  1. Im guessing it'll be shown after the love rugby that finishes at 8. Either the speedway will be delayed 30 minutes or they'll have 30 minutes less chatting after the rugby.
  2. Ill second that. It's always nice to see a smaller and less glamorous club do well - a bit like BV in the EL this season.
  3. The forecasts are saying it will, definetly at some point rain Monday. That's not in doubt. Friday it might not rain so there less risk of it being rain effected.
  4. But we have to make a decision before 48 hours due to Sky. It's better to run on a damp Friday than a damp Monday. There's also more chance of Friday's forecast changing than Monday's due to the time into the futures they aren't.
  5. As I said to Coventry fans when they started getting excited about a new stadium because Brandon is going. Brandon and Blunsdon are NOT bad stadiums at all. Old yes but bad? No way. Will any new stadium be on a par? No chance! Certainly not one knocked up in 5 months as we're told the new Swindon stadium will be. And unless they start building a replacement for Brandon soon the 18 months they have will be pushing it too to build a better alternative. Blunsdon while a little old, a little worn is still pretty good. Look at most other UK tracks, certainly anything built in the last 30 years. Redcar, Scunthorpe, Somerset, Plymouth, Leicester, Newport..... Not one of them is/was the standard of Blunsdon (or Brandon)
  6. If it's true that Barker has been told by not riding EL this year he'll be on the draft (same with Richie Worrall) then I'll laugh - bees lose Garrity to the 1-5 but gain Barker in reserve! I'd expect the points limit to drop a point or two next year as well meaning the Bees would in effect be swapping Barker for Robbo/Howarth while all but Wolves would have to make changes!
  7. There should be deadlines for play-off meetings. It's ok waiting until later but you have the farcical situation of Peterborough wanting meeting later due to rider riding in the U21s that but delays all later rounds and will see Edinburgh likely to have to run meeting without Masters and Sedgmen who will be in Australia for the GP - plus it'll be colder, darker and probably wetter. If this is Sheffields reserved date for the play-offs then Peterborough should suck it up.
  8. Country mile? 4 points. And Deserve? We all know there are play-offs and thats all that matters.
  9. Back in March, would you have been happy to pay £7 to know the Bees were in the play-off final? It's £2 Monday and possibly a little more for the final, hardly the end of the World.
  10. Stop it. It's funny watching him get wound up over some media spin
  11. If this proves to be correct it's only what was promised at the start! The Millenium Stadium is on the same road as a lot of the pubs and bars. So even if you find yourself at the bottom of Mill Lane (about as far as any pub/bar needs to be) and you're sat on bend 2 it's less than 0.75 of a mile to walk. It doesn't require buses, trains or taxis. Nor does it require any kind of long walk. You're there within single figure minutes. Every year there is a small group of us who leave the pub at 5pm and get in for start time. Cardiff just works well, either by luck or good planning it's perfect. You have the stadium that merges into bars/clubs/pubs that merges into restaurants that then merges into shops. It suits everyone.
  12. If Josh Bates is one of your top 3 in the PL you'll have as bad season in the PL as you've just had in the EL.
  13. Technically there were no tier 1s last season but Stevie was Swindons senior reserve last year. There other reserve was Bates/Ritchings/Greenwood/Greaves
  14. I'll defend GPs going to the Millenoum Stadiun, the Etihad, the Friends arena. The racing may not be the best but I'd say it's acceptable these days and it means huge crowds and a greater chance of media attention. I'll also defend the Polish and Swedish GP in real tracks as they tend to result in good racing and that's ultimately what it's about. I even "got" Finland. What does confuse me is going to a crap track with crap facilities. It doesn't appease the purist with good racing and it's not even going to make a blip on the median radar. It seems to be all the negative with none of the positives. Ok BSI might make a few ££ of someone but surely that someone is only going to lose money?! It's not like Cardiff and the Welsh government pay large sums bit local business gets it back in bucket loads in hotels and beers sold over a weekend. How many people will be at Tetrow? And how many will go for a weekend in Tetrow?
  15. I actually think we have the closest 4 teams the play-offs have ever had. One bit of bad luck for any team could be all it takes.
  16. Roscos comments post-meeting seem to suggest it wasn't taking it easy. He's not happy with certain riders performances!
  17. They don't. There are 15 riders in the GPs and there were 48 GP qualifier places that were determined in some cases by national titles. That means in theory 63 rider had a chance - lose a handful for those who did the GP and the qualifier but gain a few more for those who had to qualify via a national championship like the Danes, Poles and Aussie had to do AFAIK. What riders haven't had a chance to qualify for the GPs?
  18. Just thought I'd pop this one back up for a giggle
  19. Steve, it's not so much Wolves finishing bottom it your continual laughing and mocking over the years of people's predictions and your claims they're stupid as anything can happen. And then this years your instance that Leicester were the worst team in the league - yet they were better than your sorry shower than until about 2 months ago you thought could still beat Swindon! Still, as you've said yourself, anything can happen.... The fun with predictions is when you're right you can Lord it over everyone else with tales of how great you are. But when you're wrong expect some leg pulling
  20. TBF, winning the GP is pretty irrelevant. It's all about scoring points. It's nice if you win a GP but only if you're a lower order rider.
  21. There plenty of us who would do both! I fail to believe a single person would pick Manchester over Cardiff, Manchester would be in addition to or people who live in the area and had no intention of going to Cardiff anyway. Have them in March and October too so theres plenty of time between the two. It's about time the country that has had the most fans pay to go to GPs gets a second GP anyway!
