  1. Wouldn't have given Lindgren another chance. Does very little at this level. Harris? Well I guess there has to be a token Brit.
  2. Wards inclusion tonight makes the GP worth watching. Without him it would just be a dead rubber. Be interesting to see how he does. No disrespect at Batch or any other rider but they are not in the same class as young Ward. If Batch wants to be picked he needs to commit to the qualifiers.
  3. Fabulous news though I hope he stays safe! Clearly ging to be in the series in 2012. He isn't going to turn it down when offered and is the hottest thing is speedway by the proverbial mile.
  4. I blame Matt Ford. He clearly has something to do with it.
  5. Big well done to Darky. First GP and not far off winning it. Certainly should be a wild card next year and will do well. Fairly average GP though with only a smattering of good races.
  6. The English language links don't seem to be working.
  7. If anyone finds a sky ( english) stream can they let us know.
  8. Because I find him a bit bland. I would have loved to have seen Lindback win his first GP but he will eventually. Glad to see his form is getting bck to where it was several years ago after a string of personal problems. Hancock should have it in the bag now.
  9. Disappointing that Jonsson won it but he rode very well in the semi and final so well done to him.
  10. Same ref who was at Poole for the U21 and held the tapes for an ge then. To not allow a rerun of Holders fourth heat was a disgrace to be honest. Off the worse gate and a bike down from the tapes in the space of 2 metres! No excuse to not rerun.
  11. I am struggling to believe you were actually there. Lots of good racing on a fairly deep track. Passing inside and out. In fact the track was about spot on and puts Brandon to shame, as you well know but would be loath to admit. Crowd was around 2500, as someone who was there, and has no bias, has already stated. Keep chomping on those sour grapes. Pawlicki wasn't up to the job.
  12. Watch it. You will be accussed by the coventry mafia on here of having Poole bias!
  13. The stadium holds approx 6500. Funny how it's the usual Covntry fans on here moaning. One clear reason. Pawlicki embarrassd himself with a massive tantrum in front of the main stand and couldn't stand the pressure of the event.
  14. CB252 makes me laugh. What a load of rubbish waffle. The meeting was far from dull. Some absolutely cracking races. Andersson and Pawlicki, ending in an hilarious tantrum from the Pole, and the superb battle between Ward and Andersson. What about the Dudek and other young Pole? What about Jensen and Piotr Pawlicki? What about Palicki snr coming from last to first, and Janowski doing the same? What about heat 20 and Ward going from last to first? Loads of dirt on a well prepared curcuit with passing on the inside and outside. Perhaps CB252 didn't notice Andersson's move up the inside of Pawlicki, the young Pole's move on Dudek, or Ward and Janowski's moves around the outside of other riders. Oh dear CB252 is being shown up. Even got where the airfence came from wrong. The crowd was around 2500. Grandstand full, busy in front of it and busy on the bends. Grandstand and resturant busy. Me thinks he drove back simmering with disappointment after Pawlicki croaked under the pressure of the day. Good track, good racing, good crowd, good result.
  15. Thought it was an entertaining meeting played out in front of a good crowd. The loss of Gustafsson made some heats very predictable near the end though. Agree that Zmarzlik was badly treated by the ref by excluding him. He made a clean pass and Dudek was caught on the hop and fell on his own. Some of the racing was top drawer though it was clear to see the gap in standards with the riders at the top to the youngsters at the other end. Suprise was Andersson who rode superbly all night to be joint leader after the first round. Janowski gave a good display and Darcy was Darcy. Thought he was soft on his team mate when they met and any other rider would not have been given the room to come back. Of the others, young Pawlicki was fast and smooth, Vaculik was very good on his first visit, MJJ was disappointing, expected much more. Hilarious moment of the meeting was when Shamek Pawlicki slid off under pressure from Andersson. Instead of jumping back on and gaining a point as there were only three riders, he pushed to the centre green, rolled around on the floor in a tantrum bashing his fist on his bike. If there had been a tree close by he would have ripped off a branch and hit his bike with it ala Cleese and Faulty Towers. Funny stuff.
  16. Well I have come on here and am quite suprised that some are realy raving about tonights meeting. Thought it was pretty average stuff myself with a couple of good heats thrown in amoungst the dross. Nothing more than that. Poland worthy winners as expected. Only thing I didn't expect was that Australia would do so well and run them up to the penultimate heat. Thought something was amiss though as for the first 8-9 heats Poland were off the pace then won by the length of a straight. Hope the machine examiner checks all bikes just to be sure nothing is untoward. Hopefully the final will be in the UK next year, or in Sweden. Be very unfair to have the Poles host the final again.
  17. Shocking but ultimately not unsuprising that a bus can be driven through the rule book. Makes the SWC a farce to be honest. Tai shuld have allowed Topinka second and it would probably have kncked the Russians out, deservedly so considering considering how Saifudinov treated the fans in the UK with such contempt. As for the meeting, it makes it more fun, but I hope that anyone other than the Russians makes the final.
  18. The rules are very clear. If a rider is declared to ride in the first round and fails to ride, for whatever reason other than being blocked from entering The UK or illness, then he will not be allowed to ride in the remainder of the SWC. The fact that Saifudinovs excuse is that he couldn't be arsed doesn't bode well for his chances of riding in the race off, regardless of the Russians annuncing him in their lineup. The Russians clearly don't know the rules and if vice president of the FIM sys he isn't allowed, then that is the case. (Unless the FIM don't follow through their own rules, which would make the sport a laughing stock)
  19. Who shall we believe? Phil Rising, editor of Speedway Star with a wealth of contacts, of KKS, in his bedroom with his source? Hmm difficult one.
  20. The biggest question to be asked is why on earth did we ride at Kings Lynn, a track made for the POles to blast around? We should have used Monmore. With that GB team we would have won at a canter. To use a track like Lynn was madness.
