is he sticking two fingers up at his own country and BSI but he is also doing it to every fan who turns up at Kings Lynn tonight expecting to see him ride. Totally unacceptable and a years ban from international speedway is the only way to deal with such riders. He has no excuse as he was in the country riding for Coventry. £30 of diesel should cover his travelling expenses. hasn't he got digs over here when riding for Coventry?
  5. So basically Sayfutdinov wants travelling expenses from Coventry to Kings Lynn. Perhaps a couple of Coventry fans can bung him a tenner each for the fuel. He is taking the P*ss out of UK fans who paid good money to watch this live.
  6. Justgot back from a quite brilliant GP. Thought the racing was top drawer and the overall presentation excellent. Great racing throughout the meeting and a final to get the chins wagging. Thought the POles were not really on the pace today and Gollob must be ruing his indecisiveness. Chopping and changing his bikes again is NOT the behaviour of someone who is confident enough to maintian his time at the top. As for the final, I was sitting middle tier just in front of the starting gate and Stevey Wonder would have seen Emils huge roller. Justice was served by him losing it under severe pressure from Holder, but Noddy failed to get away cleanly in the rerun and that was that. Biggest crowd I have ever seen at Cardiff. Don't know how it compared to ast year as I missed it but bigger than 2 years ago. Lots of Poles there but they soon fell silent. ONe thing that did suprise me was the amount of support Holder actually has there from neutrals. After Harris and Nicholls, Holder clearly the most popular rider there (after the Poles fell silent) judging by the crowds reaction to when his name was mentioned. His very likeable personality is clearly popular with the majority of fans who seem to like the way he behaves and goes about things. I for one hope he doesn't change. So a cracking GP with some good racing all the way through. Gate 1 was obviously a problem all night but other than that no real complaints. Well done to all.
  7. I am sure I can handle it. Always go to the POW and say hello and have a drink with the people I battle with on here. Some take it all too seriously but British GP day is for fun and banter.
  8. Heat 11 and not a single proper pass in anger. Awful.
  9. Well done to NOddy for another Aussie title. Poole 1,2,3 and great for the new season. Well done to Kyle Newman. Suprised me but by the sound of it fully dexserved to make the final.
  10. IMO what I have seen of Tai he is not GP material or close to it yet.
  11. I personally think Holder will be top 4/5 in 2011. Odds of around 12-16/1. Not ready to win it yet but give him 3 more seasons and he will be there or thereabouts. Certaily on a par with Emil. Kolodziej has very fast bikes. I expect him to suprise many and will be in in a few A finals. Saifutdinov will chalenge no doubt but again not ready to go the whole way yet. Out with the old and in with the new. the days of Crump and Gollob are waining. Nicki P hasn't got back his form of a few seasons ago. Hancock has done well to last so long but will be a shadow of what he was IMO. Hampel and Lindgren will be in the mix. I reckon we will have a first time World Champion in 2011. In a couple more years time we will see the old guard swept completely away. Ward will be in it as well to stir things up. Going to see some great GPs with Holder, Ward, Emil, Kolodziej and Lindgren battling it out, Shame there's no Brit on the horizon.
  12. Matt Ford rules himself out of any involvement at promoting Weymouth. http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/8672419.Speedway__Ford_rejects_a_Wildcats_offer/
  13. Both Darcy and Tomas are up for FIM awards at the forthcoming ceremony in Portugal. http://www.fim-live.com/en/fim-gala-ceremony/ Vote for them and enter a draw for a nice little prize. Lets get those votes in and show speedway has fans out there.
  14. Well hopefully all this will be sorted soon and the change of ownership will see the club prosper again.
  15. Who's this Old track spare then Phil? She sounds fun!
  16. So will wee see the USA team watching at Poole tomorrow night?
  17. Doesn't look like the stream bandwidth can cope with the amount of online viewers. Freezes every few seconds. Do you lot mind clearing off so I can watch it without the buffering please.
  18. He's been poor in POland simply becaus a jerk of a team manager who favours his Poles every time. Ward has won the U21 twice now. He can't be overlooked and is clearly a better rider than Woffinden, whom he should replace.
  19. Wooohooooo!!!!! Great practice for MOnday night. Now go rip the sting out of those Bees!
  20. Taken from the Bournemouth Echo. PIRATES chief Matt Ford has not ruled out a dramatic bid to buy Weymouth. Ford has revealed he is not one of three parties Phil Bartlett claims are interested in buying the ailing National League outfit. But the Wimborne Road supremo has not discounted making a later bid for Pirates’ Dorset neighbours. Wildcats chairman Bartlett has put the club up for sale and told our sister paper the Dorset Echo: “A deal is getting closer. “There are three parties very interested in taking it forward. “All three know what they are doing and are based within 30 to 40 miles of Weymouth.” Ford, who looks almost certain to pull the plug on his own third-tier team, Bournemouth, at the end of this term, appears to be an ideal candidate to run Wildcats alongside his Elite League Poole promotion. He said: “We are aware of the interested parties and would always be there to help anyone who takes Weymouth on. “We can only wait and see what happens about their future at the next British Speedway Promoters’ Association annual meeting. “I can definitely say it would be a crying shame for the sport to lose Weymouth.” Ford added: “We’d never rule ourselves, or one or two of the other parties, out of the equation. “It’s not easy running a speedway club. It can be a severe drain on the finances and takes a lot of time and commitment. “You can be the best businessman in the world and still not be able to run a speedway club. “Firstly, you must have an immense knowledge of speedway itself and how it runs to promote a club effectively and efficiently. “It’s been shown with Buccaneers in the past two years that you can be in a speedway town and still find it very hard to make ends meet.” Ford, aware Weymouth is also used as a training track, continued: “ There’s a chance we’ll be doing something ourselves in terms of training at Poole. “While it’s unlikely we’ll run Buccaneers next year, we won’t be withdrawing completely from developing young British talent. “It might not be in the National League. It might be on a training basis.” On a wider issue, Ford added: “I believe there will be one or two moves in the National League to make it a solely British-born or British passport holder league. “I think it’s not in the people’s interest it’s open to Commonwealth riders and believe there will be changes at the AGM. “Many people in British speedway are questioning the inclusion of Commonwealth riders.”
