  1. The UKs housing crisis is more as described earlier, Londons moves to Reading as it's cheaper and they force up the price, so people from Reading move to Swindon as it's cheaper and force up prices. They in turn move to Newport and force up prices, and those people move up into the Welsh valleys. It's a ripple effect. I'm not gong to say there's a lack of houses and more houses won't fix the issue but it's not the main issue. It's banks lending silly amounts, mainly to BTL investors that has caused our recent issues. But a "housing crisis" means most people who do no look into it will get upset at the idea of homes being left empty. Id pay very little attention to Shelter. A lot of their funding comes from Nationwide building society. One of the biggest BTL mortgage providers in the UK. They're hardly going to want homes to be made more affordable, it'll mean less profit for them!!
  2. What is the potential benefit of doing that?
  3. If Coventry sign PK along with 3 other riders who have raced 15 or more meetings as a heat leader then yes I'll say it's wrong. Believe it or not I'm capable of looking at the bigger picture.
  4. His second string meetings are irrelevant. His 20 meeting rolling average was attained riding as a heat leader, not a second string. He's a heat leader. Otherwise Bjerre and Andersen who rode a handful of meetings as a second string are not on the heat leader list.
  5. So Peter Karlsson who has spent 99% of the last 20 years as a heat leader, attained all of his average as a heat leader, is not a heat leader? If he's not it makes a mockery of the heat leader list.
  6. I believe he's always been a Coventry asset.
  7. Jorgensen wanted to come but, for some reason - I assume hes been offered big bucks elsewhere - hes changed his mind" Or maybe he's just been offered more, not significantly more. But just more. Doesn't have to make it "bit bucks" if Havelock has a "sensible" rate of pay.
  8. hed do well to hit 6.5 now he hasn't got his dodgy bikes!
  9. Hows that going to work? 50% of the EL also ride PL, so if you had one PL you'd need to find 30 new riders!
  10. And now the BSPA might just start to realise that the 40.5 points limit is far too high.
  11. Obviously Horton had not read Sandhus plan!
  12. Said a few weeks back I'm expecting Zengota and Summers, thats not changed. Difference then is I was expecting Harris and Garrity too!
  13. But the point is that every drafts riders EL average was equally inflated so they all lost in equal measures. I do accept there is then the issue of how you determine how they move into the 1-5. Maybe just taking 75% of their EL averages would have been fairer? The onyl rider who loss out doing it that way is Newman who has a large discrepancy between his EL and PL average. Surely you can see it mad that that only just over half a point between Newman and Bates in the EL, Newman is far superior to Bates at EL and Bates PL average is inflated due to riding 90% of a season in reserve while Newmans is deflated due to having to ride so many heat 15s.
  14. By average he was our biggest flop after Hans! He dropped 0.42 while Joonas improves 0.44
  15. xbmc isn't illegal. Owning a computer isn't illegal. Watching illegal streams is illegal.
  16. Actually try and build 8 teams up to 40.5 using all the riders who ended last season, minus Zagar, Magic and Kildemand and replaced with 5 pointed from the PL or abroad. See how close you get. You'll fail. The limit should be nearer 38
  17. That could be true TBF. If so I bow to your superior knowledge. It would appear I've made an incorrect assumption here.
  18. Regarding BWD, once the BSPA decided he was eligible for the NL his PL (and EL) average was 3.00. I don't see how there can be any doubt, it's not even a grey area. I think the issue is they illegally let him ride NL.
  19. Starke was always going to be one of, if not the top tier two rider. It's why Wolves fans were so appalled their management didn't pick him, thus leaving him for the second team to pick to have him.... Poole!
  20. And if you want a Ferrari just go to you local dealership, test drive one and never take it back! Equally as legal as the quoted post.
  21. Because the promoters, collectively agreed to use PL averages, which makes Newman one of the lowest and gave them a good 2nd pick!
  22. It's not the end of the World, I agree. But it's always better for our sport if its more accessible to more people. I was able to tell the people I work with that Britain was about to get a World Champion recently and to watch on Eurosport, most had Eurosport a few watched and commented on it that week. Put it on a more obscure channel and less of them people will watch next time.
  23. Yeah, local politicians may be of use. But what have this all party speedway group achieved? They've given Harkess, a man who has chaired a pretty rubbish few years for British, an award! FFS!
