theres very little credit given to poole and matt ford on this site, you all feel your right to have a pop, again, I have no connection with poole, but if pearson/tatum drool over them, its probably because they see a side with fire/ambition/passion/drive..they peak at the right time..i once watched Rickardsson deliberately throw a race at saddlebow road, so the tactical move could happen..was there 30 pages of moaning on here? certain riders deliberately roll at the start, riders stay down when fell off, theres loads of aspects of cheating, get over it..matt ford has turned a dull side of the 70s into a major force in british speedway, I sure know most clubs would envy a promoter like that..i personally would love Coventry towin the title next year, a club/venue I really like attending, great place, such a shame the bulldozers going to knock down that brilliant stand

the cameras seem to get everywhere during speedway on tv, so probably seen all there is to it really, as saw the Tai documentary which covered the day in the life of a speedway rider..a camera in the referee box would be interesting (on close calls)..

im going to hark on back to foxhall when berry off loaded john Louis...what a massive thing to do, to someone who lead a team to league and ko cup success, but being astute as berry was, Louis" best days were behind him (despite a few good yrs at Halifax and kings lynn),but berry knew the witches couldn't "carry" Louis, if they were to win another title. hence dennis sigalos and john cook gave the team a brand new look, and once again, berrys magic touch won the title..be bold, be brave, but loyalty is not always going tobring success

theres fans that moan, cos some say its not all about winning!!...to me, sport IS about winning..im no poole fan, but they are exactly what teams should be aspiring to be like

teams stick by same riders for far too long. if they not performing, change!...you need a winning mentality..

I hear and see all these moans about poole...the crazy gogglegate this year even, that wasn't poole"s problem, they got the run of the green, these things happen..i was around when john berry got similar accusations, it happens to all successful teams right again! matt ford and john berry, neither riders, but awesome business men, and its a shame more men like these are not around. I prefer these in charge than any ex rider myself..(mind you, there are some poor ones)!!

quite right, why would any poole fan care about other teams? Poole has won titles when team strengths were strong, over the years when diluted, poole has still stayed ahead of the game..excellent run club..the fact other teams fans hate poole,reflects the success

we hear stories of promoters "don't make money" or "run at a loss"....do these promoters work throughout the winter period then? how can ANYBODY, run a business at a loss, then have 5 months off?......everybody needs a living wage??
