Try booking a hotel in Cardiff for GP day the day before the GP. You can't get one, the hotels are full. That suggests their pricing is either spot or or potentially slightly too low.

AFAIK, none of Colin Hills money was used at Plymouth while Mike Bowden was there. As for the suggestions that Allen Trump should have used his own money, I disagree. If Colin Hill had left the money to be used to help rehome Exeter and thats what Allen Trump spent the money on then it's reasonable enough. I doubt Allen Trump intentionally wasted it - business men tend to hate spending money, even other peoples!

BV 3rd and Swindon 4th!

After last night I doubt Swindon will be making the play-offs. They have to win 3 of their 7 away meetings. They have to go back to Poole, twice at Coventry. They have to get wins at Lynn, Lakeside, BV and Wolves. That does admittedly assume BV don't lose a home meeting.

Because the alternative is to have riders like Darryl Ritchings riding and he's not grade A draft level rider. Even Hall is not really that level but is better than using even lower level NL rider. It's a sport and an entertainment first and foremost before it is a training ground for young riders. You could argue the laughing stock is having an EL that has to train up youngsters because the lower leagues are failing!

It 4 guest bookings per team. And it makes sense or Carl, a rider only allowed to guest and not ride full time could become in effect a full time Lion. As from Saturday Leicester can use anyone but Newman as a guest anyway, that includes Garrity.

It's once again promotion seemingly oblivious tot he fans and whats going on. Rather than starting dead on 7.30 and cracking on at a brisk but reasonable pace then they could have got 15 heats in. But no, they had to eek it out, probably looking for a rain off (saves the promoter money if he doesn't have to pay for 15 heats) while taking as long as possible to get money in the bar etc.

Probably struggle because of Coventrys cheek and riding a meeting that clashes with Swindon so you can't use Hans as a guest Darryl rode at Lakeside for the Bees a few months back, he only scored a point but he looked ok. Could do worse.

If they're going to run heat 10 on a soaked track, they should run 11,12,13,14 and 15 too. Like they did at Poole in the semi final last year!

Tai can throw in a stinker from the gate though. Emil is probably the more consistent but not as good on a good day. Its actually a real shame that we have no way of telling who is the best because all 3 are not in the GPs because of Ward being a wally and someone in the Sayfutdinov camp being a wally.

As David has said himself, never a World Champion but the sport needs David Howes to survive every week. Also, from the very few number of times I've chatted to him a bloody nice guy who made no excuses for his own performances. Good luck in your retirement David!

Summers average is surprisingly low. We have just short of PL 8 and Summers is 7.2ish

So it's not bad enough they've been allowed to use Lambert and Grondal but they can also choose to put their 3rd best rider in reserve?
