  1. Who mentioned Hans?! LOL. The discussion is about Hans you cretin.
  2. As someone who has been to a forum with Jon Cook and heard him talk and get feedback from the fans - then go on to do the complete opposite . I wouldn't trust a word the guy says.
  3. Starman being prick again. I NEVER said Hans should be replaced. So again, are you going to apologise for posting lies about me? Or are you going to continue being a prick and refuse? Starman, whats this? Oh and look at all the likes by Bees fans! As for fickle, you may want to look it up. I didnt like Havvy when we were bottom of the league, I dint like him as manager when we were mid-table and snuck into the play-offs and I don't want him as manager now we're top of the table by a long way. Thats as far from fickle as it gets lol
  4. Fans? One person wanted him sacked. The vast majority all agreed he is a class rider who was going through a tough spell and backed him. He's still a mupet and he still shouldn't be at the club. Tactically, he makes (or more importantly doesn't make) the right tactical moves.
  5. Which would have been Bobbie Fisher in the 80s.
  6. Ignore his scores away, look at who he beats. Compared to his home form, it's pants. But he's 17, and for a 17 year old it's brilliant. He looks like he's going to be a heat leader in July - so he's imprivibg all the time. Next season he can look to up his away form.
  7. Another thing, the PL format is not great. Looks at who the #7 rides against! 6 and 7, 5 and 7, 2 and 7 then 3 (or 4) and 7 (or 6). So of 8 opponents, 5 are reserves and sometimes never against a heat leader.
  8. Allen Trump eh? Good luck Plymouth! Killed Oxford, tried to kill Coventry. Not exactly a friend of the establishment so probably going to find it tough.
  9. I agree. Averages, useless for comparison. Even using the same format it's useless between two leagues and two eras. But lets take the EL, Craig Cook will ride heats for Edinburgh again NL riders, in the same team as two of them (Clegg and Branford) yet in the EL, the worst riders he's in a heat with are Bates, Starke, Nielsen, Lambert and Rose who are all PL #6's. For Cook feel free to use King. Admittedly in the case of Poole/Holder there is an anomaly. The the other big gap is between Iversen, AJ, Lindgren and PK vs the lowest second strings of Robbo, Fricke, Lambert, Lawson, Zengota, Gomolski and Wells (edit - and Masters). All of whom are capable of beating heat leaders - to the point they have all done so in their last 2 EL meetings. One of the arguments by PL fans is the standard is closer so you get closer racing. Thats wrong. the EL standard is closer meaning you get, IMO anyway, closer racing in the EL than you do the PL. I'm sure PL fans look at it that Iversen, Zagar, Jonsson etc are riding against Nielsen, Bates and Starke but they don't, they never meet. And IMO, thats a good thing, it keeps races closer, even if it does mess up averages due to the BSPA inability to weight races. I bet theres less 0s and 1s scored in the EL. And weirdly, the last 2 days has seen two EL heat leaders score 0!
  10. But can you not see that your comment, " the very best riders do not compete against the weakest riders" in it's own right, without figures, suggests that the EL riders in each race are of a closer level? A fairer way of determining if EL races are more even would be to see what % of races are won by blue and yellow. The better riders in both league ride in red and white generally (there are exceptions in both leagues) but I bet it's more evenly spread in the EL. I'd rather bet that the 4th best rider in an EL race is going to win it than the 4th rider in the average PL race tbh.
  11. You do realise this Poole team won't be the one that goes into the play-offs right?
  12. I don't know why Workington signed Hansen. Missed loads of meeting, averaging about 5. Was never going to get his 7.5 average.
  13. Newport, Stoke, IoW and Mildenhall. All failed in the PL. Proof the PL is crap obviously. While Bournmouth, Newport, IoW and Weymouth all failed in the NL, proof it's crap obviously.
  14. It really was. Did anyone predict a Kings Lynn win tonight? Watt should have score 4 or 5 tonight just beating Masters and Porsing. you and the other Swindon fans are saying Coventry blew it with Kylmo scoring 000 well Poole must have done with Watt scoring 000!
  15. Did anyone really see that coming? Well Done to the Star - especially Ash Morris whos 6 points kind of defies his recent for. a victory for the good guys
  16. Be awkward if it not. Everyone is winning at Leicester, apart form Leicester!
  17. They had a 20 minute interval after heat 4 when they cold have done that!
  18. Maybe so but Holder has beat Iversen twice and Watt can't even beat Masters, Porsing and Lambert who are all second strings (albeit it Masters is riding as a heat leader tonight)
  19. I'm just having a bit of fun TBH, before the meeting I predicted 4 points either way and tbh, we threw it away in heat 12. That should have been a 5-1 I doubt there were many at home or in the stadium who felt different. You're right, when you look at it, Coventry could have got the win but as I said on twitter, we got a league points, lost by 4 and thats with lots of "if onlys", thats a positive IMO. It's not like we're desperate for points so will be looking back on this as "the one that got away". The other positive, the 3 points for you knocks Wolves out of the play-off places so I was imagining stevebrum sat at home watch the meeting in tears
  20. I can't believe they're having an interval!
  21. Was discussing this a few days ago with a mate and we both agreed, Swindons team is capable of being the best away team at Brandon this season - I wouldn't be too shocked if you got a few points out of us yet this season!
  22. So you think, a team that had 3 poor riders according to your fans (Harris, Kylmo and Robbo) and then had one crash out could still only be defeated by 4 point? Yikes. Surely any time an away team in speedway turns up with 3 poor riders and a number 1 crashing out you should be looking at a big win?! As I said earlier, 14 points from Bees heat leaders and you still couldn't see us off. Yet you lot think we were bad. Next time you have posisbly more points to come form Troy but we have more to come from Hans, Robbo, Joonas and Bomber
  23. It's almost as if promoters and managers are not that quick when it comes to change.....
  24. TBF, he's a 5 point rider, at Wolves we lost by 6 with the replacement scoring 1, Sarj only needed 4 for us to have won. At Lynn, lost by 8 with the replacement scoring 0, 5 from Sarj and we'd have won - a point from him and it would have meant scoring at least a point in every meeting. Maybe not exactly terribly bad luck but hardly the good luck that it's being suggested Coventry have had. Yes a weak Kings Lynn come to Coventry and we did gain from Magic being missing for Poole (tho give Magic/Lawsons rides 4 more and Coventry would have still won 46-44 - give Magic any more points and you have to start taking points off his team mates so would have still be 46-44)
