  1. Doing what you suggest would make the strength of the meetings weaker, and some are already saying the racing wasnt that good anyway, me included.
  2. But all riders have gone through qualifiers haven’t they ? So go there by right. The argument with the senior GPs is “we want to see the best in the world racing”, but there seems to be an unwritten rule only so many from one country can be represented. So, when the under 21’s work differently, seem to allow as many from a country as qualify, the call from some is to stifle that. Particularly with the younger ones, I think there has to be a free reign, if you good enough and qualify then you can ride in it.
  3. Gust row is live at 5:30 today, but just starting is hightlights from round 1 at Lublin. That is starting nowc4:30 on Eurosport..
  4. I agree. Wembley didn’t always produce the best racing on world final night, but the atmosphere was amazing.
  5. By erection of temporary stands on the 3rd/4th bends (as 2016 for the World Cup) NSS will hold 9000, as much as some of the current GP stadia. The stadium bookings would be full within weeks of ticket release, so TV rights would bring in the extra income. Manchester city centre is short journey away, bus route passes by, train station, hotels in abundance. Nothing else needed.
  6. Ridiculous statement. You got to be in a race to win it. You can’t do that if you dead, and at that point you just a memory to the fans, and memories fade. The “trick” is to win as many races as possible by putting in as much effort as possible but staying on the bike.
  7. The case for a GP at NSS Belle Vue Manchester England must be getting stronger.
  8. Done it, I deleted the recording. Usually I record the full meeting, then record the shorter highlighted meeting (usually 2 hours) and save for the winter months. Not this one, apart from the first lap passing just wasn’t going to happen. Give the riders a race track. seeing how successful Ole Olsen was as a rider, I cannot see how he come up with a track like this.
  9. But when you can receive it, and you watch it, sometimes you wonder why you bothered. Tonight is one of them times. I recording it, but it will be wiped out pretty soon.
  10. and there we have it, Buttons doesnt like Keith Heuwen as a commentator, but Vince thinks he would be ok. People have different personalities, someone could be a very nice person but his/her personality can rub us up the wrong way, whereas another person we accept no problem. Such is life. With speedway, we could just use the remote to turn the sound down a bit (or off), but that may spoil the pleasure of hearing speedway bikes roaring...... so just have to put up with it.sound
  11. I sincerely hope you proved wrong. The last 2 gp’s have been really good, the next 2 likely to be the same, hope Vojens is not a flop.
  12. If they going to have a qualifier that leads to riders choosing their riding number then it’s obvious (to me) the interest to viewers is Why did a rider choose a certain number, so I don’t agree the question is pointless, even if she asks the same question to the first 5 or 6 riders.
  13. Nothing too much wrong with Tatum and Person IMO. Natalie Q is ok too. I would like to see another in the studio alongside Scotty, but naturally that puts the cost up.
  14. Less then £6.50 for the Kindle version on Amazon I look forward to reading the book.
  15. Seems like you wouldn’t approve of anyone.
  16. As I said earlier, I tried to watch it knowing meetings sometimes get better, but after 6 races I had enough. Loked like the track was two long straights with semi circle at each end. Seen meetings from tracks like before and they tend to be lacking (Togliatti for SoN few weeks ago comes to mind). Be interested what Vojens this Saturday will be like.
  17. You mean Gorican where the GP Challenge was held the other week? I watched about 6 races and it was boring, did it get better?
  18. Obviously your statement IS wrong, otherwise current GP riders would not be allowed to enter the qualifiers for the Challenge in the first place.
  19. So, if Zagar and Iversen were coasting last Saturday in Teterow I cant wait to see them flying.
  20. I think Robert is riding the gp’s hoping to impress for a wild card 2020. I not sure he deserves one yet.
  21. Well I went, comfortable seat in the grandstand, I understand all Colt matches are grandstand seats only, so for £10 was good value. 7:30 start and over by 9:00. Tractor only out once and that was for about 4 laps. Scoreline suggests the match was one side, but couple of Mildenhall riders got in the mix a few times. What let Mildenhall down was engine failures. Couple of slow speed crashes so fortunately no one hurt. Good to see the youngsters, bodes well for the future.
  22. Sometimes fans forget riders are only human after all and the body needs time to heal.
  23. Surely you want the best riders in the GP series. If that means 3 from the current GP series comes 1,2,3 in the Challenge then they are showing they are part of the best available. Other then that you not getting the best in the woeld racing. Which do you really want????
  24. Didnt see Zagar nor Iversen taking it easy last Saturday in the GP, even though they already in nexts years series. I think pride comes into it. All the GP riders would rather qualify through this years series rather then the Challenge, though that is certainly a tough way to qualify. The likes of Tai didnt have to come back so soon this year, he will get a wild card, but pride makes him ride and get as many points as possible.
  25. Even if TW or JD cannot win the trophy this year it will still be a great night. We all different but I would be happy to see top 15 in the world battle it out, and would want to see Charles Wright tackle the Cardiff track.
