  1. Isn't the easier way to get a bigger engine to use long and short stroke bits interchangeably?
  2. How did Russia being in the mix make it any easier for us? Russians being there or not, we have to beat the Poles more than they beat us (not 100% true but still...). If you had Greg Laguta in the race beating us and the Poles it would be 2 and 1 for us and Poland, with a blank it'll be 3 and 2 instead. Makes no difference.
  3. Ignore that Poole (and Coventry) were involved this time. Is it right that meetings get to heat 10 and are called off? It was agreed, it seems, by the people controlling the meeting around about heat 8 that they'd get to heat 10 and call it off. If they knew at that point the track was dangerous, shouldn't it have been called off then? Not pushing through 2 more heats.
  4. USA Gino Manzares Greg Hancock Poland Maciej Janowski Bartosz Zmarlik Russia Vatali Belousov Andrei Kudriashov Great Britain Tai Woffinden Chris Harris Thank you
  5. While I agree, Darcy didn't appeal the ruling so all points should be removed.
  6. But if you can tune it and now suddenly score more points than the people who have not tuned it you can earn a lot more money and win stuff.
  7. If Kings isn't a gater he must falling into the racer category but I can count he passes I have seen by Danny King on one hand. Right now I only need one finger. He is very much a gater.
  8. After practice which I believe is tomorrow morning.
  9. Bloody dirty swedes injuring Jarek Hampel has ruined any chance I have!
  10. Yes, it works on TVs according to the website. "Eurosport Player is also available on Samsung, LG and Panasonic connected TVs ! Download the app on the store and enjoy a new TV experience, complementary to "classic" TV !" and "rom your desktop or your mobile devices, play Eurosport Player on your TV wirelessly to enjoy all the sporting action in big!"
  11. My dad aid a few weeks ago, none of the longer term GP riders give him a hard time, they all seem to show him far more respect than they do others. So its funny that the youngsters in the GP series and the SWC seem to be the riders barging by him in recent times. Do the other riders in the GP series show him too much respect possibly?
  12. Regarding the "no reserves" rule, I think it just means you don't need to declare a reserve.
  13. Greg bores me, I'll not be upset when he retires but last season he was a worthy World Champion. The only rider close enough to stake a claim was KK who scored 0 in 1 GP- is that the rider you want as World Champ? Frankly, how Hancock is riding in 2015 shouldn't be relevant to him being 2014 World Champion. And OMG I've just defended Greg Hancock.
  14. How good is he? 7 in his first SWC meeting passing the current World Champion, one silly mistake aside touching the tapes aside he didn't get flustered when he found himself in traffic and just slowly and steadily made his way through it. Having a great season at EL level and every time he is interviewed he comes across as a decent, level headed guy. There are many things wrong with British Speedway at the moment but Robert is so far from being one of them things. He's one of the few thing we all have to look forward to. I for one love watching his race and continue to be impressed by him all the time.
  15. Lambert was on it in his first two. Didnt look after that.
  16. You can go one of two way, try and get the 6 points in the next 2 heats and put pressure on Aus, or hope to cling on for them two heats and then come good. Knowing Danny King can't be trusted in heat 15s at league level (he has a truly abysmal average for heat 15s) I'd have wanted him out sooner personally so he had less pressure on him. So if you're going down that route, you have to go with the strong finish, which Rosco went for. In short, I'd have done the same.
  17. Danny King isn't going to beat any Poles, Laguta or Hancock on Thursday so out Howarth in - he can't do any worse and the experience for a youngster will be more useful.
  18. Without Greg Hancock that meeting would have been dull. Involved in more passes than any other rider and didn't make a single pass himself
  19. The two youngsters there showing how it's done. Pass up the inside!!
  20. Yes, rode it in the two Sky meetings last week and Lambert is using one too.
  21. I though the FIM/IMG could nominate anyone this year and had done away with reserves?
  22. But Wood Street is more congested than St Mary Street. and 20,000 people is nothing if 200,000 people normally use the street!
  23. Chris Harris and Joonas Kylmakorpi were both fined on Monday for refusing to ride on a dangerous track (in a meeting that 70 second later was abandoned due to a dangerous track!), so I assume Carl Wilkinson has got a fine too? No doubt todays problems are the fault of the EL We all know all speedways ills are confined to the EL It's 2015, why is speedway still using tapes?! Lights and transponders, it's the future!
